ROSS ON SWAGGER ARREST, TEXAS COACH HONORED BY WWE, LIVE EVENT UPDATES AND MORE NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2013-02-25 11:42:19
As noted earlier, WWE will broadcast Raw from Dallas, Texas tonight. The promotion will tape Smackdown and Main Event tomorrow in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Jim Ross has a new blog entry on his official site at JrsBarQ.com. He noted his Milwaukee event with Jerry Lawler and Gene Okerlund went great and it may go on the road with future events. Ross wrote about Undertaker's return and discussed Jack Swagger's arrest, penning, "I got criticized for saying that I wasn't turning my back on Swagger and I'm still of that mindset. Can you realize how many people that I would have failed to support back in my talent relations days if I had that mentality? At some point, if one cannot solve a problem, then one must eliminate said problem. But I've always felt compelled that one should exhaust all reasonable remedies to solve an issue before saying adios to any talent. I'd like to think that back in the day that I was a "player's coach" but that doesn't mean that repeat offenders or those who are so defiant and that resist positive changes in their lives need to be kept around. I simply hope that Swagger has learned a life lesson from his mistake and that nothing like this ever occurs again. He owes it to himself, his family, the fans and his company to do so."

Texas A&M football coach Kevin Sumlin was honored at last night's house show live event in College Station, Texas. He was introduced by Alberto Del Rio and presented with a replica of the World title belt. This led to an angle where Big Show came out and ripped on Sumlin and the University before a bout with Alberto. For the finish, Sumlin handed his replica to Del Rio, who nailed Show with it.

The rest of the show saw:

The Miz beat Damien Sandow.
Layla and Kaitlyn beat Tamina and Aksana.
Jack Swagger beat Sin Cara.
Fandango beat Ted DiBiase.
Randy Orton beat Cody Rhodes.
The Great Khali and Brodus Clay beat Epico and Primo.
Sheamus beat Wade Barrett in a non-title match.

The 2013 Royal Rumble PPV will be released tomorrow on DVD and Blu-Ray.
