AEW's Orange Cassidy appeared this morning on Show Me St. Louis on NBC affiliate KDSK to promote AEW's Fright Night event tomorrow at the Chaifetz Arena.
Introduced as one of the company's most unique stars, Cassidy taked about how the local meteorologist probably gets blamed for bad weather (he was following the weather update) and then explained there is nothing else like witnessing professional wrestling live. He said it's a mix of magic, Broadway, sports and a fashion show live combined. He said he never knows what's going to happen and he's there every week.
One of the hosts said he's known for being unpredictable. He said he puts his hands in his pockets and tries to kick ass. He said he's predictable but around unpredictable people. They noted what he does plays into the fanfare that the audience loves.
Cassidy said he saw wrestling on TV, thought he could do it and built a ring in his backyard. He was hooked after he went to his first live show. He would wrestle friends and neighbors in his backyard.
When asked about the importance of the show tomorrow, he said Fright Night will feature some weird stuff, possibly ghouls and goblins. There will be a minimum of four hours of pro wrestling, so fans will get their money's worth.
