Jack Evans has been pulled from this weekend's Ring of Honor events in Chicago and Dayton as he suffered a fractured cheekbone working for Dragon Gate in Japan. Evans is back home in the United States and actually offered to work hurt, but ROH management felt it was safer to keep him out of the ring. I can't imagine flying for 15 hours with an injury like that. Evans posted on his MySpace website, "Thank god I broke my face - I almost had to wrestle in Chicago!!!!
The Briscoes, Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli as well as former ROH regular Doug Williams (there's a guy I wish would work more in the United States) are slated for the next tour of Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan next month, so they will miss the Sixth Anniversary show as it coincides with the tour.
The revised lineup for ROH this Friday in Dayton, Ohio features:
*ROH champ Nigel McGuinness vs. Chris Hero - Steel Cage Match
*FIP champ Erick Stevens vs. Austin Aries vs. Davey Richards
*Bryan Danielson vs. Tyler Black
*Jimmy Jacobs & mystery partner Lacey vs. Roderick Strong & Rocky Romero
*BJ Whitmer & Brent Albright vs. Delirious & El Generico - No DQ
*The Briscoes vs. Ruckus & Jigsaw
*Daizee Haze vs. Lacey
*Claudio Castagnoli vs. Adam Pearce
