On his Dad's reaction to the personal nature of the storyline:
"When I did that one promo where I came out, and at the very end I held up the dog collar, I talked to my dad the next day and said, `Did you watch SmackDown last night?' He said, 'Yeah, I almost wished I didn't even watch that %$#@.' It put me in a bad mood,' but then he said he should know better, and he's been around it a long time, and he knows what the deal is. He's cool. He's rolling with it and enjoying it.''
On his match with Jeff today:
"It's been real cool to get to work against Jeff, especially on this level. They better try to hold us back as much as they can because you put us out there with so much time, and nobody is going to touch us."
On why Jeff's dog Jack was put into the storyline:
"This is one thing Jeff and I said. Jack, which is Jeff's beloved dog who died in the house fire [at Jeff's home], actually became a character in the story, and now he's famous almost, and that's one thing Jeff really digs. Jeff's got all these cool pictures of Jack. Now everyone knows Jack and remembers Jack.''
