SIRIUSXM CEO PRAISES WWE RADIO LISTENERSHIP GROWTH

By Mike Johnson on 2026-10-29 11:03:00

SiriusXM released their latest earnings today and during a stockholders' call discussing the quarter, SiriusXM CEO Jennifer Witz brought up that WWE Radio has seen a 20% growth in listenership since Sirius partnered with WWE and rebranding their pro wrestling channel in July.

Witz commented, "Sports is another powerful driver of fandom. Uniting passionate communities around live programming and hometown teams. Listening to WWE Radio has grown nearly 20% since its July launch and rebrand.  While monthly active sports listeners increased 4% year over year across our connected car and streaming platforms. Among 360L subscribers, average time spent listening to sports grew 7% year over year, demonstrating deeper engagement."

The WWE Radio channel is anchored by Busted Open, hosted by Dave LaGrega, who personally powered that series from a daily broadcast into a full-fledged pro wrestling channel, which led to SiriusXM approaching WWE about the current relationship.  LaGreca's work on the station also led to new career opportunities for Bubba Ray Dudley/Bully Ray, Nic Nemeth, Tommy Dreamer, Mark Henry and more as they joined the rotating cast of hosts on the Busted Open series.

The WWE Radio channel also features WWE podcasts and live broadcasts of WWE events voiced by NXT's Vic Joseph and Booker T.
