Colt Cabana mentioned on the latest Steve Austin podcast that he was scheduled soon to go down to WWE NXT in Florida for another WWE announcing tryout.

Cabana had a few callbacks for the job from his appearance on the CM Punk "Best in the World" documentary DVD but nothing came from it. Cabana had been doing commentary in then-WWE developmental TV series FCW when he was released by WWE in 2009.
