WWE NXT REPORT: JOE VERSUS OWENS, FINN BALOR . . . THE EARLY YEARS WITH COMMENTS FROM BECKY LYNCH, AND MORE

We begin with a graphic In Memory of Dusty Rhodes. We then see the Dusty Rhodes video package.

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Corey Graves, Rich Brennan, and Byron Saxton.

Enzo gives the mic to Carmella and she tells the Sweet Boys start off acting so charming, but you are a couple of cheating pigs. You want to use a chick to do your dirty work? As for you Alexa Bliss, you are about to get disfigured and dismissed. Colin has a word to describe Blake and Murphy and he spells it for everyone . . . but Blake and Murphy’s music interrupts him.

Match Number One: Enzo Amore, Colin Cassady, and Carmella versus Buddy Murphy, Wesley Blake, and Alexa Bliss

Enzo and Blake start things off and they lock up. Blake with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Blake plays with his hair while Enzo waits in his corner. Blake with a waist lock and side head lock. Blake with a shoulder tackle. Enzo with a waist lock into a side head lock. Enzo with a drop toe hold and he walks on Blake’s back. Enzo with a cross body for a near fall.

Colin and Buddy battle while Carmella and Alexa fight. Enzo and Cassady clothesline Blake and Murphy over the top rope to the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Enzo with jabs to Blake followed by a round house. Blake hits Enzo from behind when Murphy distracts him. Blake with kicks in the corner and he tags in Murphy. Murphy with a side head lock to Enzo. Blake tags in and Murphy with a running elbow off Blake’s back and Blake with a side head lock.

Enzo with forearms but Blake with a knee to the midsection. Blake kicks Enzo and chokes him in the corner. Alexa and Buddy with shots to Enzo while the referee was not in position. Murphy tags in and he knocks Cassady off the apron but he misses a splash. Blake is sent to the floor and Carmella is tagged in.

Carmella kicks Alexa and connects with clotheslines and a kick to the head. Murphy is knocked off the apron and Carmella with an O’Connor Roll for a near fall. Blake is tagged in and Colin brings him in. Colin with a boot to Murphy and follows with a side slam to Blake. Enzo tags in and they hit the Rocket Launcher for the three count.

Winners: Enzo Amore, Colin Cassady, and Carmella

We see photos of the Kevin Owens versus John Cena match from Money in the Bank.

Devin Taylor is with Samoa Joe in the interview area. She asks Joe if Kevin Owens is the reason why he is here. Joe says he prided himself on competing on the cutting edge in places that were going to take over. That is NXT. Joe says he does not like Kevin Owens. Kevin makes statements through intimidation. He likes to show what he is capable of if they face him. Intimidation is a tactic of the weak, the cowardly, and a man who does not want to fight.

To the prize fighter tonight, he will make his own statement. He will walk into the ring and beat down Kevin Owens unmercifully.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a video package about Finn Balor, the current Number One Contender.

Finn is asked who is Fergal Devitt. He says Fergal Devitt is a boy from Ireland who grew up in a seaside town with three brothers and a sister. His parents are still married. Becky Lynch says he got his work ethic from his father. Fergal talks about his mother being a housewife and how his father worked from the bottom to the top and it is an inspiring story for him.

He says the WWE would be on television on Saturday mornings and he saw The Ultimate Warrior and the Undertaker. Professional wrestling was a huge part of his childhood. He would say that he wanted to be a wrestler when he was in school. He says that he was the dark sheep to pursue wrestling. Wrestling was something that he had to do. Normal was never going to be good enough. He says he was going to get into wrestling somehow.

Becky says that Fergal was born to do this.

We see footage from Insane Championship Wrestling.

He was focused on being the best technical wrestler so he could go to the gym in Ireland to help build the Irish wrestling scene.

Becky says there would be no Becky Lynch without Fergal. Becky says that Fergal was the person who changed her life. She starts to cry and she says that if he never opened that school, she would never be living her dream right now. He is the reason why she is here. He saved her life and she cannot thank her enough.

Becky says that she lied about her age when she started. She says that she found out there was a school that was going to open in Ireland.

Fergal says that he was not in a position to teach people at his age.

Becky says that he was 20 when he started teaching and he had faith in her.

Fergal says that Becky had it when she walked in the door. She needed to get it out of her. To see where Becky is from where she started, it was amazing.

Becky says that he is the most humble person and you knew he would be a star. She says he was born for this and everyone wanted to be like him.

Fergal says it wasn’t about money, fame, or success. It was about fine tuning the craft of wrestling. He says that the President of New Japan saw one of his matches and he was invited to train in the New Japan Dojo in Tokyo.

He says it was difficult to leave his life and friends behind, but he needed a new challenge. It was something he wanted to do and had to do. He wanted to prove he was good enough.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Two: Charlotte versus KC Cassidy

Charlotte with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Charlotte with a side head lock take down but Cassidy with a side head lock of her own. Charlotte with a head scissors but Cassidy escapes. Charlotte does the Flair strut. Cassidy with a waist lock but Charlotte backs her into the corner. Cassidy with a rollup for a near fall. Cassidy blocks a hip toss and hits a rana followed by a running spin kick into the corner.

Charlotte with a running boot to the head. Charlotte with a knee drop and she gets a near fall. Charlotte chokes Cassidy while talking to the referee. Charlotte with a cravate. Charlotte with knees to the head while she holds on to the cravate. Cassidy with punches to Charlotte and she escapes the cravate. Cassidy with an elbow and cross body for a near fall.

Charlotte with a rollup and bridge for a near fall. Charlotte with chops and a neck breaker and spear. Charlotte kips up and applies the figure four leg lock and she bridges to force Cassidy to tap out.

Winner: Charlotte

Dana Brooke is in the back with Devin Taylor. Dana wants to be addressed as Ms. Understood because at Takeover, she was called a former Fitness Competitor, but she was in Brazil at the Arnold Classic. She says she is back which is perfect for her fans, but not for Charlotte. The last time she faced Charlotte, she left her laying in the middle of the ring. Charlotte is being replaced by the Total Diva. Some people earn their way into NXT while others use their family to get into the door. She tells Charlotte not to misunderstand. She will shove her out of that same door and slam it shut.

Dana leaves and then she comes back and says she really missed doing this . . . and she pats Devin on the top of the head.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Three: Kevin Owens versus Samoa Joe in a Non Title Match

The bell rings and Owens goes to the floor, but Joe is on the floor as well and in Owens’ face. Owens goes back into the ring and so does Joe. They lock up and Joe backs Owens into the corner. Owens pie faces Joe and he tells Joe that he is the champ and the Champ is Here. Joe with jabs to Owens and then he hits a flurry of punches and a chop to the top of the head. Owens pushes Joe away and then he kicks and punches Joe.

Owens with a forearm to the back and he punches Joe. Joe with a running back elbow. Owens with a jawbreaker and he hits a running clothesline into the corner. Joe with a running elbow into the corner followed by an enzuigiri. Joe face washes Owens and he hits a running boot to the face.

Owens goes to the floor and he heads up the ramp.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Owens chokes Joe in the ropes. Owens punches Joe but Joe with an Irish whip. Joe misses an elbow and Owens hits the cannonball. Owens hits a back senton for a near fall. Owens with a reverse chin lock. Joe struggles to get back to his feet while Owens adds more pressure to the chin lock.

Joe with punches but Owens with a back elbow and he gets a near fall. Owens returns to the reverse chin lock. Owens puts his body weight on Joe to try to wear him down. Owens pulls Joe back to the mat when it appears Joe is able to get back to his feet. Joe with elbows and punches. Joe with jabs but Owens with a knee to the midsection. Owens says this is his house but Joe with a reverse atomic drop followed by a running boot and back senton.

Joe with more jabs to Owens and then Joe with a flying Yakuza Kick for a near fall. Joe with a chop in the corner. Joe puts Owens on the turnbuckles to set for the muscle buster but Owens with a head butt to stop him followed by a punch. Owens goes to the apron and then back into the ring and he goes for a charge into the corner but Joe with an STJoe. Owens goes to the floor and Joe follows. Owens sends Joe into the ring post.

Owens calls for the power bomb onto the apron but Joe blocks it. Joe with punches and slaps and the referee has to separate them on the floor when he stops his count. Owens goes after Joe and he hits the referee who gets sandwiched and the referee calls for the bell.

No Contest

After the match, Joe and Owens fight on the ramp and officials come out to separate them. Joe and Owens continue to fight and then they are separated again.

Owens gets into the ring and Joe follows. Joe knocks Owens down and he punches Owens some more.

Security comes out and they try to separate Joe and Owens. We know that is not going to work and Owens with a splash onto Joe and his half of security. Now it is Joe’s turn to go after Owens and his half of security. We have a scrum and then Owens finally gets out of the ring with his title belt.

We go to credits.
