WHAT'S UP WITH BATISTA, WHY PHOTOGRAPHERS ARE NO LONGER SHOOTING RINGSIDE AT WWE TV EVENTS AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2013-05-03 10:00:00
There's been a lot of rumors about Batista returning, so what's the deal?

No deal. He's been bulking up of late, but that's for his role in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy film, which will feature Batista as Drax the Destroyer. He was recently interviewed by WWE for several projects, including the upcoming Triple H DVD documentary, but Batista has long stated that if and when he returned to WWE, it would be for a final, long run, not a cameo or coming in and out for a Wrestlemania style payday.

Now that Fandgango has been an instant success do you believe Mr.McMann will start introducing similar characters?

I don't think Fandango is an instant success, but if they can get him to sell merchandise, they will be happy to come up with similar characters in an attempt to repeat the success.

Do you know if that just posted ICW show in NYC is actually at the Elks Lodge proper, or if its in that small room behind the Lodge they they have been using... I assume its in the small room, and there are no events planned at the actual Lodge (is that still a Korean church) but their website is making a big deal of it so I figure it might be the actual Lodge.

It's not the former ECW venue, which is now a Korean Church. However, the old Elks Lodge kept property next door, which is where ICW in New York City will be running. It's a much smaller venue.

Back in the day, there used to be at least a few photographers at ringside. Now it seems like I don't ever see any or, maybe I don't notice them like I used too.. Kind of a dumb question but, what happened to having photographers at ringside?

WWE banned all but their own photographers from ringside once they made the move to High Definition broadcasting. Photogs now shoot from next to where the hard camera position is set up. They are still able to shoot at house shows.

Where's Low Ki?

He's wrestling on the independents from time to time. He's no longer with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
