WWE NXT CLASH OF CHAMPIONS REPORT: FOUR TITLE MATCHES; BIG MATCH ANNOUNCED FOR NEXT WEEK; AND MORE

It is time for a WCW tradition to come to NXT with the Clash of Champions format. Four matches involving four championship matches from all over WWE.

Dusty Rhodes says that it gives him great pleasure to present NXT Clash of Champions. Over the past few weeks, he has set a number of championship matches including the NXT Championship. Dusty tells everyone to sit back and enjoy.

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Tom ‘One of these four is not like the other . . . one of these four doesn’t belong in the current timeline’ Phillips and William ‘I have wrestled on the Clash of Champions’ Regal.

While Antonio Cesaro comes to the ring, we are shown a graphic that mentions that when this match was taped, Antonio Cesaro was still the United States Champion.

Before our first match, Antonio Cesaro has something to say. Antonio tells everyone to shut their mouths. He is the longest reigning champion in the WWE right now. When he graces NXT with his presence, he wants everyone to stand up and give him a standing ovation because he is the greatest United States Champion in history. He will be champion for a long, long, long, long . . .

Match Number One: Antonio Cesaro versus Adrian Neville for the United States Championship (at the time this show was taped)

They lock up and Neville with a rollup for a near fall. They go for a test of strength and Cesaro takes Neville to the mat and he slaps Neville in the head to mock him. They lock up and Cesaro works on the wrist but Neville with a reversal and inside cradle for a near fall. Cesaro with an elbow to the head and he applies a side head lock. Cesaro with a shoulder tackle and he returns to the reverse chin lock.

Cesaro blocks a hip toss but he misses a clothesline. Neville with a head scissors take down and then he kips up and Cesaro goes to the floor to regroup. Cesaro takes his time getting back into the ring so Neville chases after him. Neville with a shoulder from the apron and he gets a near fall with a rollup and then he hits a drop kick. Neville goes for a monkey flip but Cesaro counters with snake eyes and we go to commercial.

We are back and Cesaro with a reverse chin lock but Neville gets back to his feet. Neville with a sunset flip for a near fall. Cesaro with a double stomp to the chest for a near fall. Cesaro with a forearm and he gets a near fall. Cesaro kicks Neville a den he rakes the face of the challenger.

Neville with punches but Cesaro with a knee and European uppercut for a near fall. Cesaro with a reverse chin lock. Neville tries for a sunset flip but Cesaro stays on his feet. Neville with a back slide for a near fall. Cesaro runs into a boot and Neville comes off the turnbuckles but Cesaro catches him and hits a tilt-a-whirl back breaker for a near fall.

Cesaro with forearms to Neville and he returns to the reverse chin lock and he puts his body weight on Neville. Neville gets to his feet momentarily but Cesaro gets Neville back to the mat. Cesaro charges at Neville, but Neville ducks down and Cesaro goes over the top rope to the floor. Neville with a kick from the apron and then Neville with an Asai Moonsault.

Neville rolls Cesaro back in and Neville hits a springboard drop kick for a near fall. Neville with another drop kick and then he hits a standing shooting star press for a near fall. Neville is caught by Cesaro. Cesaro tries for a power bomb but Neville counters with a flip tombstone for a near fall.

Cesaro with a knee that backs Neville into the corner. Cesaro charges into the corner but Neville moves. Neville goes to the apron and he kicks Cesaro in the head. Neville goes for a springboard moonsault but Cesaro catches him. Neville counters into a DDT and Neville gets a near fall.

Neville goes up top for the corkscrew shooting star press but Cesaro crotches Neville and then he connects with a running European uppercut and then he hits the Gotch Style Neutralizer for the three count.

Winner: Antonio Cesaro

Match Number Two: AJ Lee versus Kaitlyn for the Divas Championship

Kaitlyn offers her hand and AJ shakes it. AJ slaps Kaitlyn in the face and Kaitlyn with an Irish whip and elbow. Kaitlyn with a hard Irish whip. Kaitlyn with another Irish whip but AJ moves when Kaitlyn charges into the corner and Kaitlyn hits the ring post with her shoulder. AJ works on the injured arm and she applies a Fujiwara arm bar.

AJ turns it into a back hammer and she does a headstand into a bridge. Kaitlyn with a punch and she tries for a suplex but AJ counters with a single arm DDT. Kaitlyn with European uppercuts to AJ followed by a clothesline and back elbow. Kaitlyn with forearms in the corner but AJ with boots to the head.

AJ goes to the turnbuckles for a cross body but Kaitlyn kicks out and applies an inverted DDT for a near fall. Kaitlyn with a forearm and she charges at AJ but AJ moves and Kaitlyn goes through the ropes to the floor.

AJ sits in the ring while the referee counts and Kaitlyn returns to the ring. AJ with a choke with a body scissors but Kaitlyn with a snap mare. AJ with a kick followed by a Shining Wizard for a near fall. AJ punches Kaitlyn but Kaitlyn pushes her away. Kaitlyn with a spear for the three count.

Winner: Kaitlyn

Tony Dawson is in the locker room and he is with Chris Jericho, who will wrestle next week on NXT. Chris comments on Tony’s fashion choices. Tony asks Chris about returning to an NXT ring. Chris says that everything is organized and professional. If they cannot make it here, they will not make it anywhere.

Chris says that he has been given the chance by Dusty Rhodes to select his opponent for next week.

Bray Wyatt enters the locker room and he introduces himself. He says that he has noticed a change in Chris Jericho. Bray says that he can make Chris someone the people fear again. All Chris has to do is hold his hand and carry the chains for the Wyatt Family.

Chris thinks about it and he tells Bray to never ever interrupt him during an interview agayne. He says that he has been watching Wyatt and he is good, but not great. Chris says that Bray has won the prize because Bray Wyatt will be his opponent next week. If Bray can beat Chris, how much higher will Bray get on the food chain? If Bray can beat him, he will join Bray’s family.

When he beats Bray, Bray will end up learning a lesson.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Brad Maddox does his own introduction on his way to the ring and he says that he will be the new NXT Champion.

Match Number Three: Big E Langston (with Chalk) versus Brad Maddox for the NXT Championship

Brad prays before locking up. Brad offers his hand but it is supposed to be a trap. Langston with a back body drop. Brad pushes Langston but Langston with a punch to the midsection and Langston with a running body block and the straps are down. Langston gets Maddox up for the Big Ending and he hits it and gets the three count.

Winner: Big E Langston

After the match, Langston returns to the ring and he picks up Maddox and hits another Big Ending and Langston makes his own five count. Maddox rolls out of the ring but Langston sends Maddox back in. Brad begs for mercy but Langston hits another Big Ending and makes another five count.

We go to a video recap to explain why Bo Dallas and Wade Barrett are wrestling tonight.

Tony Dawson is in the locker room with Bo Dallas. Tony asks Bo about his match with Wade Barrett. Bo says that Wade underestimates him. There are many people who were underestimated, like Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Mr. Perfect, and Randy Savage. They all won the Intercontinental Title. Bo says that Wade is coming into his house and it is all about the Bo Barrage.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Four: Bo Dallas versus Wade Barrett for the Intercontinental Championship

Barrett has something to say to Dallas before locking up. Barrett backs Bo into the corner and he connects with a forearm. Bo with a forearm to the jaw and Barrett retreats into the ropes. Barrett with a kick and head butt followed by a punch to the midsection. Dallas with a cross body for a near fall. Bo with a rollup for a near fall and then he bridges and gets a near fall.

Dallas with a drop kick and Barrett goes to the floor to regroup. Dallas with a waist lock but Barrett backs Bo into the corner and Barrett with a series of elbows. Barrett gets a near fall followed by an elbow drop. Barrett with a kick to the back and then to the shoulder. Barrett with a suplex and he gets a near fall.

Barrett with a reverse chin lock. Bo with punches but Barrett with a knee to the midsection and he kicks Bo in the head and gets a near fall. Barrett with a knee to the midsection. Bo with arm drags and a punch to the midsection. Bo clotheslines Barrett over the top rope to the floor and we go to commercial.

We are back and Bo with an arm bar. Barrett with a punch to Bo followed by an elbow. Barrett sends Dallas’ throat into the ropes and Dallas lands awkwardly. Barrett with a boot to the head and he gets a near fall. Barrett puts Dallas on the top turnbuckle and Barrett with forearms to the back and a knee to the midsection and Dallas falls to the floor.

Barrett follows Bo to the floor and he sends Bo back into the ring and he gets a near fall. Barrett stretches Dallas. Barrett with a reverse chin lock but Dallas with punches. Barrett with the back heel kick followed by a pump handle slam but Dallas kicks out at two.

Barrett chokes Dallas in the ropes and then he puts Bo in the ropes and connects with knees followed by a boot to the head and Dallas falls to the floor. Barrett pulls Dallas back onto the apron and he suplexes Bo back into the ring and Bo kicks out.

Barrett with a rear chin lock. Bo with punches but Barrett with an Irish whip and Bo gets his boots up and then he hits a drop toe hold that sends Barrett into the turnbuckles. Bo with running forearms followed b a punch to he midsection and a kick to the head. Bo with a running forearm for a near fall. Bo runs into an elbow from Barrett. Bo escapes a pump handle slam and Bo hits an inveted DDT for a near fall. Bo goes for the bulldog using the ropes but Barrett pushes him off. Barrett with the Blackpool Slam for a near fall.

Barrett gets ready for the Bull Hammer but Bo moves. Bo hits the bulldog out of the corner and he can only get a two count. Barrett with a kick and he gets Bo up for Wasteland but Bo with elbows. Bo goes to the turnbuckles and he comes off the turnbuckles but Barrett with the Bull Hammer for the three count.

Winner: Wade Barrett

We go to credits.
