ECW head writer Dave Lagana was let go today by World Wrestling Entertainment. I don't know much more beyond that he was informed today and word began making way to the wrestlers this evening.
There's no clear cut word over who, if anyone, will be replacing him, or if the Smackdown creative team will simply take over the ECW brand completely, which might make the most sense.
Lagana replaced Paul Heyman as the head ECW writer in December 2006 and had worked for the company since 2002. Prior to his WWE run, he worked on Friends as well as several other series.
