LOOKING AT THE WIN/LOSS RECORDS OF THE ENTIRE WWE AND TNA ROSTERS: WEEK 32

By Darren Bongiovanni on 2012-08-13 08:05:00

NOTES FOR WEEK 32:
Welcome to Week 32 of Darren’s Win-Loss Records Column for the week of August 6 – August 12, 2012. This week was delayed due to our 1st Pay-Per-View for August, TNA Hardcore Justice. Next week will be the same due to WWE’s August event, the 25th Annual SummerSlam, which is not the 25th Anniversary, as WWE wants us to believe. Now, to this week’s news & notes.

On Raw, we had a Double Count Out between Randy Orton & The Big Show. It was the 1st Double Count Out on Raw, since January 9 (John Cena VS Dolph Ziggler) and 1st one on WWE TV since the April 10th Smackdown (Randy Orton VS Mark Henry). This was the 2nd week in a row that Raw had a No Contest and was the 1st No Contest for August. The Handicap Match between Ryback and Hawkins & Reks was the 128th Gimmick Match of the year and 83rd for WWE. It was the 1st Handicap Match since WWE Money In The Bank, which was also the last time that Ryback faced Hawkins & Reks, adding them to the July-August Re-Match list. Epico & Primo VS The Prime Time Players became the 1st match to be re-matched in June, July, and August. The Brodus Clay VS Damien Sandow was officially called a No Contest by WWE.com, so that is what it is called here, therefore we had 2 No Contests on Raw, which was the 1st time since July 2 that happened. Kelly Kelly made her return to action after not competing since May 21, when she lost to Beth Phoenix. Her match against Eve was the 1st Diva’s Match on Raw since the Summertime Beach Battle Royal on June 21, which was won by AJ. Alex Riley’s victory over Dolph Ziggler was Riley’s 3rd win this year. The last time he won was when he teamed with Tyson Kidd against Johnny Curtis & JTG on NXT on May 2. This week’s Raw gave us 10 matches, making it the most matches on a single episode of Raw. The previous record for Raw was April 30, which had 8 matches. Raw now ties the May 11th episode of Smackdown, which also had 10 matches, for most matches on a single episode of TV.

Besides the 2 Gold Rush Championship Tournament Quarterfinal Matches, the only thing of note on NXT was Caylee Turner making her in-ring debut, making her the 210th addition to the list. On Superstars, we had our 3rd re-match between Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd and Curt Hawkins & Tyler Reks, as they have competed against each other for the 3rd consecutive month. Besides that, nothing of note happened on either show.

On Impact, we had our 113th Title Match Overall and 59th for TNA with the World Tag Team Championship Match. This was Daniels & Kazarian’s 1st title defense since defeating Kurt Angle & AJ Styles for the title on the June 28th episode of Impact. That match was also the last time that Kazarian wrestled. This match was also Garett Bischoff’s 1st match since June 10. This week, Miss Tessmacher defeated Gail Kim. This was the 5th time they wrestled each other, making them the most re-matched match for Divas or Knockouts. Also, they became the only match to be re-matched in 5 consecutive months, since they have competed once a month from April to August.

On Smackdown, we had our 2nd Handicap Match of the week, as Jinder Mahal faced 2 Unknown Talents, giving us 129th Gimmick Match of the year and 84th for WWE. Since Mahal’s opponents were not announced and they aren’t listed on WWE.com, they will be known as Unknown Talent #1 and #2 for now, unless their identities are revealed in the future. The World Heavyweight Championship Match was officially a No Contest, therefore that is the result here. It was 114th Title Match of the year and 55th for WWE. It was the 1st time the WWE World Heavyweight Championship was defended on WWE TV since the June 29th Episode of Smackdown. It was also the 1st No Contest on Smackdown since June 1, but 3rd No Contest of the week. It was also the 2nd time that Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio wrestled each other in July & August, adding them to the July-August Re-Match list. The Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Match was Smackdown’s 200th Match of the year. It was also the 2nd week in a row that a match ended by Disqualification on Smackdown. This was also the 4th time that Epico & Primo and The Prime Time Players wrestled each other and the 2nd time this week.

This week, TNA gave us their August Pay-Per-View Hardcore Justice. The Pay-Per-View gave us 3 more Gimmick Matches, with the 3-Way Falls Count Anywhere, 4-Way Tables, & 4-Way Ladder Matches, bringing our total to 132 overall and 48 for TNA. It was the 1st Ladder Match for TNA since Sacrifice in May and was the 1st ever Falls Count Anywhere & Tables Matches for TNA this year. Since D’Angelo Dinero never entered the match, it officially became a 3-Way, therefore he doesn’t get a loss in the standings. We also added 4 title matches to our count, bringing the total to 118 overall and 63 for TNA. Madison Rayne’s defeat of Miss Tessmacher for the Knockout’s Championship was the 19th Title Change of the year and 10th for TNA. This was the 1st time that all of the titles have been defended since July and last month’s Pay-Per-View or the preceding or following Impact. This was the 2nd time this year that the TNA Knockout’s Championship has changed hands. The last time was at the June Pay-Per-View TNA Slammiversary, which was when Miss Tessmacher won the title from Gail Kim. The World Heavyweight Championship Match was the 3rd time in 2 months that Austin Aries wrestled Bobby Roode, as well as the 2nd consecutive month that Zema Ion wrestled Kenny King. This event marked Gunner’s 1st match since the May 24th episode of Impact, where he lost to Rob Van Dam. The same match also gave us Hernandez’s 1st match since June 14 where he lost to Devon on Impact.

Now without further ado, here are the Win-Loss Records for this week, followed by the results of the week that was. Thanks again to Mike for posting it and all of you for reading it. Please send all feedback and comments to my Twitter Account (@hbkid718).
