KURT ANGLE RESPONDS TO IOC PULLING WRESTLING

The Associated Press reported today that the International Olympic Committee voted to remove wrestling, in all forms, from the Olympic games after the 2016 games. What was means is that wrestling would then have to state its case to try and be reinstated for the 2020 games (and so on) among a slew of other sports that have not been guaranteed competitions for the 2020 games.

TNA star Kurt Angle commented on the decision to FoxSports.com, remarking, "We’re going to fight this. They can’t just drop it. They’re keeping badminton and that sport where you jump on a trampoline, and they’re dropping wrestling. It’s just crazy. I don’t know what this world is coming to. Things are changing."

Angle's gold medal winning performance in the 1996 games in Atlanta led directly to his professional wrestling career.
