During the last few hours WWL officials announced the names of Joe Don Smith (JDS), Chicky Starr and “Voodoo Man” have been added to the talents that will be at hand at the show. Starr and Smith are local veterans that could be coming in a non-wrestling capacity, although not that far away from the action as they will be doing commentary throughout the evening.

During the entire week there has been massive coverage in one of the major newspapers in the island, “Primera Hora”. In case you would like to take a look at some of the articles that have been published throughout the week, here are the links:

There has been an official announcement regarding “General Manager” Debbie Ross. She will not be appearing at the show as they have parted ways.

I will be at the show live and will file a complete report of all that takes place during the day at the coliseum.

World Wrestling Council (WWC)

WWC had been scheduled to present their weekly Saturday night house show in Mayaguez, PR last Saturday. Unfortunately the show was cancelled close to 9PM that evening. What we have heard from people that had already arrived and were inside the arena was that there was a very low turnout for the show and WWC officials made the decision to cancel at the last minute. The crowd was said to be less than 100 fans at the time of the announcement.

That being said, they did run a Sunday house show/TV taping in Cataño, PR at the “Cosme Beitía Sálamo Arena”. Scheduled for the show was Ray Gonzalez facing Carlito and Savio Vega facing Invader #1 in a “Lumberjack Match” with indy wrestlers surrounding the ring as Invader had been talking down and abusing several of these performers during the last few weeks. The only news to come out of the show was that they announced that Vega had been bloodied badly during his match with Invader and that he had been stretchered out. More information and footage will be shown during the course of this weekend’s TV shows.

For this weekend, WWC has announced that they will have a house show on Saturday night at the “Lauro Davila Coliseum” in Toa Alta, PR; and then on Sunday evening they return to Cataño, PR at the “Cosme Beitía Sálamo Arena”. The Cataño show will most likely be next week’s TV taping.

Over the last couple of months WWC has been announcing a show that will take place in Kissimmee, FL at the “Kissimmee Civic Center” on Saturday June 15 at 8:30 PM. Tickets are on sale right now. For more ticket information and purchase you can call 407-935-1412.
