THE LEGACY: RANDY ORTON'S FUTURE?

By Buck Woodward on 2008-12-30 11:05:07

In recent weeks, WWE has been pushing The Legacy, a new heel stable led by third-generation wrestler Randy Orton and featuring second-generation wrestlers Cody Rhodes, Sim Snuka and Manu.  A good portion of recent episodes of Raw has centered around the formation of the group, including last night where Rhodes, Snuka and Manu had to win matches to show Orton they belonged in the group.  Only Manu lost, leaving his status with the group in question.

There are varying opinions on what the future of The Legacy should be.  Some feel it is a solid concept, with Orton, an established main eventer, giving "the rub" to the group of mid-card talent.  On the flip side, others feel now is not the time for Orton to be associating himself with those who are lower on the WWE Totem Pole at this point. Still others approve of the concept of the Legacy, but would prefer to see different second-generation stars, like Carlito, Primo, DH Smith or Ted DiBiase (who was taken out at the start of this storyline by Orton) in the group instead of some of the current members.  This leads to today's poll question:

Should WWE continue with the Legacy?

Yes, I like the idea of having Randy Orton lead a stable of second-generation wrestlers.
No, the stable isn't on Orton's level and is holding him back.
I like the idea of the Legacy, but I would change some of the members.
