Busy weekend, with Raw, Smackdown and TNA running a full slate of live events leading into television.
Raw kicks off their run tonight, August 28th at the Wexford County Civic Center in Cadillac, Michigan with Triple H vs. Big Show in a Streetfight.
Raw then runs on Saturday, August 29th at the Perani Arena in Flint, Michigan. Raw runs on Sunday, August 30th at the Valparaiso University Athletics Recreation Center in Valparaiso, Indiana. John Cena and Triple H are advertised for all the house shows this weekend.
Raw broadcasts on Monday, August 31st at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
Smackdown starts their run on Saturday, August 29th at the Ocean City Convention Center in Ocean City, Maryland. Smackdown then runs on Sunday, August 30th at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. CM Punk and Rey Mysterio are the top names advertised, but with Mysterio's impending suspension, I imagine he won't be on the shows. Undertaker and Jeff Hardy are NOT listed for these shows.
Smackdown has a Monday house show on August 31st at the Canton Memorial Civic Center in Canton, Ohio with CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho advertised as the main event.
Smackdown and ECW tape on Tuesday, September 1st at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio with an advertised appearance by The Undertaker, Big Show & Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio & Great Khali and a dark match main event of DX vs. Legacy in a steel cage. I would expect Mysterio on this show, to drop the IC Title, but the tag match may not happen.
TNA starts their run tonight, August 28th at the San Angelo Coliseum in San Angelo, Texas with the following matches advertised:
- TNA World Champion Kurt Angle vs. Abyss.
- Team 3D vs. The British Invasion in a Tables Match.
- Bobby Lashley vs. Eric Young.
TNA then runs on Saturday, August 29th at the Taylor County Expo Center in Abilene, Texas with these matches:
- Kurt Angle & The British Invasion vs. Team 3D & Abyss.
- Bobby Lashley vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir.
- The Beautiful People vs. Sarita & Hamada.
TNA runs Sunday, August 30th at the Bell County Expo Center in Belton, Texas with this lineup:
- TNA World Champion Kurt Angle vs. Abyss.
- The British Invasion vs. Lethal Consequences.
- Bobby Lashley vs. Eric Young.
Mick Foley will appear on all TNA events this weekend. This also marks Lashley's first set of house shows for TNA.
TNA tapes Impact on August 31st and September 1st at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.
