The Fanfest, which previously announced a training seminar that would take place over the course of the weekend headed by Tom Prichard and with Les Thatcher and Tully Blanchard, among others, assisting in the camp. The winning participant will receive a $2,500 scholarship to continue their wrestling training.
The Fanfest also released the following video with legendary announcer Bob Caudle discussing the currently in production "Mid-Atlantic Memories" documentary, which will look at the history and legacy of the promoters and stars of that pro wrestling region:
The Fanfest is running their own fundraising campaign to assist in the production of the documentary, with those donating receiving special rewards, similar to Kickstarter.com. For more on that, click here.
Among the legends already announced for the gathering are Mr. Wrestling II, Ivan Koloff, Les Thatcher, JJ Dillon, Tully Blanchard, Jerry Brisco, Tiger Conway Jr., Lars Anderson, Bob Caudle, The Midnight Express, Jim Cornette, The Rock N' Roll Express, Magnum TA and Johnny Powers.
The weekend will also feature the 2013 Hall of Heroes banquet, live matches, autograph sessions, photos, a Blanchard & TA reunion Q&A, a Cornette Q&A and much more.
