We look at what happened between Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns on Raw.
Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring.
Sami says he has to know. How many of you came to ride or die with the last real good guy? Sami says it is funny and he cannot stop thinking about how Roman came out and said with your track record you won’t be champion by the time Crown Jewel comes around. Sami says he went to his show and defended his title. He survived. Sami says he went to his show and defended his title. He survived. That is what he does. Sami says he used to like people who overlooked him to teach them a lesson. Those days are done as long as he is the champion. No one every overlooks him again. Not any of you. Not any of you in the back. Not Roman Reigns. After Raw, Roman was looking up at him.
Jimmy Uso interrupts and he makes his way to the ring.
Jimmy says Sami was family and an honorary Uce. He is alone tonight and he is going to do everything not to hurt Sami. He mentions 946 and he talks about what they have done. You kicked Roman while I was cuffed to the ropes. Family?
Sami says he understands. He is an honorary Uce. He is family. That doesn’t go away. In a different world, he would be standing side by side with the Bloodline. In this world, he is the WWE champion. He says he figured that Jimmy would understand better.
Jimmy asks why.
Sami says that Jimmy brought him in first and called him an honorary Uce. You were the one who always pulled the trigger when things had to be done.
Jimmy says he did what he had to do.
Sami says that is what he is doing. He is doing what he has to do and what he needs to do to get respect.
Jimmy wants to know what happened to Sami. He says Sami made it personal. You wanted his attention and you got it. Roman was not worrying about 946, he worried about you. Roman told Jimmy that Sami is going to get his ass beat.
Sami asks if Roman really said that and Jimmy says loud and clear. Sami says that is all he wanted. He wanted Roman to take this seriously. He wants 100 percent of Roman. He wants Roman to want to tear his heart out of his chest. He wants Roman to think about him. He tells Jimmy to tell Roman that he will see him then.
Sami starts to leave the ring and he stops on the apron when he sees Nima and Price approaching while Hayes and Montana attack. Keys and Jaida also show up and they continue the attack while Sami stands on the apron.
They want to know what is Sami going to do, and Sami walks away without saying anything.
Jimmy starts to go after 946 when he gets up and Santana with a discus clothesline. Keys with a spine buster.
Sami starts to walk away after Nima and Price take care of Jimmy.
Hayes with Nothin but Net and then they continue to punch and kick Jimmy.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Sami walks in the back. Rey Fenix walks up to him and shakes his head and walks away.
Johnny and Candice show up and want to know if Sami is okay. Johnny says Sami did the right thing because Sami has the biggest match of his career tomorrow. He says they are survivors.
Candice says then Sami can give Johnny his title match.
Sami says he wants to make sure he has the title long enough to give you your match. He says that Rey Fenix walked past and Penta has the briefcase and he thinks they are scheming. He says Johnny deserves a title match and he will talk to Aldis. Sami says he appreciates them both.
Match Number One: Shinsuke Nakamura versus Tama Tonga
They exchange punches and Nakamura with knees. Tama with knees and an elbow. Nakamura with an elbow and Tam with a punch. Nakamura misses a knee and Tam with a double leg take down and punches. Tama with kicks to Nakamura. Tama with more kicks. Nakamura with punches and a knee. Nakamura with forearms in the corner but Tama with punches and an elbow. Tama sends Nakamura into the turnbuckles and Tama runs into elbows. Tama with a running forearm. Tama with a forearm. Tama sends Nakamura into the corner and he connects with kicks. Nakamura with a knee. Tama is sent to the turnbuckle and Nakamura with a running knee to the midsection. Nakamura chokes Tama and kicks him. Nakamura runs into boots but Nakamura grabs them and he puts Tama in the ropes and hits a sliding German suplex. Nakamura sends Tama into the ringside barrier.
Talla with a boot to Nakamura when the referee was not looking.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Nakamura with a flying boot. Nakamura with forearms and knees followed by a sliding boot to the head. Nakamura with kicks to the chest. Tama blocks a kick but Nakamura kicks with the other leg. Nakamura with a full nelson and Tama escapes. Nakamura with an arm trapped German suplex for a near fall. Nakamura misses a boot off the turnbuckles but Nakamura with a kick. Tama with a flatliner. Tama with a suplex and brainbuster for a near fall. Nakamura with forearm and Tama with a head butt. Nakamura with a knee and a spinning heel kick. Nakamura with a reverse exploder Talla gets on the apron to stop Kinshasa. Tama with a rollup for a near fall. Tama with Cutthroat. Kyoki goes after Talla but Talla catches Kyoki and Kyoki lands on the apron. Kyoki with a drop kick to Talla off the apron. Nakamura with Kinshasa for the three count.
Winner: Shinsuke Nakmaura
Jackie is with CM Punk and she asks about this match being so personal.
Punk says this is not as personal for him. He gets to wrap a chair around his fat head. Punk does not like he lost his title to a mediocre midcarder like Sami Zayn because of Kevin. Punk says he has to deal with the ex-girlfriend energy with Kevin. He wins tonight and he goes after his title again.
Gunther makes his way to the ring.
Gunther asks if you believed that he was scared last Friday. He was weirded out by everything that happened. He did a favor by cleaning out that freak show. He proved one thing. Everything he said about Finn Balor is true. His career is hanging by a thread. He is long past his prime. If he had any dignity, he would call it quits tonight. He says he thought his assessment would bruise his ego so he could go back and squeeze out the last potential of his career. Instead, he got friendly with Danhausen, put on a layer of color and played along with all of his bulls***. Gunther says he used to look up to Finn and respect him. You have disgraced this sport. He will give one more chance to walk out here and confront him like a man
Finn makes his way to the ring.
Finn says what you saw last week was what he could tap into. Maybe it is just some paint and some fancy smoke and mirrors. Last week, it was him who stomped you, climbed a ladder, and smashed your ass through a table. It was you who looked like you saw a demon. You want the real Finn Balor, here he is. NO paint, no fancy smoke and mirrors, just him with a demon inside waiting to come out.
Finn throws the first punch but Gunther with a knee. Finn with a forearm and he drops down and that sends Gunther over the top rope to the floor. Finn kicks Gunther from the apron and he goes up top. Gunther press slams Finn. Gunther sets for a power bomb but Finn escapes and hits sling blade and then drop kicks Gunther into the turnbuckles. Finn goes up top again and Gunther rolls to the floor.
Byron is with Fatal Influence.
Jacy stops Brian and Byron corrects her. Jacy says they only speak facts. Tatum and Alexa were champs for two minutes? Charlotte should be happy that Jade took her out. Lainey tells Brennan they should be happy about that. Fallon tells Brendan that they will win the tag titles back and the locker room needs to know that everyone is under their influence.
Match Number Two: B-Fab and Michin versus Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships
Reid and Michin start things off. They lock up and Reid complains about Michin pulling her hair and Reid pulls Michin’s hair. Tey both go for kicks at the same time and they block it. They put their feet down at the same time and tease punches. They shake hands but Michin with a double leg take down and a take down for a near fall. Reid bridges and gets a near fall. Michin with a drop kick. Fab tags in and they hit a series of kicks. Fab gets a near fall. Reid with a lung blower and she sends Fab into the turnbuckles. Fallon tags in and Reid with a knee into the corner and a snap mare. Fallon with a sliding forearm for a near fall. Fallon sends Fab into the turnbuckles. Fab with a back elbow and forearm. Fab with a sliding clothesline for a near fall. Fab kicks Reid off the apron and Fallon with a sleeper. Fab escapes by sending Fallon into the turnbuckles. Fallon with a boot to the head and she knocks Michin off the apron.
Fab with a slap and Fallon with a forearm. Both women go for clotheslines at the same time.
Tatum and Alexa get on the ringside barrier and Alexa with a Molly Go Round onto Jacy while Tatum hits a cross body on Jade.
Tatum and Alexa go into the ring and they go after both teams. The referee calls for the bell.
No Contest
After the match, Jade and Jacy get into the ring. Bayley comes to the ring and Jade with a bicycle kick to Bayley. She sets for Jaded but . . .
Charlotte Flair’s music plays and she has to stop based on the WWE By-Laws.
Flair and Jade exchange forearms. Jade with a kick and she misses s bicycle kick. Flair with a double leg take down and she goes for a figure four but she is hit with a super kick.
Flair, Bayley, Tatum, and Alexa send everyone else to the floor.
Byron is with Kevin Owens.
Kevin asks if Byron saw what happened two weeks ago. Punk tries to act like he is the calm, cool, and collected guy. Maybe the reason why there is conflict everywhere you go, it is because of you. Punk got up and acted like that was beneath him. Kevin says he got under his skin. Kevin says he was at the Performance Center on Wednesday for treatment. Punk had Shawn Michaels tell him he had to leave. Punk fought for the NXT title, a division that is for the future and you are not the future. Kevin says they are almost the past. Everything he does is to send Punk to the past quicker than he would like. He says he will see Phil in the ring.
Byron stops Bayley, Tatum, Alexa, and Charlotte.
Bayley says she will not take disrespect from anyone. Charlotte says if they want to go to war, let’s go to war.
Nick Aldis is in the ring. He wants to talk about the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship Match and he brings out Chelsea Green.
Nick says they have been through a lot and in the past they were not on the same page, but now they are a few times. He says he respects her. He mentions that we have the greatest female roster in the history of the business and he is proud that she is representing this brand and in this match at Crown Jewel. He is proud that she is WWE Champion. Liv came here last week and said that wasn’t the case. He lets Chelsea address Liv’s comments.
Chelsea reminds Nick of when they were in the ring that it does not matter what people say about us, it is what we think about us. Chelsea says she doesn’t always believe in herself. She says she can only take so much. She says she has taken what Liv has said to heart. Her calling her talentless and useless and a placeholder champion. She knows that Liv isn’t the only one saying it. It hurts because sometimes she tells herself that too. She says she shows up to work and she fights the urge to doubt herself every time. She knows a WWE champion shouldn’t admit it, but she does. She looks at the title and wonders if she deserves it.
Nick says that you are the champion and you deserve it.
Green says she knows it, but that is not enough. Does her name belong beside all of the women who held this title before? She wants to belong. She wants to leave a real legacy. She needs to beat Liv to do that. If Liv wins, every thing she said and every thing that Green thought is true. If she wins tomorrow, it isn’t a fluke and she deserves to be here. If she beats Liv at Crown Jewel, she cements her place in history and as a true champion.
Liv Morgan interrupts and she makes her way to the ring.
Liv asks if Chelsea is crying and then she chortles. She says we don’t give participation trophies to people. Who did you beat? No one. Rhea got injured and you got lucky. Do you know why these people support you? It isn’t because you are good. They see themselves in you. A talentless person. If I can be in the right place, I can be a winner too. You are not a champion, you are a charity case. Tomorrow night, I get to prove those little voices in your head true, and come out of the ring as a two time Crown Jewel Champion and the greatest women’s champion of all time.
Byron is with Trick Williams and Lil Yachty.
Byron asks about where his head is at.
Trick says he was expecting to be a double champion and go to face Roman at Crown Jewel. He says he knows it ia a long road to the top. It is not if, but when he becomes champion.
Bryon asks about Damian Priest’s comments.
Yachty says that Trick does not care about any emo goth man.
Trick says he is tired of the disrespect. If anyone has an issue with him, you know where to find him.
Match Number Three: Damian Priest versus Nathan Frazer
Frazer with suicide dives to Priest before the match starts. Frazer with a shooting star press to the back when Priest enters the ring and the referee starts the match. Frazer with a jumping thrust kick. Priest sends Frazer into the corner but Frazer escapes and he connects with punches. Priest with a forearm. Priest with knees and he sends Frazer face first to the mat. Priest sets for South of Heaven. Frazer lands on his feet and he drops down and Priest goes to the floor. Frazer with flying kick and he goes for a suicide dive but Priest side swipes Frazer into the ringside barrier. Priest with a Razor’s Edge onto the announce table.
The referee stops the match.
Winner: Damian Priest (referee stoppage)
After the match, Axiom tries to calm Priest down and Priest sends him into the ring post.
We take a look at the Last Man Standing match.
Match Number Four: Kevin Owens versus CM Punk in a No Holds Barred Match
They throw punches at the start of the match. Punk with an elbow and more punches. Punk with a short arm clothesline and a punch. Kevin with a kick and forearm. Punk with knees. Punk with an Irish whip and a knee into the corner. Punk goes for the bulldog but Kevin escapes. Punk blocks a super kick and Kevin escapes a Go 2 Sleep. Kevin clotheslines Punk over the top rope to the floor. Kevin sends Punk into the announce table. Punk with a knee and he sends Kevin onto the announce table. Punk gets a table but Kevin gets a chair and hits Punk in the ribs and back. Kevin punches Punk and it sends Punk into the crowd. Kevin sends Punk into a phone. Punk hits Kevin with a water bottle. They throw punches as they go around the crowd. Punk throws a wheelchair at Kevin while Kevin hits Punk with a trash can. Kevin sends Punk into the railing.
Kevin sends Punk into a camera. Punk Irish whips Kevin into the railing. Punk punches Kevin and chokes him. Kevin with a kick and he sends Punk into the railing. Kevin rubs Punk’s head against a piece of plexiglass. Punk is caught in the railing and Kevin stands on Punk’s groinal area. Punk reverses an Irish whip and sends Kevin back into the ringside area. Punk with a clothesline off the ringside barrier. Punk grabs the ring steps and he hits Kevin in the head with it. Punk goes for a pile driver onto the ring steps but Kevin escapes and he sweeps the leg and sends Punk’s back onto the steps. Kevin pulls out a table.
Kevin hits Punk with a chair and Kevin gets a second table that he sets up next to the first one. Punk hits Kevin in the ribs and back with the chair. Punk sends Kevin back into the ring and then Punk gets a trash can. Punk tosses the trash can into the ring and it lands next to Kevin. Kevin hits Punk in the head with the trash can. Kevin puts the trash can over Punk and Kevin gets a chair and hits the trash can. Kevin with a cannonball into the trash can. Kevin takes off the trash can. Punk punches Kevin and Kevin hits Punk a few times with the trash can. Kevin goes for a power bomb onto the trash can but Punk counters with a back body drop onto the trash can.
They move tot he floor and exchange forearms in the aisle until Punk gains the advantage. They go to the stage. Kevin with a punch and he sends Punk into his image on the LED. Kevin goes for a pile driver but Punk gets Kevin up and hits a Go 2 Sleep. Punk has a cart and he puts Kevin on it and he wheels Kevin into the apron. They return to the ring and Punk goes up top. Punk with an elbow drop off the turnbuckles for a near fall. Punk punches Kevin and he applies the Anaconda Vice. Kevin rakes the eyes and Kevin bites Punk. Kevin gets a chair and puts it in the turnbuckles. Kevin hits Punk with another chair. Kevin tries to send Punk into the chair in the turnbuckles but when you set up the chair, you take the spot and Kevin is sent into the chair. Punk with a DDT onto a chair for a near fall.
Punk throws many chairs into the ring. He puts a chair on top of Kevin and Punk goes up top. Kevin rolls to the floor. Punk goes to the floor and he hits Kevin with the chair. Punk with a punch. Punk gets on the ringside barrier and sets for an elbow drops onto Kevin on the table. Punk hits the elbow drop and the table collapses. Punk sends Kevin back into the ring. Punk goes under the ring and he looks for something but he cannot find it at first. Punk gets a chain from under the ring. Punk wraps the chain around his knee. Punk signals for the Go 2 Sleeper and he gets Kevin up. Kevin blocks it and Kevin with a head butt and a kick. Punk blocks a stunner and Kevin with a super kick. Kevin with a swanton for a near fall.
Kevin hits Punk in the back with a chair while he sets up a number of chairs. Kevin chokes Punk with the edge of a chair. Kevin puts Punk on the turnbuckles and Kevin with a chop. Kevin sets for a superplex onto the chairs but Punk blocks him. Punk with punches and a head butt to send Kevin to the mat. Punk goes to the floor and Punk with a leg sweep to send Kevin onto the apron. Kevin sends Punk into the ring post and he connects with a forearm to send Punk onto the table. Kevin goes up top and he sets for a swanton but Punk gets back into the ring and he punches Kevin. They exchange punches. Punk with a kick to the head. Punk press slams Kevin onto the row of chairs and Punk gets a near fall. Punk sets for a Go 2 Sleep on the apron and Kevin escapes. Kevin with a fisherman’s buster off the apron through the tables. Kevin sends Punk back into the ring. Kevin with a kick and stunner for a near fall. Kevin puts the chair leg into Punk’s face. Kevin stands over the chain and he wraps it around his fist. Kevin swings and Punk hits Go 2 Sleep but Kevin bounces off the ropes and punches Punk and falls on top for the three count.
Winner: Kevin Owens
