WWE NXT REPORT: KALISTO DEBUTS; WOMEN'S TITLE TOURNAMENT CONTINUES; WHO IS THE NUMBER ONE CONTENDER FOR THE NXT CHAMPIONSHIP?

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Jason ‘Why So Tense’ Albert, Rich ‘Great first name’ Brennan, and Renee ‘The Canadian Treasure’ Young. 

Match Number One: Emma versus Charlotte (with Sasha Banks) in a First Round NXT Women’s Title Tournament Match

Emma and Charlotte bounce off the ropes before locking up. Charlotte with a clean break. They lock up again and Charlotte backs Emma into the corner and then the ropes and Charlotte with a clean break. They lock up one more time and Emma has Charlotte fall over her on all fours and Emma gets a near fall. Charlotte with an Irish whip but Charlotte with a shot to Emma on the apron and then she sends Emma to the floor.

Charlotte sends Emma back into the ring and she gets a near fall. Charlotte with a figure four head scissors but Emma bridges to get a near fall. Charlotte sends Emma to the mat and gets a near fall. Charlotte returns to the figure four head scissors and then she drives Emma’s head into the mat. Emma escapes and then Charlotte with a forearm to the back. Charlotte with an Irish whip but she runs into a boot.

Emma pulls the cobrette out of her boot and she sets for it but she hits Sasha instead. Charlotte with a rollup and bridging cover for the three count.

 

Winner: Charlotte (Advances to face the winner of Alicia Fox versus Alexa Bliss)

We go to commercial.

Match Number Two: Marcus Louis and Sylvester LeFort versus Kalisto and El Local

 

LeFort and Local start things off and they lock up. Sylvester with a wrist lock but Local with a reversal. Local with a side head lock. Louis tags in and Local with a clothesline. Local with a drop kick for a near fall. Louis sends Local into the ropes. LeFort kicks Local while Louis talks to the referee. Sylvester tags in and he hits a swinging neck breaker for a near fall. Sylvester with a forearm and he tags in Louis. They send Local into the turnbuckles. Louis with a punch.

Louis gets a near fall. Louis tags in Sylvester and Louis slams Local followed by a knee drop from LeFort for a near fall. Louis tags in and he kicks Local while Sylvester holds him. Local with punches and then he works on the neck. Local with punches and a jawbreaker. Louis with an Irish whip but Local slides into the corner and he kicks Louis.

Kalisto and Sylvester tags in and Kalisto with a cross body and a springboard senton followed by an Asai DDT for a near fall. Kalisto hangs in the ropes and Louis charges after him and he goes to the floor. Local with a corkscrew pescado onto Louis. Kalisto with a rollup into a kick to LeFort. Kalisto with a handspring round kick for the three count.

Winners: El Local and Kalisto

We go to commercial with Adam Rose giving the masked member of his Experience a pep talk.

Match Number Three: Camacho versus Captain Comic

Camacho with a kick to the Captain followed by a punch and kicks. Camacho with a delayed belly-to-back suplex. Camacho with a leaping leg drop. The Captain with punches but Camacho with punches to the Captain. Camacho picks up the Captain by the holes in his mask and then he applies a rear chin lock.

Captain with punches but Camacho with a head butt. Camacho gets the Captain on his shoulders and he hits a running Samoan drop. Camacho with a running power slam for the three count.

Winner: Camacho

 

After the match, Adam Rose comes to the ring to check on the Captain and Camacho goes to the floor.

We get comments from the participants in the next match.

Alicia Fox says that she is pretty good at predicting the future. In her future, she sees gold. A lot of the divas probably don’t know how to take that.

Alexa says that she is making her debut tonight and she is looking forward to making a splash. She is looking forward to following in the footsteps of Paige.

Match Number Four: Alicia Fox versus Alexa Bliss in a First Round Women’s Title Tournament Match

They lock up and Fox with a wrist lock and elbow to the head. Alexa with an elbow of her own and she kicks Fox. Bliss with a drop kick and a standing moonsault for a near fall. Fox with a knee followed by a tilt-a-whirl back breaker for a near fall. Fox with a forearm and snap mare for a near fall. Fox with a reverse chin lock. Fox with a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Fox sends Bliss into the turnbuckles.

Fox with an elbow to the head followed by a side head lock take down. Bliss gets to her feet and she gets out of the head lock and she kicks Fox. Bliss with forearms and an inside cradle for the three count.

Winner: Alexa Bliss (Advances to face Charlotte in the Semi-Finals)

Devin Taylor is with Adrian Neville and she asks him about the Battle Royal. Adrian says the Funkasaurus is now extinct. He commends whoever wins the Battle Royal because it is a difficult match. You have to outlast everybody. Cesaro had to lift a giant onto his shoulders to win the Andre the Giant Battle Royal at Wrestlemania. He looks forward to the challenge against the winner.

 

Match Number Five: Number One Contender Battle Royal

 

Everyone pairs off as the bell rings. Zayn and Dallas battle in the corner in one of the pairings. Clay eliminates Oliver Gray. Clay eliminates Curt Hawkins as well. Kidd with punches to Clay and Breeze joins in the attack on Clay. Woods punches Corbin while Local stays in the mat after being put on the turnbuckles. Louis and LeFort go after Local. Everyone tries to eliminate Clay and despite his efforts to keep himself off the floor, he is eliminated. English punches Local.

Louis chokes Woods in the corner. Local and Kalisto work as a team against Danny Burch. Camacho and Burch battle. Burch is eliminated by English. Bo kicks Kalisto and punches him. Ryan presses English onto Burch to eliminate him.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Kalisto tries to avoid elimination by LeFort and he hits a senton. We are told that Xavier Woods had a Kofi Kingston moment. Camacho avoids elimination at the hands of Corbin. Woods tries to eliminate Yoshi Tatsu. Ryan with shoulders to Dallas in the corner. Jordan punches Ryan while Kalisto and LeFort are eliminated.

Yoshi and Rawley try to eliminate Cassady but they fail. Bo punches Woods in the ribs and has him over the ropes but Woods rolls back in. Camacho punches Yoshi. Rawley tries to eliminate Cassady. Rawley punches Cassady. Camacho and Woods exchange chops. Woods with the advantage but he clotheslines Camacho over the top rope and the momentum eliminates himself too.

Yoshi with elbows to Ryan. Breeze punches Kidd in the corner and then he chokes him. Rawley tries to eliminate Yoshi. Zayn punches Corbin. Jordan punches Rawley while Yoshi goes after Kidd. Jordan eliminates Rawley.

Kidd ties himself in the ropes to avoid elimination. Yoshi and Breeze battle in the corner and Jordan is sent to the apron. Jordan with a forearm to Corbin and Jordan tries for a springboard move but Corbin knocks him off the apron to eliminate him. Corbin punches Dallas.

Bo clothesline Corbin over the top rope to eliminate him. Yoshi with forearms to Dallas but he misses a kick and Bo clotheslines Yoshi over the top rope to eliminate him. Ryan picks up Dallas for a power slam but Bo eliminates Ryan. Bo also eliminates Cassady with a clothesline.

Bo is eliminated by Kidd and we are down to the final three. The final three are Tyler Breeze, Tyson Kidd, and Sami Zayn.

Breeze with an Irish whip but Kidd with a head scissors. Kidd for a springboard move but Breeze with a Beauty Shot and Kidd is out. Breeze tries to pick up Kidd to eliminate him but then he knees Zayn in the midsection. Breeze with a punch and Zayn stys in the match with an Arabian Press back into the ring. Zayn punches Breeze on the apron.

Breeze with a shoulder from the apron and he gets back into the ring. Zayn with a clothesline and he goes for the Yakuza kick but Zayn misses and he goes over the top rope but Zayn hangs on. Zayn with kicks to Breeze. Breeze sends Kidd to the apron with a back body drop. Kidd with a head scissors to eliminate Breeze but Kidd hits the floor as well and Zayn loses his grip on the ropes and hits the floor.

The officials check the replay and after deliberating, Triple H comes out. He says that there is obvious confusion. We need a Number One Contender for NXT Takeover. Hunter asks the people what should we do. The crowd wants a Triple Threat match. Hunter says that the crowd knows what is best for business. Next week, there will be a Triple Threat match and the winner will face Adrian Neville on May 29th at NXT Takeover.

Winners: Sami Zayn, Tyler Breeze, and Tyson Kidd

All three men argue as we go to credits.
