RING OF HONOR TELEVISION REPORT: MATCHES FROM 12TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW INCLUDING LETHAL VERSUS STYLES AND MORE

It is time for some more Road Rage, but the venue has moved across the state from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia for footage from the 12th Anniversary Show.

Your announcers are Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino.

Michael Elgin makes his way to the ring and we are told that Matt Hardy’s flight to Philadelphia was cancelled so his match against Hardy was cancelled.

Michael takes the mic and he says for the last week there were two things he has been looking forward to. One is becoming the Ring of Honor World Champ. The second was to send Matt Hardy out of Philadelphia on a stretcher or in a body bag. But, he got to the building and he found out that Matt Hardy’s ‘flight got cancelled’. For a long time, he thought Matt was stupid, but he realized how smart he is because Matt decided to stay in North Carolina.

We are here to celebrate 12 years of this company. ROH is the best wrestling on the planet because Ring of Honor gives wrestlers a chance. They bring in the virtually unknown and make them stars. Michael says that he watches the shows and wonders who will be the next star and get that opportunity.

Without that opportunity, he wouldn’t be where he is today. Raymond Rowe gets to prove that he belongs or does not.

Match Number One: Michael Elgin versus Raymond Rowe

Rowe with a drop kick that sends Elgin into the corner. Rowe with a full nelson but Elgin rolsl through. Elgin with a uranage. Elgin with a delayed vertical suplex set up but Rowe with knees to get to his feet. Rowe tries for a suplex but Elgin blocks it. Elgin lifts Rowe up again but Rowe with more knees. Elgin finally hits the delayed vertical suplex and we go to commercial.

We are back and Rowe with a waist lock but Elgin blocks a German suplex attempt. Elgin and Rowe with standing switches until Elgin hits an enzuigiri and both men are down. Elgin with a waist lock but Rowe with elbows. Elgin misses a series of clotheslines and Rowe hits an Exploder but Elgin lands on his feet. Elgin with an Exploder of his own.

Each man tries for a clothesline. Elgin calls for a lariat but Rowe ducks. Elgin with the left and Elgin gets a near fall. Elgin with another clothesline for a near fall. Elgin sets for a power bomb but Rowe blocks it and Rowe with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex and Elgin goes to the floor. Rowe tries for a suicide dive but he crashes and burns when Elgin moves. Elgin with a power bomb into the guardrails.

Elgin rolls Rowe into the ring and Elgin with a sit out power bomb for the three count.

Winner: Michael Elgin

After the match, Adam Cole tries to hit Elgin with the belt, but Rowe stops him. Cole gets pushed by Rowe into Elgin. Elgin sets for a power bomb on Cole but Michael Bennett comes to the ring and he hits Rowe with a low blow and then he hits Elgin with a low blow to stop the power bomb.

Bennett and Cole attack Elgin. Jay Briscoe makes his way to the ring and he punches Bennett because Cole leaves the ring. Jay with jabs but Bennett rakes the eyes. Briscoe sends Bennett to the floor and we go to commercial.

We are back and Jay Briscoe is in the ring and he has something to say.

Jay asks if you are ready to see Michael Bennett get his ass whooped. Jay says that the people are ready to see the ROH World Title be defended. He wants the bell to be rung.

Match Number Two: Jay Briscoe versus Michael Bennett

They fight on the floor and Briscoe with head butts and a European uppercut. Jay sends Bennett into the guardrails. Briscoe sends Bennett into the guardrails again. Jay chokes Bennett and the referee warns him. Bennett sends Briscoe into the guardrails. Bennett with a kick but Briscoe Irish whips Bennett into the guardrails. Briscoe with a suplex onto the apron.

Briscoe with a head butt and Bennett tries to crawl to the back but Briscoe stops him. Briscoe with a forearm to the back and then Maria makes her way through the curtain. She distracts Jay long enough to allow Bennett to hit Briscoe from behind.

Briscoe is sent into the guardrails by the entrance. Bennett tries for a suplex on the floor but Briscoe blocks it and Briscoe with a suplex of his own. Briscoe brings Bennett back into the ring. Briscoe with a head butt and European uppercut. Briscoe with a drop kick and he gets a near fall. Briscoe with a boot to the head followed by a rear chin lock.

Briscoe with a boot to the back followed by a head butt. Briscoe with an Irish whip but he misses a charge into the corner. Bennett with punches. Bennett with a slam and elbow drop for a near fall. Briscoe with punches but Bennett punches back.

Bennett with an Irish whip and he misses a splash into the corner. Briscoe with a back elbow for a near fall. Briscoe with head butts. Bennett and Briscoe exchange punches but Bennett with a spinebuster and both men are down. Bennett gets a near fall and we go to commercial.

We are back and Briscoe with jabs to Bennett but Bennett with a super kick. Briscoe with a forearm and neck breaker for a near fall. Briscoe with a slam and then he goes to the apron and up top. Bennett with a punch to stop Briscoe. Bennett with a superplex attempt but Briscoe with a head butts that send Bennett to the mat. Briscoe with a frog splash for a near fall.

Briscoe gets Bennett on his shoulders but Bennett with elbows and a forearm to the back. Bennett with a Box Office Smash for a near fall. Bennett with a hammer lock but Briscoe with elbows. Bennett misses a short arm clothesline and Briscoe with a super kick and a Falcon Arrow for a near fall. Briscoe has something to say to Maria before trying for a Jay Driller. Cole comes to the ring and spits at Briscoe.

Bennett with a low blow and Bennett with a near fall on a rollup. Maria gets on the apron and then she argues with the referee. The referee is out of position to miss a low blow from Briscoe followed by the Jay Driller for the three count.

Winner: Jay Briscoe

After the match, Briscoe and Cole have a stare down from a distance.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Three: Jay Lethal versus A.J. Styles

They jockey for position before locking up with a test of strength. Lethal with the early advantage but Styles recovers. Lethal is backed to the corner and Styles with a clean break. They lock up and Styles with a side head lock. Lethal with a reversal but Styles rolls through into a reversal. Lethal with a front face lock into a side head lock.

Lethal holds on to the side head lock when Styles tries for an Irish whip. Styles with a wrist lock on Lethal but Jay with a reversal and he takes Styles to the mat. Styles tries to roll through for a reversal but Lethal rolls through as well to maintain the hold. Lethal with an arm bar.

Styles prepares for the Phenomenal drop kick but Lethal knows what is coming so he holds on to the ropes. Lethal sends Styles through the ropes but A.J. lands on the apron. Lethal with a double jump drop kick that sends Styles to the floor. Lethal waits for Styles to get up but Styles recovers and clotheslines Lethal over the top rope to the floor.

Styles teases a pescado but Lethal moves. Styles with a back heel kick but Lethal gets back into the ring so Styles lands on his feet on the floor. Lethal soars and scores with a suicide dive as we go to commercial.

We are back and Styles with punches. Lethal with a single leg take down. Lethal with a hip toss followed by a cartwheel into a drop kick for a near fall. Lethal with a modified cloverleaft and he elevates Styles but Lethal has his shoulders on the mat and Styles is able to get a near fall. Styles gets to the ropes and Lethal releases the hold.

Styles with elbows but Lethal with a chop that sends Styles through the ropes and to the apron. Lethal tries to suplex Styles back into the ring but Styles blocks it. Styles tries to suplex Lethal to the floor but Lethal blocks it. Styles gets Lethal on the apron and then he suplexes Lethal on the apron.

Styles Irish whips Lethal into the guardrails and then rolls Lethal back into the ring. Styles with a suplex into the turnbuckles for a near fall. Lethal with punches to the midsection followed by a palm thrust. Styles with a forearm to the back but Lethal with a kick. Styles with a drop kick. Styles with a step over toe hold into a Muta Lock but Lethal powers out of the hold and gets to the ropes. Styles with a shot to the leg and the referee warns Styles.

Styles with a kick to the leg. Lethal punches Styles and then Styles with a snap mare and rear chin lock. Lethal punches Styles but Styles with a front face lock. Lethal with punches but Styles with a bear hug. Lethal and Styles exchange chops. They move up to punches and then forearms. Styles misses a spin kick but Lethal does not miss with the Lethal Combination. Styles misses a punch and Lethal with a pop up neck breaker for a near fall.

Lethal chops Styles in the corner and then he puts Styles on the turnbuckles. Lethal sets for a superplex but Styles gets to the mat and he pulls Lethal off the turnbuckles. Styles sets for the Phenomenal forearm and he connects but only gets a two count. Styles signals for the Styles Clash but Lethal with a back heel kick.

Lethal tries to clothesline Styles over the top rope to the floor but Styles stays in the ring. Lethal tries a second time and cannot get Styles over the top rope. Styles kicks Lethal in the arm but Lethal with a super kick. Styles with forearm and a back fist followed by a clothesline that flips Lethal. Styles sets for the Styles Clash but Lethal gets to the ropes. Lethal with a leg lariat from the turnbuckles and both men are down.

Styles misses a punch and Lethal with a waist lock. Styles with a standing switch and one from Lethal. Styles with a Pele Kick and both men are down. Styles with a forearm and Lethal returns fire. Styles misses a forearm and Lethal with a Dragon Suplex. Lethal goes up top for the elbow drop and he connects but can only get a two count.

Lethal signals for the Lethal Injection and even calls it but Styles grabs him. Lethal with a forearm and then he goes for Lethal Injection but Styles catches him on his shoulders and goes for the sit out power bomb but Lethal lands on his head. Styles with the Styles Clash for the three count.

Winner: A.J. Styles
