If you (like me) love Madison Square Garden and consider it the greatest Arena in the world, well, you may have to say goodbye to the venue as it currently exists and currently stands. In the latest in an ongoing issue between the two sides, the city of New York only renewed MSG's permit to exist and operate above Penn Station, one of Manhattan's top train traffic hubs, for another 15 years. There are forces in NYC's political scene that want to see the Arena relocated to somewhere else in Manhattan so that Penn Station can be renovated and have its facilities modernized to accommodate the ever increasing amount of transit traffic since MSG opened on top of the Station 45 years ago. The Arena had been seeking a permanent permit to operate above the Station, especially since it just paid for a complete renovation of the facility, which took several years and was not funded at all by the city, unlike similar renovations and constructions. For those who don't know the geography, MSG is literally in the center of the city within walking distance of every major NYC subway line and above the trains from New Jersey and Long Island. This will be a major story for the greater NYC area but also for WWE since that facility was their flagship venue forever as well as the site of numerous Wrestlemania and other PPV events. The current location is the third MSG venue.

Look out Jerry Lawler! Andy Kaufman New Mexico? KRQE TV in Albuquerque, NM has a story on a number of fans that believe a theory that Kaufman, who famously feuded with Lawler in Memphis Wrestling, now lives in the city. You can check it out at this link. I wonder what Tony Clifton has to say about this?

Former pro wrestler Sean Casey, who worked a lot in the Ohio area, has been indicted on wire fraud charges in the amount of $700,000. Casey was running an escort and party service and is accused of taking credit card charges for escort's adult services and listing the charges for other services, such as midgets, clowns, etc. You can read more about it at this link.
