RING OF HONOR TELEVISION REPORT: THE ROMANTIC TOUCH GETS IN THE VALENTINE'S DAY SPIRIT; ELIMINATION TAG MATCH

With the 12th Anniversary show this week, it is time to continue on the road to Philadelphia with another episode of Ring of Honor Road Rage from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Your announcers are Steve ‘Scored and Soared’ Corino and Kevin ‘The Guide says this is show is from 2009’ Kelly.

Before our opening match, Veda Scott joins Kevin and Steve at the announce table.

Maria Kanellis gets on the mic and she says that men like the Romantic Touch disgust her. They degrade women. They act like women need him. They say that women don’t have power in wrestling, but Maria says that she thinks the wrong women have power in wrestling. She says that she will take her power because she is not afraid of being in the ring with someone like The Romantic Touch.

Maria says that she is not afraid to take piledrivers or whatever else men want to give her because that gives her power. She wants to prove everybody wrong and teach them that women in wrestling can have power. This man right here, her fiancé, Michael Bennett has power because she taught him his new finishing move.

Michael says that since day one he has not said that he is the Best in the World. He has said that he is better than the best. From now on, it is not just about being better than the best, it is taking what he wants. He will take all of the power.

Match Number One: The Romantic Touch versus Michael Bennett (with Maria Kanellis)

Bennett misses a punch and Touch with a waist lock take down and he floats over. Touch with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Touch with a Sexy Party aimed at Maria. Bennett with a Thesz Press followed by punches. Bennett with a punch to Touch. Bennett with an elbow in the corner followed by an Irish whip.

Touch floats over and then he hits a monkey flip and gets a near fall. Touch with a chop and then he slides through the legs and trips Bennett from the floor. Touch tries to get closer to Maria on the floor but Bennett lays in wait and gives Touch a clothesline. Bennett with an Irish whip into the guardrails.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Bennett with a rear chin lock. Touch with punches but Bennett with a back elbow. Touch is lifted off the mat but he uses the ropes to get back to his feet. Touch punches Bennett but Bennett punches back. Bennett misses a charge into the corner and he is sitting on the middle turnbuckle and Touch drives Bennett’s groin into the turnbuckle. Touch with another Sexy Party and then he sends Bennett into another turnbuckle. Bennett with an Irish whip and back body drop.

Touch struts but Bennett with an Irish whip. Touch floats over and then he hits a springboard back elbow out of the corner for a near fall. Bennett charges and he is sent to the floor. Maria gets in front of Bennett to stop a dive to the floor by Touch. Touch dips Maria and instead of giving Maria a kiss, Bennett with a super kick.

Bennett with a running TKO for a near fall. Bennett says that he thought he had the three count but then he tries for the Box Office Smash but Touch with a counter and then he hits a drop kick. Maria gets on the apron and seductively teases Touch. Touch has a box for Maria and he forgets that he is wrestling in a match.

Maria opens the box and it is chocolate. Maria throws the chocolate in Touch’s face and then Bennett with a short arm clothesline into the Anaconda Vice. Touch taps out.

Winner: Michael Bennett

After the match, Romantic Touch drowns the sorrow of his loss by eating some of the chocolate he tried to give to Maria.

Veda Scott confronts the Romantic Touch after the match and he tries to carry Veda away but Veda escapes.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Two: Michael Elgin and Chris Hero versus The Briscoes versus Matt Hardy and Adam Cole in a Tag Team Elimination Match

Before the match starts, Bobby Cruise is advised that there is a new stipulation to this match. If anyone pins or makes Adam Cole submit, they earn a Ring of Honor World Title Match.

Elgin and Jay start things off and they lock up. Elgin with a clean break. They want a test of strength but Jay pulls back. They lock up again and Jay with a side head lock. Jay with a shoulder tackle but Michael does not go down. Jay tries for another shoulder tackle and Elgin stays on his feet. Elgin catches Jay on a leap frog attempt but Jay gets to his feet. Jay tries for an O’Connor Roll but Elgin holds on to the ropes.

Jay and Elgin look at Cole and Hardy but Matt and Adam go to the floor to avoid being tagged in. They lock up again and Elgin with a waist lock. Jay with a drop toe hold and Mark tags in. Mark punches Elgin. Elgin with a punch to Mark and Mark shakes it off and he looks like he wants more.

Hero tags in. They lock up and Hero with a wrist lock. Mark with a punch to the midsection but Hero holds on to the wrist lock. Hero with an arm bar and Hardy and Cole go back to the floor. Mark with a back drop into a side head lock. Mark floats over on an Irish whip and Mark returns to the side head lock. Hero with a top wrist lock into a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Hero with a kick when Mark goes for a leap frog and Hero gets a near fall.

Elgin tags in and they make a wish with Mark. Elgin with an elbow drop for a near fall and we go to commercial.

We are back and Jay with a front face lock on Hero. Hardy and Cole go back to the floor to avoid a tag. Mark tags in and they hit a double shoulder tackle for a near fall. Hero with a chop but Mark chops back. Hero with a kick and Mark with a chop. Mark and Chris look at Cole and Hardy again and Matt and Adam go to the floor. Jay and Elgin corner them on the floor.

Hardy is tagged in and Hero with a drop kick to the head. Hero with an Irish whip and Hero with a running forearm. Elgin tags in and they hit a double kick to the chest and get a near fall. Elgin with a delayed vertical suplex to Hardy but before he takes Hardy to the mat, Cole with a kick to the midsection. Elgin lifts Hardy again and Cole with another kick. Elgin gets Hardy up for a third time and eventually hits the delayed vertical suplex.

Mark is tagged in and he punches Hardy. Jay tags in and he chokes Matt in the ropes. Mark with a kick to Hardy while in the ropes. Jay with a head butt. Jay with a kick and Mark tags in and hits a leaping elbow drop for a near fall. Cole tags in and he kicks Mark. Mark with chops to Cole but Elgin tags in and he punches Cole.

Elgin kicks Cole in the corner. Elgin gets warned by the referee and then he connects with forearms. Elgin with a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall. Cole with a jawbreaker and Jay tags in and he punches Cole. Jay spits at Hardy and then he head butts Cole. Cole with a death valley neck breaker after Hardy hits Jay from behind. Cole gets a near fall.

Hardy tags in and he kicks and punches Jay in the corner. Cole tags back in and they send Jay into the turnbuckles. Cole and Hardy with a double short arm clothesline for a near fall. Cole with a slam and he tags Matt back in. Cole with a leg drop and Hardy with a leg drop of his own for a near fall.

Hardy with a head lock take down and then he goes to the ropes for the screaming elbow to the back of the head. Cole tags in and he goes to the turnbuckles for an elbow to the back of the head. Hardy tags back in and he connects with a fist drop and gets a near fall. Hardy chokes Cole in the ropes. Jay punches Cole on the apron but Hardy punches Jay.

Cole tags back in and he kicks Jay in the ribs. Cole with a forearm but Jay pushes him. Jay with punches to Cole and Hardy and then he tags in Mark. Mark with chops to Hardy and Cole who are both in the ring. Mark with a palm thrust and he sends Hardy to the floor. Mark with chops to the arm.

Hero tags in and Mark with an elbow off the apron onto Hardy. Hero with a boot to Cole for a near fall and we go to commercial.

We are back and Mark and Elgin are in the ring while Jay and Matt fight on the floor. Mark misses a kick but Elgin does not. Mark with a rolling Death Valley Driver and then he goes to the turnbuckles but Hero stops Mark. Jay with a running boot to knock Hero off the apron. Elgin sends Jay into Mark to crotch him. Elgin has Jay on his shoulder and he grabs Mark for a Fallaway Slam and Samoan Drop combination.

Cole tags himself in and then he gets a near fall on Mark while Matt sends Elgin into the guardrails. Cole sets for the Florida Key but Mark escapes. Mark and Jay with a modified 3D but Hero breaks up the cover. Elgin and Jay exchange punches while Hardy tags in. Matt tries for a Twist of Fate on Jay but Jay sends Matt towards Mark. Mark with a chop to the throat and then Jay with a neck breaker. Mark goes up top for the elbow drop and he connects. Mark gets a near fall when Cole breaks up the cover.

Cole and Jay exchange head butts and punches while Elgin hits Jay in the back before going after Cole. Jay sends Hero to the floor. Elgin and Jay go to the floor. Cole with a super kick to the back of Mark’s head and then Hardy hits the Twist of Fate to eliminate the Briscoes.

Briscoes Eliminated

Jay wants to know what happened before they head to the locker room.

Hardy and Hero are in the ring but Jay attacks Cole and pulls him off the apron. Security eventually pulls Jay off Cole and send him to the back. Hero with a rollup for a near fall. Hardy with an elbow. Hero with a discus elbow in the corner followed by a swinging cravate neck breaker for a near fall.

Hardy blocks a roaring elbow and hits a Side Effect for a near fall. Elgin breaks up the cover and the referee sends Hero to the apron. Cole tags in and hits a brainbuster neck breaker for a near fall. Cole blows a kiss to Elgin but Hero uses the time that Cole wasted to recover and hits a roaring elbow. Elgin tags in and knocks Hardy off the apron.

Cole runs Elgin into the turnbuckles but Cole charges and Elgin with a uranage from the corner. Elgin tries for a delayed vertical suplex but Cole with a knee to the head. Cole with a super kick. Elgin blocks a bicycle kick and Elgin with a clothesline for a near fall. Elgin waits for Cole to get up. Elgin kicks Hardy off the apron and Elgin tries for the bucklebomb. Cole with an enzuigiri. Cole goes to the turnbuckles and he tries for the Panama City Destroyer but Elgin does not go down.

Elgin with a back fist but Hardy with a clothesline. Hero tags in while Hardy and Elgin go to the floor. Hero with a spinning bicycle kick for a near fall. Cole with a super kick to the knee when Hero covers his head. Hero with a punch followed by a roaring elbow to the back of the neck for the three count.

Winners: Michael Elgin and Chris Hero (Chris Hero earns an ROH Title Match)

After the match, Hardy with a spear to Hero followed by punches. Elgin with a deadlift German suplex to Hardy.

Elgin blocks a super kick from Cole. Hero pulls out the elbow pad and Elgin spins Cole around for the roaring elbow.

We go to credits with Elgin and Hero shaking hands.
