ROH finished production and voiceovers for their March 2008 "Rising Above" PPV over the weekend, which will be headlined by Bryan Danielson vs. Takeshi Morishima and an excellent Austin Aries vs. Nigel McGuinness match for the ROH title.
Ring of Honor's promotional partnership with The Smashing Pumpkins was picked up and mentioned by Rolling Stone's website as well as music website Blabbermouth.net, so the company has already gotten some exposure online from it.
ROH champion Nigel McGuinness retained his title against Go Shiozaki at yesterday's Pro Wrestling NOAH event in Japan.
Chris Hero's knee injury was diagnosed as a torn MCL. He'll be wearing a brace to protect his knee but won't require surgery. It's expected to heal within two months, barring another injury.
Austin Aries will be doing a Q&A Session with the live audience while Ring of Honor sets up for the steel cage main event this Friday 1/25 in Dayton, Ohio between McGuinness and Hero.
ROH is teasing it will announce several new names that will be debuting shortly later this week.
