RING OF HONOR TELEVISION REPORT: SIX MAN TAG MATCH; KEVIN STEEN AND JAY LETHAL SPEAK; TOP PROSPECTS FINAL; AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2013-02-23 17:46:51
We are in Baltimore, Maryland and your announcers are Kevin Kelly and Caleb Seltzer.

We see footage from the end of last week’s show when Kevin Steen stood between Rhino and Jay Lethal. What will Kevin Steen say when he comes to the ring?

Kevin Steen makes his way to the ring and he only has the Ring of Honor World Title belt with him. Kevin says that people say that he has changed. Something that has changed over the last few years is Ring of Honor. It has gone through a few changes over the last few years. When he won the title, he was not proud of the victory and he was not happy to be Ring of Honor Champion. He hoped that it would have killed the company. He did not want to kill it because he hated it. He loves this company. He wanted to put this company out of its misery because of what Jim Cornette did to it.

Ring of Honor was about young wrestlers busting their asses to prove that they belong. With Jim Cornette gone, this company has become about pro wrestling. You can call him sick or an asshole, but you cannot say that he does not love pro wrestling. He has bled and cried for it and he is not going to stop soon.

Since Jim Cornette’s departure, he has realized that he is proud to be the Ring of Honor Champion. That is why he is giving Jay Lethal a title shot. It is because he earned it. He does not deserve it because he has beaten a lot of wrestlers or because of his talent. He deserves it because he got rid of Jim Cornette.

Jay may be great, but since he won the title, he has beaten Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards, Roderick Strong, Rhino, Michael Elgin, and El Generico to name a few.

He says that he has put himself through hell and now more than ever, he will do everything and anything to keep the title. What makes Jay Lethal think that he can beat him? Jay Lethal cannot beat him.

We go to comments from the participants in the finals of the Top Prospect Tournament.
