FORMER ECW WORLD CHAMP SETS RETIREMENT DATE, DYNAMITE KID DOCUMENTARY UPDATE AND MORE

Former ECW World champion Jerry Lynn has set 3/23/13 as his official retirement date, literally on the 25th anniversary of his debut. Lynn's final match will be in Minneapolis, where he is originally from and broke in under Brad Rheighans.

Lynn's final match in the Northeast will be 2/9 in Metuchen, NJ, facing old ECW rival Lance Storm for the last time for Pro Wrestling Syndicate.

Highspots.com returned from a week of shooting footage and conducting interviews in Calgary this weekend for their forthcoming documentary on the life of Dynamite Kid. Interviewed for the piece so far are Bruce Hart, Ross Hart, Keith Hart, Slick, The Honkytonk Man, Brutus Beefcake, Gama Singh and many others. They are scheduled to interview Bret Hart this week for the film, which will be released in early 2013.

Lots of talk making the rounds that Billy Corgan's Resistance Pro has been pitching a reality series pilot that has gotten good responses to several cable networks.
