UPDATES ON POTENTIAL CIVIL LAWSUIT STEMMING FROM NICK HOGAN CAR WRECK

By Mike Johnson on 2007-12-22 12:25:58

The St. Petersburg Times featured an article today on Hulk Hogan's liability in a civil lawsuit brought upon the family of John Graziano, who was injured in Nick Hogan's August car wreck,. as well as the level of responsibility Graziano, 22, had since he didn't wear his seat belt in the car while Nick, 17, was driving.

The article noted Hogan could be liable since it was his car that Nick was driving and because he, as a parent, signed off on Nick's driver's license.  Graziano not wearing his seat belt could be the crux of the Hogans' defense in a civil suit.

Note from Mike: While you are all reading this, I'll jump on a soapbox and point out that I was nearly killed in 2001 from a head-on collision and the only thing that saved my life was the fact I was wearing my seat belt.  So, the moral of the story is here I hope everyone learns from Graziano's error and wears their seat belt, no matter how long or short the ride is.  No one plans to be in a car wreck, but when ten seconds out of your control can change your life forever, so why chance it?  Wear the belt, always.
