There's been a lot of talk in the last few weeks of John Cena being hopefully ready to return to the company in time from his torn pectoral muscle for a role at the company's flagship PPV. I'd be shocked if he wrestled on the show, but they could always use him in a physical role, be it an enforcer or referee. As of this week, creative is hopeful of including him in their plans for the show.
Wrestlemania 24 has moved over 55,000 seats thus far. ÂÂ
The Arizona Republic reported today that Glendale, Arizona's University of Phoenix Stadium has been in discussions with World Wrestling Entertainment about staging the 2010 Wrestlemania 26 event at the retractable dome stadium. The article noted WWE officials had recently toured the facility. PWInsider.com mentioned the possibility a few weeks ago here on the site.
For those wondering about Wrestlemania 25, I've heard Las Vegas and New York City both bandied about as possibilities, but nothing concrete. I'd personally like to see the company bring Wrestlemania to the Superdome in New Orleans as that area could absolutely use the positive financial injection that the company loves to tout a market hosting Wrestlemania receives, but that's just me.
