The title was vacated on December 30, when Jerry Lawler, who held the title with Austin Idol, lost a Loser Leaves Town match to Bill Dundee.
1989 - In the third of six title changes between these two men over 13 months, Chris Benoit defeats Johnny Smith to win his third Stampede British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Title, ending Smith's third reign.
1990 - The WWF holds an event at the Boston Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The results were:

1990 - Chris Chavis, best known as Tatanka in the WWF/E, wrestles his debut match against Joe Thunderstorm for Larry Sharpe's World Wrestling Alliance in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Chavis was trained by Sharpe at his Monster Factory wrestling school in New Jersey.
1990 - Manny Fernandez defeats Invader I to win the WWC Puerto Rico Heavyweight Title in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, ending Invader I's sixth reign.
1991 - Super Archie defeat Rodolfo Ruiz for the UWA World Featherweight Title in Mexico City, Mexico.
1993 - WCW holds its 22nd Clash of the Champions event at the MECCA Arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The show aired live on TBS, earning a 2.9 rating. It was the last Clash event for Jim Ross, as he would leave shortly after for the WWF. The results were:

1997 - WCW Monday Nitro's 3.4 rating beats WWF Monday Night RAW's 2.3 rating in this week of the Monday Night War.
WCW Monday Nitro was live from the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The results:
- Chavo Guerrero, Jr. defeated Mr. JL.
- Jim Duggan and Super Calo fought to a no contest, when Sting attacked Duggan before the match.

- The Undertake defeated Crush (with The Nation of Domination) by disqualification, after the Nation and Vader interfered after Undertaker had chokeslammed Crush. Ahmed Johnson attempted tp made the save, 2x4 in hand, before being hit in the back with it by Faarooq in the end.
1998 - Doug Gilbert last eliminates Keisuke Yamada in a 15-man deathmatch battle royal, to win the vacant IWA Japan World Heavyweight Title in Tokyo, Japan. The title had been vacant since October 26, 1996 when then-champion Tarzan Goto left the promotion.
2000 - Hiroyo Muto defeats KAZUKI and Ran Maru in a three-way match for the vacant JDStar Junior Title in Tokyo, Japan.
2001 - ECW holds an event at the Pine Bluff Convention Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, which would be its last before the company declared bankruptcy on April 4th of the same year. The results were:
- Nova pinned The Prodigy (with Stan Lee) after reversing a front suplex into the Nova Blast.
- Joey Matthews and Christian York defeats Hot Commodity (Julio Dinero and EZ Money), when Matthews pinned Dinero after the Future Shock from him and York.
- Super Crazy pinned Yoshihiro Tajiri after reversing a hurricanrana into a cradle.
- ECW World Tag Team Champions Danny Doring and Tommy Dreamer (subbing for Roadkill) defeated The Full-Blooded Italians (Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke), when Doring pinned Mamaluke after he and Dreamer hit the Buggy Bang, to retain the title.
- Jack Victory pinned C.W. Anderson (with Lou E. Dangerously) in a Street Fight, after Spike Dudley interfered and hit Anderson with the Dudley Dog, then pulled Victory on top, and sat on top of Victory, for the cover.
- Michael Shane pinned Stan Lee after faceplanting Lee from the top rope.
- ECW World Heavyweight and Television Champion Rhino pinned Spike Dudley, after a piledriver on a chair, to retain the Heavyweight title.
- Justin Credible (with Francine) came out to face The Sandman. Credible challenged Sandman to a wrestling match instead of a hardcore match, prior. Sandman accepted, on the terms that Justin "owed him one". Credible pinned Sandman, after while Sandman had Credible up for a suplex from the apron, Francine grabbed Sandman's leg, causing him to fall with Credible on top for the pin.
- Since Justin owed Sandman a match, he then left to get a container of weapons for "his kind of match". The Sandman pinned Justin Credible in a hardcore match, after a piledriver onto the metal backing of an air conditioner. The fans littered the ring with bottles and cups targeting Credible after his loss, with Atlas Security going into the crowd to stop it. Justin and Sandman hugged in the ring after the match.
- The entire locker room then came to the ring. Tommy Dreamer got on the mic and thanked the fans for their support, with The Sandman adding "This Bud's for you", to close the show with the wrestlers sharing beer in the ring.
2001 - Steve Bradley defeats Spellbinder for the Power Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title in Corinth, Mississippi, beginning his fourth reign. He also unified his Music City Wrestling Southern Heavyweight Title, which he wont from K-Krush (Ron Killings) on November 3 in Manila, Arkansas. At the same event, The Dupps (Bo and Jack Dupp) win their second MCW Southern Tag Team Title from American Dragon and Spanky.
2001 - Gregory Martin defeats Qenaan Creed to win the Maryland Championship Wrestling Cruiserweight Title in Laurel, Delaware.
2001 - Three Independent Pro Wrestling titles change hands in St. Petersburg, Florida. Scoot Andrews ends Jet Jaguar's fourth IPW Cruiserweight Title reign, Mike Shane defeats The Dog in a tournament final to become the first IPW Television Champion, and The Southern Posse defeat Drunk and Disorderly, The Chaotic Cult and The Snack Pack in a four-way hardcore battle royal for the vacant IPW Tag Team Title.
2002 - Moondog Manson wins his fifth ECCW Hardcore Title, defeating Wrathchild in Cloverdale, British Columbia.
2002 - MARU defeats Emi Tojyo in a tournament final for the vacant JDStar Junior Title in Tokyo, Japan.
2003 - WWE RAW marks its tenth anniversary with an edition live from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. They also taped the coming weekend's Sunday Night Heat, which was only shown internationally due to the Royal Rumble being on that coming Sunday. The event's results:
- Sean O'Haire defeated Brian Henderson in a dark match.

- WWE World Tag Team Champion William Regal defeated Jerry Lawler by disqualification when Lawler hit Regal with a steel chain.

- Stevie Lynn defeated Ollie Burns, Darkside, Joey Hayes, Harry Mills and Mark Sloan in a six-way elimination scramble match.
- Cheerleader Melissa defeated Skye.
- Davey Richards defeated El Ligero.
- In a three-way elimination match, The Damned Nation (Dragon Aisu & Majik) defeated 1PW World Tag Team Champions Team SHAG-IT (Darren Burridge & Mad Man Manson) and Jody Fleisch & Jonny Storm to win the title.
- Team Supreme (Dave Moralez and Jack Storm) defeated Team Dormanstown (Kid Richie and Chris Whitton) in a first-round match in a tournament for the vacant Real Quality Wrestling Tag Team Title.

2008 - WWE Smackdown and ECW ran Little Rock, Arkansas. Christy filed the following live report:
The top section of the Alltel arena was tarped off but the remaining seats were mostly full, just a few blank patches here and there in the stands.
Teddy Long started the show with his "Vickie isn't here, so I'm in charge" bit and then ran down the matches.
The matches may not be in order because I didn't write them down, but this is what I remember:
Jamie Noble beat Deuce to qualify, again, for the Royal Rumble.
Shelton Benjamin beat Tommy Dreamer to qualify for the Royal Rumble (maybe).
Kofi Kingston defeated Elijah Burke, which made the crowd happy even though Elijah had his fans.
Morrison & Miz beat Yang and Moore to retain the Tag Titles.
Finlay beat MVP by DQ and then danced in the ring with Hornswaggle, which got one of the biggest pops of the night.
Kane & The Undertaker beat Big Daddy V (lovingly referred to by someone near me as Big Daddy Boob) & Mark Henry.
CM Punk defeated Chavo Guerrero to retain the ECW Title.
Kelly Kelly & Michelle McCool beat Nattie Neidhart and Layla. I popped because Nattie's hair made it look like she walked out of a Vixen video, and as far as I'm concerned, that's always good.
Edge beat Rey Mysterio via nefarious means that I didn't see but someone told me had something to do with a chair and the Edgeheads.

No one was really booed out of the building much that was notable. Chavo seemed to get the most of that. Edge would have if he hadn't had a loyal following smattered throughout.
All in all a good show, and very educational due to the 10 or so people around me who debated the location of various stars who weren't there. They quickly decided that Lillian Garcia was in WCW now, and that must be where King Booker went too. Yeah, I scratched my head. One guy knew Kane's real name, but honestly thought that Batista wasn't there because he must have gone to WCW with Bradshaw. I guess Monday Night RAW is WCW now?
2010 - Former WWE Women's champ Victoria (Lisa Marie Varon) announced at a Smackdown taping that she had finished with WWE following a loss to Michelle McCool in a bout that would air several days later and would be retiring. PWInsider.com first reported in December 2009 that word was going around that she had given notice at the Survivor Series PPV that she would be departing.
Victoria has been with the company since 2002 after going through WWE then-developmental companies Memphis and Ohio Valley Wrestling. After making a cameo appearance as a Godfather Ho that later was involved in a vignette with Eddie Guerrero during his run as Chyna's love interest, Victoria was introduced as a full fledged character to feud with then top Diva Trish Stratus.
The back story at the time was that Victoria she felt Stratus had betrayed her back when both were fitness models and she had come for revenge. Both were fitness models and probably did cross paths during competitions prior to become wrestlers. Victoria broke into the business, originally training at Rick Bassman's UPW school in California.
Victoria has had a long run with the company where she was linked on-air with different partners, including Molly Holly, Stevie Richards, Kenny Dykstra and most recently Natalya Neidhart. She and Neidhart had been feuding with the Bella Twins on Smackdown in a storyline designed to introduce the Twins to viewers. Despite being a ring general, Victoria's role in recent years has more or less been to be the older veteran who worked with younger, greener babyface talent that were getting pushed.
Victoria was the last of the Divas who rebuilt the WWE Women's division in the early part of the decade into something was more than a T&A diversion as Ivory, Stratus, Molly Holly, Jazz and Lita have pretty much retired from the business in recent years, being replaced by a generation of talent mostly cultivated by the company's Diva Search era (although there are exceptions to that rule, such as Mickie James and Neidhart).
Victoria had two runs with the WWE Women's championship, defeating Stratus in a Hardcore Match in New York City at the 2002 Survivor Series before dropping the belt back to Stratus at Wrestlemania XIX in Seattle in March 2003. Victoria regained the belt in February 2004, winning a Four Way match against Lita, Holly and Jazz. She held the title for four months before dropping it during another Four Way at the 20054 Bad Blood PPV, with Stratus again regaining it.
Victoria has been very involved in opening outside projects in the Louisville area where she lives, including most recently a custom body shop for cars and previously a pizzeria named after her Uncle.
As it turned out, she would later return to the ring under the ring name Tara for TNA and also flirt with the idea of competing in MMA.
2010 - WWE released Sgt. Slaughter and Ron Simmons. Slaughter had been working as a Producer and Simmons had been doing promotional work and making sporadic TV appearances.
2010 - WWE released "The Best of WCW Starrcade" on DVD.
2010 - Lanny Kean, who wrestled professionally as Cousin Junior for the WWF and Moondog Cujo for the USWA, among other monikers, passed away. Kean had taken his girlfriend to the hospital in Kentucky and was later found outside in his truck unconscious. The belief is that Kean had suffered a heart attack while sitting outside in the truck. Kean was only 48 years old.
2011 - WWE broadcast WWE Superstars. Richard Trionfo filed the following TV report:
We start off this week’s show with the Smackdown brand and your announcers are Jack Korpela and Matt Striker.
Match Number One: Chris Masters and JTG versus Chavo Guerrero and Curt Hawkins
Masters and Chavo start things off and they lock up with Chavo applying a side head lock. Masters with a shoulder tackle and Chavo goes into the ropes to stop Masters. Chavo and Curt talk strategy before Chavo locks up again and Masters backs Chavo into the corner. Chavo with a kick and punches but Masters with a slam for a near fall. Masters works on the arm and tags in JTG. JTG with an elbow from the turnbuckles and then he returns to the arm and snap mares Chavo and kicks him in the arm before getting a near fall. Chavo with a knee and forearm followed by a snap mare and kick.
Hawkins tags in but JTG with a drop toe hold into a front face lock. Masters tags in and he kicks Hawkins in the ribs before applying the side head lock. Masters with a shoulder tackle and then he tries for the Master Lock but Hawkins uses deception from Chavo to get out of the hold. Hawkins hits Masters from behind and Chavo tags in and he kicks Masters until the referee warns him.
Masters with a chop but Chavo with a kick and he sends Masters into the corner for Hawkins and he tags in. Hawkins with a snap mare and kick to the back as puts Masters in a reverse chin lock. Hawkins with a knee and he runs Masters into the corner. Chavo tags back in and he punches Masters followed by a Latino uppercut. Hawkins tags back in and he snap mares Masters and returns to the reverse chin lock.
JTG tags in and he punches Curt and hits a shoulder tackle and a running boot to the head for a near fall. Hawkins with an Irish whip but he runs into a boot. Chavo distracts JTG and that allows Hawkins to pull him off the apron and then he kicks JTG to the floor as we go to commercial.
We are back and Chavo has JTG in an arm bar with a chin lock. Hawkins kicks JTG in the head when Chavo talks to the referee. Chavo with an Irish whip but JTG with an elbow to Chavo and a punch to Hawkins on the apron. Chavo brings JTG back into the corner and Hawkins is tagged back in and he kicks JTG. JTG with punches to Hawkins but Curt with a drop toe hold and he drops an elbow to the back for a near fall as he continues to keep JTG from tagging in Chris Masters. Hawkins sends JTG into Chavo’s boot and Chavo is tagged back in and he kicks JTG before putting JTG in a rear chin lock.
JTG with a belly-to-back suplex after a forearm to the back and both men are down. Hawkins makes the tag while JTG is unable to do so. Curt with kicks and he gets a near fall. Hawkins chokes JTG in the ropes and then he chokes him with his boot. Hawkins with a suplex for a near fall. Hawkins with a front face lock. Hawkins kicks Masters’ hand away when he tried for a tag but JTG with a flapjack and both men are down.
Masters and Chavo tag in and Masters with chops and a clothesline followed by a back elbow. Chavo with a kick to the chest but Masters with a spinebuster and he signals for the Master Lock. Chavo with an elbow and kick to the knee and chest. Chavo knocks JTG off the apron. Masters locks in the Master Lock and when Hawkins tries to interfere Masters back body drops Hawkins. Chavo eventually taps out.

They lock up and Alicia works on the arm and wrist. Gail rolls through and kicks Alicia away. They lock up again and Alicia backs Gail into the corner and Alicia with a clean break but it was a ruse when she tries to go after Gail in the corner but Gail escapes Alicia’s attempts at offense. Alicia with a side head lock take down but Gail with a head scissors and arm drag and Gail gets a near fall.
Gail with forearms to Alicia but Alicia with an Irish whip. Gail tries to float over but Alicia catches her and then kicks Gail in the ribs. Alicia stands over Gail and taunts her before standing on Gail’s head and stomping on the midsection. Alicia with a gut buster and she gets a near fall. Alicia tries for a seated abdominal stretch but turns it into a knee to the back. Alicia with an abdominal stretch on Gail. Gail counters with a lateral press for a near fall. Alicia with a shot to the midsection followed by a punch to the head. Gail with a clothesline and both women are down. Gail with kicks to Alicia’s ribs. Gail follows it with the running cross body into the corner. Gail goes up top for a missile drop kick and she gets a near fall. Alicia runs Gail into the turnbuckles but Gail hits Eat Defeat for the three count.

Match Number Three: Yoshi Tatsu, Primo, David Hart Smith, and Darren Young versus The Usos, Zack Ryder, and William Regal
Regal and Primo start things off and Regal with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Regal with an arm wringer but Primo with a monkey flip and drop kick. Jimmy Uso tags in and Primo with a kick and side head lock and Jimmy with a flying forearm followed by a slam. Jimmy misses an elbow drop and Primo with an arm drag. Yoshi is tagged in and he hits a chop from the turnbuckles followed by more chops. Yoshi with a Japanese arm drag for a near fall.
Yoshi works on the arm and Young tags in and he kicks Jimmy and hits a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Jimmy with a kick to Young and he tags in Ryder. Young with a knee to Ryder and Smith tags in and he kicks Ryder. Smith with European uppercuts to Ryder as he works on the shoulder and takes Ryder to the mat. Ryder with knees to Smith in the corner and Regal is tagged back in.
Regal and Smith exchange European uppercuts with Smith gaining control. Ryder is tagged in as Regal brings Smith into the corner. Smith with a clothesline to Ryder followed by a power bomb. Smith decides to go for the delayed vertical suplex and he gets Ryder in the air for about twenty seconds and gets a near fall. Smith with an arm bar. Smith with an Irish whip but he misses the charge into the corner. Jimmy Uso tags in and he punches Smith and gets a near fall. Jey Uso tags in and he connects with some head butts. Ryder tags back in and he pie faces Smith.
Smith with a jackhammer and he knocks his opponents off the apron. Smith sets for a running power slam but Smith is tripped from the floor. Ryder kicks Smith and starts to work on the knee as we go to commercial.
We are back and Jey Uso is working on the leg. Uso with an Irish whip and he misses a splash into the corner. Smith with a kick and he tags Young into the match. Young with an elbow when Smith Irish whips Uso towards him. Young with an elbow drop for a near fall. Young with a forearm to the back. Young with a flying shoulder tackle for a near fall. Uso charges at Young but Young ducks down and Jey goes over the top rope to the floor. Jey knocks Young down and gets a near fall.
Regal tags in and he connects with a running back elbow and gets a near fall. Regal with kicks to the head. Regal distracts the referee and his partners work over Young. Regal with knees and uppercuts. Ryder with a kick to Young from the apron. Ryder tags back in and he punches Young and connects with forearms. Ryder sends Young into the corner and continues with the attack. Ryder with a running boot to the head and then he gets a near fall. Young with a flying mare and both men are down. Ryder grabs the leg but Young with an enzuigiri and he tags in Primo.
Primo with punches and a flying back elbow. Primo with a clothesline and drop kick. He knocks his opponents off the apron and then he takes Zack down with a leg sweep. Primo with a tornado DDT for a near fall.
All eight men are in the ring for a moment and Yoshi is tagged in and he kicks Ryder in the head and gets the three count.

The show opens with a video looking back at Genesis as Jeff Jarrett beat Kurt Angle bloody, and we get comments from Angle saying that the whole thing was a setup and while he didn't win at Bound For Glory, he didn't exactly lose either so he's going to let the powers that be do their thing. We then look at Ken Anderson beating Matt Morgan and then getting thrown right into a title match with Jeff Hardy that he won thanks to the help of Matt Morgan, who now wants the first title shot. Anderson says that the belt Hardy had wasn't the World Title, it's just a piece of crap that Hardy drew.
We go to the garage as, earlier today, Jeff Jarrett shows up with Karen Ang- I mean, Jarrett as they get out of a limo, share a kiss, and head into the building.
We then go to the Impact Zone where new TNA World Champion Ken Anderson comes out to address the fans for the first time as champion. He says he spent six and a half years busting his ass and living rough to secure a job with a major wrestling company, and he did...over there. He had a rocket ship up his ass and beat ten World Champions in a short time and was destined to be a champion himself, but then a birdie got in the boss' head and he said (in a Triple H voice) that Ken may be a little too funny and not ready for the big time. He says that everything he does, he was told not to do. He was told how to walk, act, and dress, but then we fast forward to a phone call from Eric Bischoff, who says that he knows what he went through, the potential he has, and if he came to TNA he would take the training wheels off and let him be himself, and Hogan, Bischoff, Dixie, and Vince Russo allowed him to be the asshole he is today. (asshole chant starts) And by the way, this asshole just became the World Champion, and he's not saying he could have done it without the fans, but he does want to thank those assholes. There's also one more asshole he'd like to thank, and he invites Matt Morgan down to the ring. Morgan comes out to join him and Anderson says they haven't always seen eye to eye, but he stepped up for him when it meant the most, and for that he thanks Morgan. Morgan responds by saying that the only reason he's wearing that title around his waist right now is because he let himself down at Genesis, and he hasn't been able to eat or sleep for the last week trying to figure out when he's going to get his next title shot. He respects Anderson for getting the title, but Anderson has to respect that Morgan is a straight shooter too, and it doesn't matter who has the title, he's going to become the champion because he's spent the last ten years busting his ass to go down as the best giant of all time in this business. He doesn't have that without that title, so right now he wants Anderson to know that he's coming for that title and 2011 will be the year of the blueprint. But this isn't about Morgan, this is Anderson's night and these are his assholes, and he wants Anderson to know that he earned every ounce of that title, and then shakes Anderson's hand and leaves. Eric Bischoff's music hits and asks Anderson who he thinks he is for rewriting history, and he was only right about one thing: he's only here because of Bischoff, Hogan, and Flair, and the only thing he accomplished was putting a bullseye on his back, and if he thinks they're going to put up with him as World Champion, they're sadly mistaken because on February 3rd on the live Impact, he's going to face Jeff Hardy in a rematch, and Hulk Hogan's going to get out from under his legal entanglement with Dixie Carter and Anderson can go back to being a nobody. Anderson backs Bischoff into a corner and asks if he's trying to intimidate him, but Jeff Hardy comes up on screen and says that Anderson didn't win anything and he only has the title as a result of a mistake by the family, and the title will be his again on the live Impact. Rob Van Dam comes running into the stage and attacks Jeff Hardy, but Matt Hardy runs in and attacks Van Dam. Anderson runs to the back to try and make the save, but now the entire group of Immortal and Fortune comes in and beats Anderson and Van Dam 352-on-2.
We go to commercial, and when we get back we take a look at moments ago when that brawl broke out backstage, and as a result of that fight, the Hardys will reunite as a team for the first time in three years as they take on Ken Anderson and Rob Van Dam. Also, Kurt Angle will be here tonight and we get to see the fun when he finds out Karen is here.
We go backstage where Jeff Jarrett asks Karen if she's ready for this, and she says she's been sitting at home for two years waiting for this moment, and she's ready for it.
Time for our opening match...
TNA World Tag Team Title Match: Beer Money vs Motor City Machine Guns
A backstage crew catches up with the Guns before the match and I didn't catch the whole thing, but Shelley made some comment about getting kicked in the face at Genesis that Sabin didn't quite seem to hear. The match starts and they start brawling right from the start with the Guns getting the advantage hitting synchronized double team moves and them sending Beer Money to the floor where they hit stereo dives as Mike Tenay informs us that this is the first of four straight weeks of rematches from Genesis. They head back in where Storm catches Sabin with a running knee and then tags out to Roode for some more punishment. Roode unloads with some chops in the corner on Sabin and then whips him hard across the ring, then he and Stormn hit a pair of running kneedrops to Sabin and Roode covers for 2. Storm tags in and goes to a chinlock, but Sabin escapes and comes off the ropes where Storm and Sabin wipe each other out with dual crossbody blocks. Both men make the tag and Shelley comes in and cleans house on Beer Money by himself, hitting a combination bulldog/running clothesline that takes out both men. Shelley goes up top and hits a double stomp on Roode for 2 and then the Guns stand both of Beer Money up in the corner and take turns charging in and nailing them, then they toss Storm to the floor and hit Skull & Bones on Roode, but Storm breaks the cover and then puts Sabin on the second floor and spikes him with a DDT. Shelley puts Roode up to the top rope and goes for a superplex, but Storm nails him and goes for the Eye Of The Storm, and Shelley escapes but Storom hits an F5 followed by a Roode splash for a close 2. They go for the DWI but Shelley escapes and sends Storm to the floor and then hit a missile dropkick/Flatliner on Roode and then Shelley goes for a superkick on Storm, but Storm ducks and Shelley accidentally knocks Sabin out instead, allowing Beer Money to hit the DWI for the win.
Winners: Beer Money
Not quite as good as the matches they had last year, but still good stuff.
Jeff Jarrett is backstage and visibly nervous about what's going to happen tonight, and then we go out to the garage where Kurt Angle is arriving at the Impact Zone.
Rob Van Dam is backstage complaining to Ken Anderson that he had his hands on Jeff Hardy and he got away, and they say they need to end this and they can do that by fighting all of Immortal one by one. Van Dam agrees, and Anderson says they're going to need some tools. They root around in a pile of junk backstage, and Anderson comes up with a chair that he hands to Van Dam and then grabs himself a 2x4 and they go off to hunt some Immortal.
We head back to the ring for promo time with the Pope, and he says he's out here to address some things over the last several weeks that involve Samoa Joe monitoring Pope while he attended to the business of the Congregation. Pope was making a difference, and he insists that he's the Pope they follow and should continue to follow, and even with what Joe did, Pope forgives him, but he wants to know is whether Joe would be as forgiving if Pope was following Joe around on his own time? What if Pope was following Joe and his wife around? Because he was, and he's going to show some footage of Joe and his wife now, and he directs our attention to the Dixietron where we see two pigs having relations (I guess that's supposed to be Joe and his wife), and then also has footage of Joe's wife attending to his children (pigs milking on their pig mother), and this footage motivates Joe to come out to the ring to have a word with Pope. Pope bails out of the ring as Joe enters, and he says that Pope's got jokes, but the funny thing is that for a guy who says he's pimpin', he sure does run like a bitch and Joe doesn't chase bitches. This lends credence to what Joe's always said about him: he's a phony, fraud, and pretender, and instead of chasing him around the arena and giving him the beating he deserves, he's going to leave Pope with a promise: at some point when Pope least expects it, he's going to get his hands on Pope, and when that happens, Joe is gonna kill you. Pope looks scared, then unconcerned as he backs up the rampway and pretends he's not scared of Joe.
We go backstage to Van Dam and Anderson as they catch up with Beer Money in the Immortal locker room and close the door behind them before beating them down with their implements of destruction. They come out afterwards and thank them, then go looking for the Hardys.
We go back to Eric Bischoff's office as Bischoff is telling Ric Flair and AJ Styles that Hogan is not happy about Anderson getting the title, and AJ offers to soften him up but Flair says that he wants Styles to heal because they need AJ at full strength. They go into the next room and find a beaten up Beer Money, who inform Bischoff that Van Dam and Anderson did this. Flair says that if it's a war they want, it's a war they're going to get.
We look at a video package looking back at the history of the bad blood between Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle, and then we go to comments from moments ago where Jarrett said nobody was supposed to get hurt at Genesis, but Kurt took it too far and Angle ended up getting hurt. The invisible interviewer asks what's going to happen tonight, and Jarrett says he's going to go out there nd hang up his MMA boots and he's going to do it the only way he would want to: with his beautiful wife standing beside him. He just asks her not to lose her temper, to which she says no problem because she's cool as a cucumber.
We also get comments from Kurt Angle, who says he hears his ex-wife is here and that they have some catching up to do.
We head back out to the ring as Jeff Jarrett and Karen Angle make their way to the ring for Jarrett's retirement ceremony. Jarrett says that they're here to celebrate the career of an undefeated MMA fighter, one who has never been taken down or come close to submitting in any of his fights. He made an example of Kurt Angle at Genesis even though it was only an exhibition, but he chose not to injure Angle even though he could have. Behind every great warrior, fierce competitor, hellbent mercenary, and man of war, there's always a great woman, and he introduces his wife, the lovely and vivacious Mrs Karen Jarrett. Wait a minute, that's Kurt Angle's music! Angle comes out and Team Jarrett goes after him and he goes through all of them on his way down the ramp before getting in the ring and suplexing Gunner and Muffin out of their boots and then standing face to face with Jarrett. Jarrett gets ready to fight him when Karen Angle comes out and shrieks at them to stop, she has sat at home for two years while they've played games with their lives, but next week, everyone will hear her give her side of the story and it'll be a night that Kurt Angle will never forget.
We go to commercial, and when we come back we take a look at the confrontation we just saw, then go to Angle in the back as he trashes the backstage area and says a bunch of stuff that gets bleeped out. The only words I caught that got through were "don't need this", "career", and "Dixie".
We take a look back at Genesis when Madison Rayne knocked Mickie James out with a foreign object, and then we see Angelina Love & Velvet Sky arguing about Winter, and Angelina says even she can't explain what's going on when Winter grabs her and drags her out to the ring for our next match...
Knockouts Tag Team Title Match: Winter & Angelina Love vs Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne & Tara
Tara's still wearing the elbow brace here, but stays out on the apron as Angelina and Madison start us off and Angelina gets a couple of quick rollups that get her some 2 counts, then Angelina gets an inverted bulldog and a spinkick. Madison goes and complains about something to referee Jackson Jablonski as Tara yanks Angelina down by the hair from the outside. Winer tries to get in the ring and Jackson escorts her out of the ring as Mickie James comes out and drags Madison to the floor and chases her to the back, leaving Tara alone with both champions. Angelina ducks a clothesline and hits the Botox Injection, then tags Winter, and Winter comes off the top rope with a missile dropkick and traps her in a rear choke with a little bit of Camel Clutch thrown in and the referee stops the match when Tara passes out.
Winners: Winter & Angelina Love
Angelina looks totally taken aback by what she just saw Winter do, but just takes her belt and gets her hand raised in a smile and nod moment.
We go backstage to Matt Hardy, who says that this business is about stepping on people and taking what you want, and Jeff says that they're brothers and they're a couple of thieves who are walking around with a belt that has his face on it. Hardy says that what they don't realize is that they're brothers and their bloodline is Immortal.
TV Champion Abyss vs Matt Morgan
This match is non-title. They start fighting the second Morgan gets in the ring and Morgan lays Abyss out with a clothesline and then hit the rapid fire elbows in the corner. Morgan continues stomping Abyss out in the corner and sets up for the Carbon Footprint, but Flair grabs Morgan's ankle from the floor and Abyss hits him with a running charge into the corner. Morgan tries a charge but Abyss puts him down with a big clothesline and then chokes him on the ropes. Flair gets in a cheapshot from the floor and Abyss tries a charge but Morgan hits a discus clothesline, Stinger Splash in the corner, then another one, and Abyss goozles him and tries a chokeslam but Morgan fights his way out and hits the Carbon Footprint. Ric Flair tries to drag Earl Hebner out of the ring so he can't make the count, but Hebner kicks him off and makes the count.
Winner: Matt Morgan
Rob Terry runs in and brawls with Morgan until Flair low blows Morgan and the Immortal members beat him down.
During the break, someone I didn't recognize got ahold of Abyss backstage and choked him with a cord and told him to tell Bischoff that he was right and THEY are coming on February 3rd. We go out to Mike Tenay and Taz, who inform us that it was Amazing Red's brother who we met a few weeks ago, and that his name is apparently Crimson, but who does he work for?
We go to the Immortal locker room as Abyss walks in on a pep talk and tells Eric Bischoff that he needs to tell him something, and Bischoff says not now because he's delivereing a speech. Abyss obediently goes and stands in a corner and Bischoff finishes the usual speech and then, after everyone leaves, Abyss tells Bischoff and Flair what just happened, but Bischoff and Flair don't seem worried.
Main event time!
TNA World Champion Ken Anderson & Rob Van Dam vs Matt & Jeff Hardy
Anderson and RVD jump the Hardys on the ramp and they brawl down to ringside with Anderson pairing off with Jeff and RVD fighting Matt. RVD tosses Matt into the ring and beats him up in the corner and lays him out with spinkicks. Anderson comes in and stomps Matt down as well, then the referee manages to get them back to their corner while Matt gets his coat off and confers with Jeff. Matt with a kick to the gut and sends RVD to the corner where he lays in some rights, but RVD recovers and sends Matt across the ring and hits a monkey flip. Anderson tags in and whips Matt hard across the ring and follows in with a clothesline and Matt flops out of the corner and Anderson covers for 2. Matt catches Anderson with a back elbow and tags in Jeff, who drills punches into the open wound on Anderson's head that is leaking blood at this point. Van Dam makes a blind tag and comes right after Jeff, but Jeff tags out to Matt and bails to the floor and Matt comes in and hits an inverted neckbreaker and then hits a moonsault that RVD dodges and then hits a split-legged moonsault right on Matt's face. Matt rolls out to the floor and RVD hits a dive to wipe both Hardys out as we go to commercial.
We're back and RVD is STILL beating Matt Hardy up, tries to grab at Jeff, then goes back to beating Matt up. RVD goes to the second rope, but Matt grabs his ankle and yanks him out into the middle of the ring and covers for 2. NOW Jeff tags in and beats RVD down and puts the boots to him, then hits a sitout gourdbuster for 2. The Hardys double team RVD in the corner and Matt tags in and hits the Side Effect for 2. Matt goes for what appeared to be an attempted at a bridging gutwrench, but couldn't quite manage the bridge and just rolled over until RVD went to his back for a 2 count, but RVD got out and high kicked Matt in the face and made the hot tag to Anderson, who comes in and hits Jeff with a spinning neckbreaker for 2, then hits the Mic Check and covers but Matt breaks the fall. Matt goes for the Twist Of Hate and gets shoved off into the ref, who gets knocked to the floor. Anderson hits the Mic Check on Matt as RVD beats Jeff down in the corner, but Beer Money runs in and tosses RVD to the floor then gives Anderson a catapult/DDT. Storm goes to the floor and superkicks RVD, and the referee makes it back into the ring as Matt hits the Twist Of Hate and then Jeff Hardy goes up top and hits the Swanton for the win.
Winners: Matt & Jeff Hardy
RVD crawls back into the ring and tries to go after Jeff, but Matt and Beer Money cut him off and attack him as Jeff dangles the TNA World Title belt at RVD. The entire Immortal group comes into the ring and again beat Anderson and RVD down 793-on-2 as Eric Bischoff stands approvingly at the top of the rampway. Immortal all pose in the middle of the ring with Jeff still in possession of the belt as we fade to black.
2012 - Harry Smith was crowned the first Resistance Pro champion in Chicago, IL, defeating The Sheik and Kevin Steen in a Three Way match.

The PPV opened with a good video feature on the three way main event. The announcers welcomed us to the show and previewed the main event.
TNA Tag Team champions Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez vs. Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan
Big chant for Chavo as he and Ryan locked up. Ryan backed Guerrero up into a corner and backed off, mocking Guerrero, who unloaded on him. Hernandez grabbed him in a bear hug and nailed and overhead release suplex. He slammed Ryan and Guerrero nailed a slingshot back splash into the ring. The champs hit a nice sequence of moves for a two count.
Guerrero drilled Ryan with a hard dropkick but missed a second one when Ryan held onto the ropes. He nailed a slingshot into his own corner, allowing Morgan to drill Guerrero as he was sent in. Morgan and Ryan tagged in and out, working over Guerrero.
Hernandez made the tag in and nailed Ryan with a slingshot shoulderblock. Morgan tagged in and he and Hernandez went back and forth. Morgan got the better of the exchange and tagged in Ryan, who spent too much time playing to the crowd for Morgan's liking. Hernandez nearly fought back enough to tag out but was pulled back to the challengers' corner.
Ryan and Morgan tagged in and out working over Hernandez. Hernandez tried to fight his way out but was killed with a discus clothesline. Hernandez tried to fight himself out but Morgan tagged himself in and continued the assault, whipping him hard into the corner. Morgan demanded Ryan follow suit and tagged him back in.
Guerrero tried to help his partner but the referee held him back. Morgan and Ryan worked over Guerrero but the referee realized Morgan, who was not the legal man in the ring, had switched with his partner. Hernandez was held by Morgan for Ryan to beat with a series of right hands. He covered Hernandez for a two count and cinched in a chinlock. The crowd rallied Hernandez, who fought to his feet and nailed a twirling backbreaker on Ryan.
Hernandez made the hot tag to Guerrero, who nailed a sunset flip into the ring, then a dropkick and a forward fiip on Ryan. Guerrero then nailed a twisting head scissors out of the corner. He nailed the Three Amigos. He went to the top for a frog splash but Morgan stepped into the way.
Hernandez hit the scene but Morgan went for a double chokeslam on them. They escaped and nailed a double dropkick, sending him out of the ring. Hernandez nailed a NASTY looking powerbomb on Ryan and Guerrero hit the top rope frog splash for the win.
Your winners, TNA Tag Team champions Hernandez and Guerrero!
After the match, Morgan just looked down in disgust at Ryan.
OK opener.
Backstage, Jeremy Borash interviewed Mr. Anderson. Borash asked him his stance on Aces & Eights. Anderson mocked him and said, "you guys are so kliq-y around here" and told Borash to grow up. He said that as far as Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle were concerned, Angle called him out to fight and he was ready to fight. He said that Angle decided to roll around with Aces & Eights. He said if Joe wants to blame Anderson for Kurt Angle's demise, thanks. He warned Joe that the same thing was going to happen to Angle will just happen to him.
Mr. Anderson vs. Samoa Joe
They faced off in the center of the ring. Joe smacked Anderson's hat off his head. Joe shoved him after they jawjacked back and forth. Anderson took his shirt off, threw it at Joe and nailed him. Joe fought him back and stomped the hell out of him.
Joe whipped Anderson into the corner and then nailed him with an enziguiri to the head. Joe smashed Anderson into the corner. Joe snapmared Anderson, then drilled him with kicks and chops. He covered Anderson for a two count.
Anderson tried to slug it out with Joe and found out that wasn't the best idea. He was run off to the floor, where Joe chopped him hard on the floor. They battled around the ringside area, with Joe maintaining control. Anderson nailed Joe after Joe rolled in and out of the ring to break the referee's count, allowing Anderson to gain control ever so briefly.
Anderson was chopped down to the floor, but sent Joe into the ring steps. Joe was slammed into the ring steps and then slammed back-first into the apron. Anderson covered him for a two count. Anderson locked in a chinlock, trying to wear Joe down even more. Joe nailed a series of elbows but was caught with a neckbreaker for a two count.
Anderson nailed a series of right hands but Anderson went right after Joe's knee, which showed signs of damage from hitting the stairs earlier. Anderson nailed Joe with a series of rights and chops in the corner. He went back to working over the knee, trying to tie it up in the ropes. Joe shoved Anderson off, but was still caught with a dropkick to the knee for a near fall.
Anderson placed Joe's leg on the rope and leapt down on it, softening the knee up. He went to do it again but Joe used his other foot to shove Anderson over the top to the floor as Anderson leapt up. Joe hit a tope into a forearm smash to the floor on Anderson.
Back in the ring, Joe scored a near fall. Anderson fought back but was caught in a snap powerslam. Joe placed Anderson on the top for the muscle buster when the artist formerly known as Mike Knox. Joe saw Knox and shoved Anderson to the mat. Joe turned to Anderson and was caught with the Mic Check. Anderson scored the pin.

Another OK match. The match really was just a backdrop to continue the mystery of whether Anderson is in cahoots with Aces and Eights.
Jeremy Borash interviewed Kenny King about the X-Division tournament final. King said that he was a freight train and the only thing that can stop it is Superman. He said Christian York isn't Superman and tonight isn't about York, it's about RVD. He said that when he tagged in RVD, he wanted to see if it was true. He left RVD in the ring for Morgan to kick him in the face on purpose. He said RVD has gotten soft. He said that RVD isn't the same man who used to battle Sabu and kick Jerry Lynn's head off ten years ago. King said he was going to perform "natural selection" and take out RVD to become the new emperor of the X-Division.
Kenny King vs. Christian York
They announced the X-Division title bout will take place immediately, so there will be no rest period for the challenger. They had a feeling out process early and traded Japanese style armdrags before both going for a dropkick at the same time and facing off.
King and York went back and forth shoving and slapping each other. York got the better of it, then chopped away at King. York drilled King with a knee to the mid-section as he came off the ropes. King nailed an inverted atomic drop, a leg lariat and a slam for another near fall.
King went outside to the apron. York went after him but was nailed with a shoulderblock. King tossed York to the outside and went for a dive but missed. York whipped King towards the apron but King caught himself. York charged and King sent him into the ropes. York bounced down and used a rana on King.
They battled back and forth until York was nailed and sent to the floor. King drilled him into the railing and rolled York back in for a series of near falls. King kicked away at York in the corner. York fired back with chops.
King regained control but was caught going for a leg lariat and folded backwards with a nasty suplex. King avoided a charge but was nailed with a series of clotheslines. York used a Russian legsweep variation and clotheslined King in the corner.
They battled onto the apron, where King failed at a cartwheel kick and York nailed one instead. York went to the top and nailed a double stomp off the ropes for a two count.
They went into a sequence of near falls and reversals with some hot moves. York went for a cannonball in the corner but King rolled out of the way. King drilled him with a pair of knees in the corner but York kicked out. King went for a La Magistral but York reversed it and scored the win.

Good match. York is a star. King came off well here as well.
After the match, King laid out York, upset over having lost. King then tried to call out Rob Van Dam.
TNA X-Division champ Rob Van Dam vs. Christian York
York was out on his feet. Both the referee and RVD told him he didn't have to continue and they could do it another time. York slugged RVD, so they rang the bell. RVD quickly wiped him out with a kick and nailed Rolling Thunder for a two count.
RVD cinched in a bow and arrow. He turned that into a pinfall combination and then used his legs to scissor York, trying to choke the air out of him. RVD nailed a guillotine legdrop while York was draped over the apron for a two count.
RVD missed a spinkick in the corner. RVD was kicked as he charged York. York nailed a missile dropkick for a two count. They battled back and forth but York was caught with a springboard kick off the ropes. RVD preened but was rolled up for a two count. RVD nailed him with a reverse windmill kick and went to the top for the Five Star Frog Splash. RVD leapt but York moved out of the way and nailed a side roll for a two count as RVD grabbed the ropes.
RVD nailed another kick. He and York battled. RVD escaped a half nelson suplex attempt. RVD drilled him and tried to crotch him on the ropes. York battled him off but eventually failed. RVD came off the top with a Ryder Kick to the face and nailed the Five Star Frog Splash.

Real good match. The story here was that York could hang with the champ and man, could he. It's nice to see a really hard working guy finally get his just due. He came back from a real underdog situation and nearly won the belt. This was a little faster paced and hard hitting than most of the usual RVD bouts have been of late as well. Best thing thus far on the show.
RVD helped up York and showed him respect after the match.
Jeremy Borash interviewed Joseph Park. He said tonight reminds him of his first case, Jarrett v. Bates. He said that he had to "kay-fab" Jeremy and was going to use what he learned from Danny Davis in OVW. He said tonight was his first chance to get revenge on Aces & Eights for what they did to him. He said he stands before them tonight, not as an attorney, but as a trained professional wrestler, ready to do battle. Park didn't seem to be as truly confident as he was trying to claim he was.
TNA TV champ Devon vs. Joseph Park
Devon told him he was a bitch when they kidnapped him and is one now. The crowd was big-time into chanting for Park. They locked up but Devon easily broke free and shoved Park away. Devon told him he was an amateur and a nobody.
They locked up again and Devon mocked him and messed up his hair. Devon continued to outclass Park. Devon made Park go down on all fours like an amateur competition but Park overpowered Devon, outwrestled him and slammed him to the mat. The place went nuts for that. Taz even tossed out a Don Leo Jonathan reference!
Joseph raised his dukes to fight but Devon nailed him in the mid-section. He worked over Park but was caught with a hiptoss, an armdrag and a slam. The place went nuts.
Park went for a splash but Devon rolled out of the way and sent him to the floor. Devon slammed his face into the apron and nailed him with a right hand. He tossed Park into the stairs. He continued working over Park on the floor and then back in the ring.
Devon worked over Park and tried to smash him into the turnbuckles. Park held on but was caught with a back elbow. Park made a comeback but seemed nervous about going to the top rope. He finally tried but seemed like he wasn't sure what to do. Park finally came off the second rope with a splash for a two count.
Devon caught him with a thumb to the eye, then slammed Park into an exposed turnbuckle pad. The shot busted open Park and when he saw the blood, he began acting like Abyss, killed Devon and nailed the Black Hole Slam. He went for a chokeslam but turned back into Park and seemed confused.
Devon sent Park into the corner and rolled him up for the pin.

Good match. Park does a great job with facial reactions and with acting as if he's nervous. Devon is a hell of a hand and Park was great here too. The bit where he turned briefly into Abyss and the sequences where he out-wrestled Devon got the crowd going. Good stuff.

Jeremy Borash interviewed Bobby Roode. Austin Aries said Park was unsuccessful in his first wrestling match and Hardy will be unsuccessful in Jeff Hardy's last wrestling match. Aries said that he and Bobby Roode have agreed to take out Hardy and then find out who is the dominant and greatest champion, because they both deserve to be champion more than Hardy. Aries promised he was going to win.
Knockouts Gauntlet - Gail Kim vs. Brooke Tessmacher vs. ODB vs. Mickie James vs. Velvet Sky
Kim and Tessmacher started. They went back and forth with a hot opening. Tessmacher used a forward roll for a two count and a series of forearms in the corner. She missed a back splash and was caught with a kick to the head for a two count.
Kim jumped down onto Tessmacher's back, then went to the top. Tessmacher nailed her and exploded with offense. She dropkicked Kim hard back into the buckles and nailed a Facebuster for a two count. Kim came back with "Eat Defeat."
Tessmacher has been eliminated.
ODB came out. Kim charged her on the ramp but was knocked down. ODB spanked her and muscled her around. ODB drilled her with a series of shoulderblocks. ODB nailed a running splash in the corner, then nailed the Bronco Buster for a two count.
ODB nailed a Fall Aways Slam for a two count. Kim sent her into the ropes but was nailed with a back kick. ODB went to the ropes but Kim yanked her leg and she came down hard. Kim rolled her up and hooked the tights for the pin.
ODB has been eliminated.
Mickie James came out but was kicked down as she entered the ring. James nailed a series of kicks to come back and covered Gail for a two count. James went for her finisher but Kim rammed her backwards into the buckles. Kim hit a running splash into the buckles. James and Kim battled on the apron. Kim was sent back into the ring.
James nailed a neckbreaker for a two count. They went back and forth until James was caught with an enziguiri. James nailed a flapjack and went to the top for the Thesz Press but Kim rolled out of the ring. James went after her but Kim was waiting for her. James still caught her with head scissors on the floor.
James tossed Kim back in the ring but Kim grabbed referee Taryn Terrell. James came back down and went after Kim with a rollup but Kim reversed it and hooked the tights for the win.
James has been eliminated.
Velvet Sky came out but Kim hid on the outside. Sky, puzzled, was attacked from behind on the floor. Kim controlled her and scored several near falls. They exchanged a series of near falls.
Sky sent her into the corner but Kim kicked her off. Kim rolled her up and hooked the tights but the referee saw it. Kim argued with her but was kicked by Sky and nailed by "In Yo Face." Kim's leg was under the ropes but the referee missed it.
Your winner and now number one contender, Velvet Sky!
Good match with Kim working as the nucleus. She worked her ass off here. I thought this was one of the better Knockouts bouts of late.
Jeremy Borash interviewed Christopher Daniels, who was with Kazarian. It was just awesome, a total smarmy heel throwback interview. These guys have really exceled in 2012.
Daniels vs. James Storm
The winner gets a TNA title shot on Impact on 1/24.
Kazarian had a one night manager's license so he could stay in Daniels' corner.
They went back and forth early with Storm controlling him with a headlock. Daniels came back but was clotheslined over the top to the outside.
Storm maintained control when they returned to the ring, nailing a series of rights and a backdrop. He peppered Daniels with a series of right hands in the corner. Kazarian distracted Storm, allowing Daniels to blast his arm and send Storm to the floor.
Kazarian worked over Storm and tossed him back into the ring. Daniels continued working over Storm's arm, sending him shoulder-first into the corner. Daniels continued to focus on the arm, trying to force a submission.
Storm tried to mount a comeback but kept getting cut off. He finally blocked a clothesline and nailed a Side Russian Legsweep. Daniels drilled him with a right hand but Storm fired back and nailed a leaping forearm for a two count. Storm nailed a knee to the face and a neckbreaker.
Storm went to the top. Kazarian tried to distract him but failed. Storm nailed a top rope elbowsmash for a two count. Storm sent Daniels into the buckles but missed a clothesline. Storm went for Closing Time but Daniels avoided it and snapped his bad arm, then drilled him with a flying clothesline for a two count.
Storm nailed the Eye of the Storm but Daniels kicked out at the last second. Storm drilled Daniels with a kick to the back of the head and used a sidewalk slam on Daniels. Storm set up for the Last Call superkick but Daniels blocked and nailed Angel's Wings for a two count.
Daniels called for the BME but Storm put his boot up. Storm worked over Daniels and set up for the Last Call. Kazarian got on the apron but was nailed with it. Daniels caught him with a Uranage and scored the pin.

Good back and forth match.
It's been an OK show so far. Nothing major or earth shattering.
They showed Bully Ray's proposal to Brooke Hogan. The happy couple then came to the ring. Ray began talking about who they should invite to the wedding and Brooke said they should invite everyone there in the Impact Zone. So, Ray filmed footage of them and said he was going to put it on Twitter. Ray said he wasn't much for "this feelings stuff" but thanked Brooke for saying yes and making him happy. He thanked the fans for having their back over "this whole situation."
Sting vs. D.O.C.
They began brawling on the floor. Sting sent Doc into the stairs and then into the guard rail. They battled into the crowd and towards the Aces & Eights entrance. Sting began choking Doc with his own shirt as another member of Aces & Eights hit the scene and attacked him.
That allowed Doc to grab control of the battle. He tossed Sting into the ring, where the referee rang the bell. Doc stepped on Sting's chest to pin him but Sting kicked out. Doc kept working over him and Sting rolled out back to the floor.
Doc drilled Sting with a right hand and whipped him hard into the ring steps. Doc tossed Sting back in and kicked away at Sting, keeping him on the defensive. Sting pulled himself up but was drilled with a haymaker and sent back to the mat.
Doc snapmared Sting down and cinched in a side chinlock. Doc continued the assault. Sting fought back and went for the Scorpion Death Drop. Doc fought him off but Sting nailed a series of kicks and drilled the Death Drop.
Sting unloaded with a series of rights and strikes. He hit the Stinger Splash on Doc and nailed another Scorpion Death Drop for the pin.
Your winner, Sting!
Match was what you would expect from Sting in 2013. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Aces and Eights hit the ringside area and were going to attack Sting but Bully Ray charged out and they ran off.
TNA champion Jeff Hardy vs. Bobby Roode vs. Austin Aries.
Jeremy Borash did the big time ring introductions.
Roode and Aries both tried to give the other orders on what to do. They then attacked Hardy and worked him over in the corner. They sent Hardy into the opposite corner. Aries was whipped into Hardy but was caught with an elbow. Hardy nailed Roode as well, then bulldogged Aries as he clotheslined Roode.
Hardy nailed an inverted atomic drop on Roode and followed up with a backdrop. Hardy turned to Aries and worked him over but was caught with by Roode and slammed backward to the mat head-first. Hardy kicked off Aries and tossed Roode to the floor. He then picked up and spun Aries into the air and down to the mat.
Hardy nailed a dive to the floor on Roode but only nailed him glancingly. Hardy brought him back into the ring and went for the Twist of Fate. Roode turned it into a spinebuster. Roode drilled Hardy with a series of right hands. He grabbed Hardy and dropped him with a back suplex for a two count.
Roode was sent to the outside but Aries then took over on Hardy, controlling him and scoring several near falls. Hardy made a comeback as Roode returned and sent them into each other, then used Roode as a springboard for Air Hardy.
Hardy went to the top but was caught up on the ropes by his opponents., Roode began smothering Hardy with his boot in the corner. Hardy was worked over and placed on the top rope. Aries and Roode took turns working him over but had dissension over who was going to follow up.
Roode nailed a big superplex and covered Hardy for a two count. They placed Hardy on the top and argued again. Roode finally agreed to put Aries on his shoulders and then attempted to do a double decker back superplex. Hardy fought off Aries and nailed a Whisper in the Wind on Aries, sending both crashing down.
Aries and Roode tried to grab Hardy but he wiped them both out. Hardy went for a dive on Roode outside but Aries attacked him from behind and Hardy crashed to the floor. Aries went for the big dive through the ropes on Hardy, who Roode was holding, but Hardy escaped and Roode was wiped out.
Hardy nailed a running leg lariat off the stairs onto Aries against the ringpost. Hardy followed up with a dive over the ropes to the floor on Roode. He returned Roode to the ring and went to the top for the Swanton.
Aries cut off Hardy and tried to suplex him out of the ring to the floor but Hardy turned it into a front suplex on Roode. He went for the Twist of Fate but was shoved off. Hardy sent his challengers into each other but was caught with a spear for a two count by Roode.
Aries caught Hardy with the brainbuster but Hardy kicked out. Roode told Aries to nail the 450 splash. He held Hardy wide open for it. Hardy rolled out of the way and then out of the ring. Roode tried to use the Perfectplex to pin Aries and eliminate him.
Ares kicked up and that was the end of their alliance. They shoved each other and Aries nailed a big running elbow for a two count. Roode went for a spear but Aries caught him and turned it into the Last Chancery. Roode teased tapping, then ripped Aries' eyes to force a break.
Roode went right for his Crossface. Aries turned it into a cradle for a two count. Aries went for a move but was caught with an attempted tiltowhirl. Aries was able to pull himself to the top rope but Roode cut him off before Aries could do anything. They battled on the ropes but Aries got the better of him. Aries drilled him with a big dropkick and went for the brainbuster but Roode turned into a rollup for a two count.
Aries came back with a backslide and as Roode went down, Hardy returned and nailed the Cruncher legdrop and both men pinned Roode.
Roode is eliminated.
Aries argued with the referee and went to grab Hardy. Hardy went for the Twist of Fate. Hardy was fought off but nailed the Twist of Fate through the ropes and drilled him with a Swanton for the win.

Dynamite, hard worked main event. All three of these guys worked their asses off. Really good finish to the PPV and easily the best thing from an "in ring" standpoint on the show.
Solid show but nothing out of this world. This is the end of an era here as it's the last Orlando live PPV for the time being (for major shows) and from here on in, it's on TNA to build the major shows as just that major. This felt like just another show. TNA's job is to make sure the PPVs don't feel that way ever again. Let's hope they do.
