The excellent documentary GLOW - The Story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling is now available on Netflix streaming on demand. It's a great film. There are scenes with Mt. Fiji that just break your heart when you watch them. The director and producers got far more out of the subject then you would think and it's well worth going out of your way to watch.
The Bob Backlund autobiography is now set for a 4/1/14 release.
Pro Wrestler banned from Wal-Mart sounds like an amusing story, except it probably wasn't for Joe Cantrell, a former independent wrestler in Arizona, who was arrested and banned from the franchise for life after allegedly threatening an employee for refusing to price match. Cantrell, who admits he goes to his local Wal-Mart about 14 times a week, says he price matches everything as he's disabled and doesn't have a lot of money. The charges against Cantrell were dropped but he's still banned. For more, click here.
