What are your thoughts on the booking of the matches for the women of the Judgement Day? My wife and I watch RAW together and we use their matches to clean up dinner or go to the bathroom because we know the match is going to end with a DQ or some other similar finish. Becky and Liv were having a banger, then out come Raquel and Roxy. I get that heel factions are gonna interfere, but does it need to be the same EVERY time?!
I totally understand why you can’t get invested. The booking is so lazy. Yes, heels cheat but when it becomes comedy, it’s time to change things up.
Also, doesn’t it make the babyfaces facing the Judgement Day look like idiots for not being ready for the interference since EVERYONE knows it’s going to happen (except the faces apparently).
Why yes it does! They all know that they will be against the odds so it would make sense to have people watching their backs.
Lastly, do the women carrying gold in the JD not have to defend their titles? The issues with Liv are well documented, but when was the last time Raquel defended the IC title?
I am not 100 percent sure but I think it was against Sol Ruca over two months ago! It’s such lazy booking. I am sensing a theme here.
I get that if a low to mid card talent decides to stay home from Saudi against WWE's orders, they would likely be heavily de-pushed, or even released. If a top main event talent, such as a Punk/Reigns/Cody refuses, what, if any, would the repercussions on that talent be? WWE would want to punish them, for sure, but at the same time they cannot remove their top names from the top angles, especially going into Royal Rumble/Wrestlemania season, where money would definitely be lost if they were not involved in the top matches on the two biggest shows of the year.
My guess is that WWE would appease the top, top names for the exact reasons that you mentioned.
Also, if a low to mid card talent were to get released strictly due to their refusal to travel to an active terrorism zone, would they have any grounds to sue WWE in some way?
I am no lawyer but if I were in that situation? I would absolutely call a lawyer because I think that, at worst, they would pay me to go away. That is some bad publicity that the company wouldn’t want.
