By Dave Scherer on 2012-11-05 13:03:24

The following was released today.

ESPN Audio will debut the weekday afternoon drive time “Coach” & Company (M-F 4-7 p.m. ET) on Monday, Nov. 5, featuring ESPN studio anchor Jonathan Coachman.

“The Coach” will initially be joined by a rotating array of ESPN on-air personalities to present three hours of personality-driven opinion, analysis, humor and interviews covering the news of the day, as well as interact with listeners via e-mails, texts and calls.

“To say I am excited about ‘Coach’ & Company would be an understatement, but it’s going to be about our entire team – our production team and the team of fans at home – who will all have a hand in hopefully making it a successful show,” Coachman said. “I am very serious about sports, but people can expect above all else a show that is fun. And, with my background in the WWE, I feel I can really bring an entertainment value to the show in a strong way.”

In addition to traditional terrestrial affiliates, “Coach and Company” will be available on the ESPN Radio App, Sirius/XM (channel 84), TuneIn, Slacker, and espnradio.com, the most listened to stream in the world.

At ESPN, Coachman has shown his versatility by anchoring NBA Tonight, College Football Live, NASCAR Now, and ESPN2 Friday Night Fights. Previously, the McPherson College, (Kan.) graduate served for nine years as an on-air talent/character for Vince McMahon and the WWE, and as a sports anchor at MSG Network in New York (2007-2008), KMBC-TV in Kansas City (1999-2000), and KAKE-TV in Wichita (1997-1999).
