WWE NOTES & NEWS ON WRESTLEMANIA 24, CANDICE MICHELLE, THE ROYAL RUMBLE, SID VICIOUS & MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2008-01-21 07:34:50

The Orlando Sentinel presented "24 Questions" about Wrestlemania 24 today, which you can check out at this link.  For those of you heading into Orlando for that weekend, WWE will set up their AXXESS event for free the entire week, plus Ring of Honor will be running live events on Friday and Saturday.  Saturday will also be the 2008 WWE Hall of Fame ceremonies.

Candice Michelle will be featuring on L.A. Ink on TLC this Tuesday at 10 PM Eastern.

As part of The Royal Rumble festivities, the Elite section of PWInsider.com will feature audio retrospectives of all previous Rumble events every day this week.  For information on subscribing to PWInsider.com, click here.

The Game Plan starring Dwayne "The Rock" will be released on DVD tomorrow.  Walt Disney was so impressed with how easy it was to work with Johnson and how willing he was to promote the film, including appearances on Disney Channel series episodes as a guest star, that they immediately signed him to appear in their remake of Escape from Witch Mountain.

The Houston Chronicle featured an article today on plans for former WWF star Ken Shamrock to face his adopted brother Frank in a MMA fight in the future at this link.

Alex sent the following....Just thought I would let you know that at the Ballpark Bash indy event in Florida over the weekend, which was supposed to feature Tatanka vs. Sid Vicious as the main event, Sid no-showed. The word going around backstage at the show was that he did and supposedly it was because he did not like the airline booked for him. The promoter came to the ring after intermission and let everyone know that Sid no-showed and they switched the match to Tatanka vs. Haku and main event was instead was Demolition vs. Powers of Pain in a reprisal of their 1980s feud.
