During an appearance on Stephanie McMahon's podcast, Rey Mysterio announced the 2026 Survivor Series will feature a classic 5 vs. 5 Elimination Tag Team bout, featuring Team Mexico vs. Team USA.
Mysterio stated (obviously going into storyline mode here) that he had spoken to Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis, implying there would be Raw and Smackdown stars involved. One would think there would also be AAA talents.
Survivor Series is set for 11/28 in Houston, Texas, the 40th anniversary of what was WWE's second-ever PPV franchise after Wrestlemania. The original concept was all five vs. five elimination matches but within a few years, that had changed to 4 vs. 4 before WWE mostly moved away from that concept.
