The National Wrestling Alliance issued the following press release:

Mexico City, MX (October 25, 2008) – Centro Banamex Convention Center was a history making site as it hosted the NWA™ Worlds Heavyweight Championship match featuring Adam Pearce Vs. Blue Demon, Jr. In the end, Blue Demon, Jr. won the famous “10 lbs. of Gold” in a very controversial fashion.

“I passed out while Demon had me in a Half Boston Crab and when I woke up I was told that I was under the rope and the Referee had stopped that match. This is clearly against the NWA Rule Book and I will be taking this up with Trobich. Demon, you are not the NWA Worlds Champion,” said former champion Adam Pearce.

“I think Pearce has a case. I’ve reviewed the footage and he is in the right, his arm is under the rope, but in the NWA, the Referee’s decision if final,” states Ruben Zamora of NWA Latin American Relations.

Blue Demon, Jr. is the first Mexican and Masked Wrestler to ever win the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship in the six decades the National Wrestling Alliance has been in business.

2010 - WWE broadcast Raw.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV report:

We are live from Green Bay, Wisconsin and your announcers are Michael ‘Why isn’t there a statue of Miz next to Vince Lombardi’ Cole and Jerry ‘Cheese Soup’ Lawler.

The man who won last night in the main event but unable to gain the WWE Title comes to the ring and Wade Barrett is joined by the rest of Nexus and John Cena. David Otunga and John Cena have the WWE Tag Titles with them and Cena is not happy to be in the ring with his black and gold clad friends.

Wade thanks everyone to stop them from chanting for John Cena, who stands in the corner. Wade wants everyone to simmer down. He wants to take this opportunity to introduce the most dominant force in WWE history, The Nexus. Wade goes through the roster in case you forgot who they are. Wade says that they did the unthinkable last night when their actions resulted in the burial of the Undertaker.

We go to the photos to prove what Nexus did last night in the Buried Alive Match.

Wade says that everyone is wondering why would Nexus get involved in something they had nothing to do with. He says that it is not for them to know why they helped Kane. They did have their reasons.

Wade reminds us that he beat Randy Orton last night, but he wants John Cena to explain what happened, and that is an order.

John says that Wade was about to get beaten down by Orton so he got involved and got Orton disqualified so Wade would win the match.

Wade tells Cena what really happened. He was on his way to beating Randy Orton and becoming the WWE Champion when Cena inexplicably entered the ring and laid his hands on Wade Barrett.

Otunga thinks about it and he gets on one knee and lays down for Slater to get the three count.
