Ring of Honor High Impact TV #1 --- September 3rd, 2003 on WGTW Channel 48
.....

Segment #1- Low Ki opens the show in the ring of an empty Murphy Recreation Center by welcoming everyone to Ring of Honor!

Segment #2- The opening of the show plays and when it is done, Low Ki is back in the ring to define what Ring of Honor is all about and go over the five "commandments" to be followed in Ring of Honor.  Low Ki is interrupted by "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels, the leader of The Prophecy.  Daniels tells Low Ki that the end is about to begin.  Low Ki leaves the ring to go after Daniels.

Segment #3- High Impact TV announcers Donnie B. and Steve Corino "officially" open the show.

Segment #4- The Christopher Street Connection with Allison Danger head to the ring as we go to commercial.

A promo is aired for the Ring Of Honor show in Philadelphia on 9/21/02.

Segment #5- Da Hit Squad vs. The Christopher Street Connection with Allison Danger.  This is the first ever ROH match and it didn't take long for the ROH "commandments" to go to hell as Da Hit Squad attacked the Christopher Street Connection from behind.  Why they were not DQ'd for breaking the Code of Ethics ... in the first ever match no less ... is beyond me, but they take care of the CSC in little time with a burning hammer, then proceed to put Allison Danger through a table.  Da Hit Squad defeats The Christopher Street Connection in a match from 2/23/02.

Segment #6- Pennsylvania State Athletic Commissioner Frank Talent is shown in the back giving a pep talk to the wrestlers before a show.

Segment #7- Little Guido cuts a promo backstage saying that he is going back to his roots and his UWFi days and will from now on be known as James Maritato.

Segment #8- James Maritato and Xavier make their way to the ring.

Commercial breaks and promos for the 9/21/02 show and the Era Of Honor Begins video.

Segment #9- James Maritato vs. Xavier.  Maritato's shoot credentials are mentioned many times during this match as is Xavier's background in Jiu-jitsu, Tae-kwon-do and other martial arts.  This was a hard hitting match that Xavier wins to raise his Ring of Honor record to 2-0 at the time.

Segment #10- This was a long segment with highlights from the Bret Hart Shoot Interview tape.  Bret begins by discussing Owen's death and how he thought they should have stopped the show, etc etc etc.  He goes on to complain about other things as well and basically shows everyone that he has gone from one of the best wrestlers in the world, to one of the most bitter men in the world.  The Olympics were not stopped in 1972 when 11 athletes were killed by terrorists, the Daytona 500 was not stopped when Dale Earnhardt was killed ... I could go on and on .... get over it already.  Anyway ..... this segment lasted awhile and took away from the show in my opinion, but I guess RF Video feels the need to shill their videos on their TV show.  I actually started writing this report during this segment because I wasn't interested.

Segment #11- American Dragon vs. Low Ki vs. "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels from the 2/23/02 show.  Corino mentions how he is best friends with Chris Daniels and considers him the best pound for pound wrestler in the world!  As you can expect by the men involved in this match, this was non-stop action with Low Ki coming out victorious by pinning Christopher Daniels.  American Dragon takes the mic and challenges Low Ki saying he may have won but he didn't beat him.  Daniels takes the mic from Dragon and tells them they both can go to hell.  Daniels says if it were a singles match he would beat them both and challenges them both to singles matches on the same night.  Low Ki suggests they have a Round Robin Challenge at the next show.  Low Ki and Dragon shake hands, but Daniels refuses too.  This is the second violation of the Code of Ethics on the show.

Segment #12- Steve Corino cuts a promo outside the building saying that everyone who watches ROH tapes wonders why Corino doesn't wrestle for ROH.   He says he is a Japanese superstar and has not had time for Ring Of Honor.  But he hears American Dragon claiming to be a star in Japan too.  Corino says that carrying Shawn Michaels bags to Japan doesn't make him a star and come October 5th, he is going to give American Dragon a lesson in Japanese wrestling!

NOTES/OPINIONS:  While Donnie B. was with Steve Corino for the show's open, Eric Gargiulo was the announcer during the matches as the matches that were aired were from the time he was with ROH.  For those of you who have not heard Eric Gargiulo's work, you are missing out.  He is by far the best young announcer in the business and really knows his stuff.  You can actually learn by listening to his announcing. Steve Corino is also very entertaining to listen to. The shoot interview segment with Bret Hart really took away from this show and just made it all seem "minor league".  Not comparing the feds, but XPW's TV debut was very professional with nice graphics and gave a lot of background info.  While ROH's graphics were decent for an indy fed, they wasted a lot of time with the shoot segment that could have otherwise been used to catch the fans up on ROH some more.

Next week's show will feature The Amazing Red vs. Jay Briscoe, Spanky vs. Paul London, and highlights from the Round Robin Challenge. Overall, an entertaining show that could have been better without the Bret Hart segment.

2010 - WWE broadcast Smackdown.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV report:

We begin tonight with a look back at the night we found out from Teddy Long that Undertaker was in a vegetative state. We then see Kane’s comments about how he did not do it. Little did we know that he did do it. We move to Kane being confronted by Undertaker and Kane’s response.

We are live on tape from Albany, New York and your announcers are Matt ‘Capital City’ Striker and Todd ‘Hey Cole, how old will Snooki be when Smackdown has its 900th episode’ Grisham.

The somber tone is gone because it is time for a fiesta and your host is being introduced by Ricardo Rodriguez. Alberto Del Rio drives in style into the arena and he is wearing white to show his purity.

While Alberto comes to the ring, Todd mentions that Rey Mysterio has a fractured wrist.

Alberto Del Rio reminds us who he is and everyone already knows that. Alberto asks everyone if they remember what he did to his Amigito, the little Chihuahua, Rey Mysterio. In case you missed it, we have the footage from last week. Alberto is proud of his work and he says that he is showing this celebration because he has removed Rey Mysterio from the WWE. He says that he proved to everyone that Mysterio is a weak representation of the Mexican people. He says that Mysterio is a Chicano and he is ashamed of it and that is why he wears his mask. He says that Rey is like an animal. He compares Rey to a burro, and he shows us a piñata with Rey’s mask on it. Alberto hits the piñata and shows us that Rey is full of candy. He says that Mysterio is nothing but a broken burro. Alberto gets some champagne and makes a toast. Alberto says that he is handsome, powerful, and rich. He says that he is everything.

Christian comes out and apologizes for interrupting. Christian wants to introduce himself to Alberto and he asks Alberto who he is . . . and Christian interrupts and calls him JBL. . . . Juan Bradshaw Layfield. Christian says that he is kidding. He says that everyone knows who Alberto is. He is a huge international star and calls him Enrique Iglesias. Christian starts to sing Hero and Alberto says that Christian thinks that he is funny. Christian tries a hors d’oeuvre but he does not like the taste and spits it out. Christian says that he didn’t come out to taste his crappy hors d’oeuvres, marvel over his expensive cars or tailor made suits. He wants to says that he did not appreciate what Alberto did to a friend of his, Rey Mysterio. Christian says that Alberto can hit all of the donkey piñatas he wants, but Alberto is the only jackass that he sees. Alberto yells at Christian for ruining his fiesta and disrespecting him. He says that Christian wants to end up like Rey Mysterio and cry in a hospital. Christian asks Alberto if he is looking for a fight because he has a match tonight. However, he will fight Alberto tonight in front of his peeps.

Alberto tells his manservants to leave the ring. Alberto takes off his jacket and he gets in Christian’s face. Christian says something to Alberto and Alberto smiles and backs away. Alberto picks up his jacket and he is about to leave the ring. He says that there is going to be another place and another time. He says that Christian will pay for this. Alberto leaves the ring.

Christian watches Alberto leave the ring and Alberto winks at Christian. Alberto points at Christian and that means that Christian should have looked because Drew McIntyre attacks him from behind and sends Christian to the floor. Alberto pours some champagne on Christian and stands over Christian before leaving.

We go to commercial, but Kane will be making a major announcement when we come back.

We are back and Kane’s pyro goes off and he is on the TitanTron. He says that the final chapter for the world always ends the same. For some it is Armageddon. For some it is the apocalypse. For many, it is just the end of the world. For his brother, the Undertaker, the end of his world will happen at Night of Champions. Kane says that he will defend his title against his brother. He says that Night of Champions will be the crowning moment because he will put the Undertaker to rest by the Devil’s favorite demon. Kane says that Taker was right when he said that Kane is haunted by envy. Unlike Taker, Kane says that he recognizes his vices. Taker’s deadly sin of pride will be his undoing while Kane says that his sin of envy will make him more powerful. Kane says that he has longed after Taker’s powers more than Taker could ever know. After all of these years, they are his.

Kane laughs as the arena turns blue and we see some druids wheeling a casket to the ring.

The picture gets distorted as the casket opens and Kane is inside. Kane rolls into the ring and he says that he wishes he could see the look on his brother’s face. Kane says that he wishes he could be there to see his brother’s expression when he realizes that there is nothing he can do to stop Kane. Kane says that he wants to know how Taker feels to be walking in his shadow. Kane was always the second one chosen and the afterthought. Kane says that things have changed. When he looks at his brother, all he sees is weakness. Kane says that he saw his weakness when he attacked Taker and left him comatose. He saw it when he drove Taker’s head into the mat. He saw it on Monday when Taker showed that he is not the phenom any more. We go to the footage from Monday night when Taker was attacked by Nexus.

Kane says that while the rest of the world waited in anticipation for the Undertaker to rise up like he always does, Kane says that he knew that Taker would lay there like the mangled wretch that he has become. He says that Taker’s powers have gone and they belong to him. When their saga is over, the Undertaker will be no more. The man once known as the Phenom will become a memory known as Kane’s Brother. At Night of Champions, the Undertaker will feel his rage and there is nothing that Taker can do about this. There is nothing that Taker can do to stop his demise. Kane says that nothing can stop him.

The lights go out and Taker’s music plays. Taker comes out and he stands across the ring from his brother. The lights go out and Kane is no longer in the ring when the lights go back on.

Taker looks for his brother and sees that the casket has closed. Taker goes towards the casket and when he opens the casket, Kane is not in there. Taker looks around and Kane is heard laughing on the TitanTron. Kane says that Taker might not have taught him everything about evil, but Kane says that he does not have anything left to learn. He says that they are called the Brother’s of Destruction, but after Night of Champions Taker will be known as the “Brother that I have destroyed”.

2012 - WWE broadcast Raw.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV report:

This week, we begin with a look back at what happened between Jerry Lawler and CM Punk over the last few weeks.

We are live from Chicago, Illinois and your announcer is Michael ‘I am the A.J. Pierzynski of WWE’ Cole.

Michael Cole talks about the fact that we only have one announcer tonight. It is because Jerry Lawler was brawling with CM Punk in the back before the show started. Lawler and Punk had to be separated by Punk got in a few shots on Lawler and he does not appear to be in any condition to do commentary.

The World Champion Sheamus makes his way to the ring. Sheamus comments on what we have seen so far. He says that the party never ends when he is in Chicago. He says the party will end for one man . . . Alberto Del Rio. At Night of Champions . . .

CM Punk’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Punk tells Sheamus not to come out and try to talk to his hometown. Punk says that the people cannot relate to Sheamus but they can relate to him because he is from Chicago. Punk wants to know how everyone is doing.

Punk says that we saw him beating up Jerry Lawler earlier, but the cameras did not pick up Lawler attacking him. You better not miss when you go after the King of Chicago. He says that it is not bad enough that Jerry Lawler had to attack him from behind, but he has been attacking his integrity.

Last week, he took it upon himself to teach Jerry a lesson in the steel cage, until the white knight stuck his nose where it did not belong. That white knight is named John Cena. Punk says that what he did to Jerry Lawler because Lawler deserved it after he said that Punk turned his back on the WWE Universe.

Punk wants to know if he turned his back on the WWE Universe. Punk tells John Cena that he helped Jerry Lawler and that means that you agree with Jerry Lawler. If you agree with Jerry Lawler, you do not agree with him. If you do not agree with CM Punk, you are disrespecting him.

If you disrespect the WWE Champion for 288 days, then John Cena is the one who has turned his back on the WWE Universe.

Sheamus finally jumps in after listening to Punk for about five minutes. He says that he knows that we are in Punk’s home town. Sheamus says that Punk is talking about disrespect, but Punk can come out here and say that he is the best in the world, Sheamus reminds Punk that he is the World Champion. Punk interrupted him. That is the crime that the Rock committed when Rock interrupted him.

Sheamus says that the Rock had the guts to step into the ring, unlike Punk who is on the stage. Sheamus suggests that Punk come on down.

Punk says that he already beat up one goon. He has nothing to do with Sheamus. Being the World Champion makes him at best, the second best in the world. There is a pecking order and Sheamus is behind him so he tells Sheamus to shut his mouth.

Sheamus wants Punk to turn around because he is talking out of his arse so Sheamus figures that he should be looking at it.

CM Punk is now interrupted by the Raw General Manager AJ Lee and she tells Punk and Sheamus that she has an announcement. In one match, Alberto Del Rio will face John Cena. In the other main event, we will have Champion versus Champion with CM Punk facing Sheamus.

AJ skips around the ring and back up the ramp to the back.
