D-LO BROWN REVEALS THE REASON HE WAS GIVEN FOR HIS WWE RELEASE, WHY HE HASN'T RETURNED TO TNA, RING OF HONOR, AND MORE

By WorldWrestlingInsanity.com on 2009-06-01 13:32:00

Get ready to get down with the Brown all over again. After a long absence, D-Lo Brown has returned to ClubWWI.com for an all new 34 minute edition of "The Lo-Down," his Club audio show.

It's been almost two years since you've gotten the Lo-Down and D-Lo has had plenty going on. From a road agent job with TNA to a brief stint with WWE over to Ring of Honor, with Japan dates the whole time, few men have been as busy as Brown. He joins up once again with James Guttman to discuss a ton of topics from the past few years during his 34 minute ClubWWI.com audio show including: Who Came Up With The Idea For Santino Marella's Unibrow, Santino vs. The Nation of Domination, Ring of Honor's Important Crossroad, Returning To TNA, Returning To The WWE Locker Room For The First Time, UFC vs. WWE, Watching The Rise of The Rock, What ECW Is, Pitching Ideas, Fit Finlay, Between The Ropes, Jerry Lynn, 123 Kid vs. Razor Ramon, and More

Of course, most fans are eager to learn about his thoughts regarding WWE. D-Lo debuted with a bang and that was it. After not being used on TV, he was gone. D-Lo Brown explains it…as best he can.

"I was surprised by my release as well. But the reason given to me was the economy – budget. So, I'll leave it at that. It was just weird for me. Getting a really good reaction at dark matches. Really good reaction when I did do my return. Then it was just a false start of a false start and then creative had nothing. What can you do? I can sit here and place blame, lay blame, but I'm the bigger man and it was my fault. That's just the end of it. That's how I look at it."

D-Lo spoke about his time with WWE including his expectations going in and what he expected to do there – including pitching ideas, Mike Knox in a chest protector, Santino Marella's skills, and more. But the one question that still comes up constantly is TNA. Most fans feel that a guy who leaves WWE is a lock to go to TNA the next week. With a history in Total Nonstop Action, Brown gets that a lot. He tells ClubWWI.com listeners his thoughts on a possible return.

"When I run into people, they're like, "When are you going to TNA? What's going on?" And realistically, I'm enjoying what I'm doing now with Ring of Honor and Japan and that's my focus. It's not an indictment on TNA. I just don't even choose to pursue to go there. Not that I haven't been asked or that I wouldn't be opposed at this moment or the future, but at this moment, I'm enjoying doing what I'm doing. Besides, TNA is full of talent and for me to come in there now, I have to take a spot from someone else and that's not fair. So until situations and circumstances change, I’m just happy doing what I'm doing."

D-Lo goes on to talk about being the "fine wine" of the ROH locker room, Jerry Lynn, Ric Flair, and more. Also, D-Lo Brown joins the crew at Between The Ropes this week for his debut as a broadcast journalist. He speaks about professional interview shows vs. non-professional ones…and how you can tell them apart.
