TNA TO HOLD FIRST UK LIVE EVENTS THIS SUMMER, UPDATES ON AGAINST ALL ODDS PPV, FIRST COMPANY DRUG TESTING AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2008-01-25 04:06:50

TNA held their first round of drug testing at Tuesday's TV taping in Orlando, Florida.  The testing will be baseline tests similar to what World Wrestling Entertainment did upon instituting their Wellness Policy.  TNA President Dixie Carter and other staff members took the tests alongside the company roster as apparently it's going to be a company-wide umbrella, not just a test limited to in-ring performers.

TNA will run their first European house shows this June in Great Britain, according to the London Sun.  An official announcement will be made shortly with live events scheduled for Liverpool, Coventry and Essex.  British promoter Alex Shane (FWA) will be handling the local promotion.  Shane promoted Ring of Honor's British shows in the past.  Thanks to Phil Lowe.

TNA is working on the editing for the Global Impact DVD, which they hope to have out by March or April.  Kevin Sullivan from the TNA production staff (not to be confused with the wrestler/booker of the same name) was the brainchild for the one hour Global Impact presentation and handled the editing for the show, which was, in my opinion, the best hour of TNA television in the history of the company.

The current announced lineup for the 2/10 Against All Odds PPV in Greenville, SC features:

*TNA champ Kurt Angle vs. Christian Cage
*TNA Tag Team champs AJ Styles & Tomko vs. BG James and Bob Armstrong
*TNA Women's champ Awesome Kong vs. ODB
*Abyss vs. Judas Mesias - Barbed Wire Massacre (already taped and will be inserted into the PPV)
*Team 3D & Johnny Devine vs. The Motor City Machineguns and Jay Lethal - Hardcore Street Fight
*Booker T vs. Robert Roode
*Eric Young vs. James Storm for the "Drinking championship"

Lance Hoyt popped up on the first few episodes of "The Bussey Bunch" reality series on TLC, but was never acknowledged as a TNA wrestler, instead being presented as a star in the family's local Texas promotion, PCW with the ring name Shadow.  They previewed a scene for a future episode where Hoyt tries to pick up the promoter's cute daughter.

The Daily Press in Virginia covered TNA's decision to hold the Destination X PPV in Norfolk at the Scope Arena at this link.

Kaz will be appearing for Booker T's PWA promotion on in Pasadena, Texas on 2/16.  2 Cold Scorpio is also scheduled to appear.  For ticket information, visit www.BookerTOnline.com.

Traci Brooks will appear for Marion, Indiana's EWF on 3/15.
