The following was announced today:
Revolution announces tour with Dragon Gate Pro-Wrestling
Two members of the Revolution family are headed to Japan as a champion returns for his third tour and one of our top students prepares for his international debut.
Pro Wrestling Revolution is proud to announce that “El Rey de las Pesadillas” El Cucuy and “El Terror de la Paja” El Espantapajaro will be heading to Japan to work with our partners at Dragon Gate Pro-Wrestling for the remainder of 2026!
Based in Japan, Dragon Gate is recognized for its fast-paced, high-impact wrestling, spectacular athleticism, and exciting blend of international wrestling styles. Pro Wrestling Revolution, founded in 2008, has spent years showcasing the art of lucha libre while developing talent and creating opportunities for wrestlers to compete on the international stage.
Our relationship with Dragon Gate represents exactly what we work toward: building connections, developing talent, and creating opportunities for our wrestlers to prove themselves around the world.
EL REY DE LAS PESADILLAS — EL CUCUY
For El Cucuy, this marks his third trip to Japan to compete for Dragon Gate Pro-Wrestling, another important milestone in an already impressive international journey.
A graduate of the Pro Wrestling Revolution Training Academy, Cucuy has represented our organization in Costa Rica, Dubai, and Japan, gaining valuable experience and showcasing his talent on an international stage.
He currently stands as the Pro Wrestling Revolution World OpenWeight Champion and is also one-third of the Pro Wrestling Revolution Trios Champions.
We could not be prouder of how far Cucuy has come. Watching a graduate of our academy continue to grow, represent our company around the world, and reach new heights in his career is exactly why we do what we do. We look forward to seeing what this next chapter brings for El Rey de las Pesadillas.
EL TERROR DE LA PAJA — EL ESPANTAPAJARO
Joining Cucuy on this journey is one of our top students, El Espantapajaro, who will be making his first-ever trip to Japan!
When El Espantapajaro first came to Pro Wrestling Revolution, he was eager to try his hand at lucha libre. Coming from a solid background in JUCO football, he brought a competitive mindset, physical intensity, and a willingness to work to everything he did inside the ring.
But talent alone does not get you to this level. It takes discipline, consistency, sacrifice, and a commitment to improving every single day. At times, El Espantapajaro has trained five days a week, putting in the work and dedicating himself to becoming the best wrestler he can be.
Now, that dedication is opening a new door.
We are incredibly proud of both El Cucuy and El Espantapajaro as they take this next step in their careers and represent Pro Wrestling Revolution in Japan. From Cucuy returning for his third tour with Dragon Gate to Espantapajaro earning his first international opportunity, their journeys reflect the hard work, discipline, and dedication we strive to instill in every student. Their progress is a reminder of what is possible when talent meets commitment, and we cannot wait to see them represent the Revolution family on an international stage.
BUILDING OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH LUCHA LIBRE
At Pro Wrestling Revolution, we work hard to give our talent the tools, training, and opportunities to succeed. We believe in developing wrestlers not only for our own shows, but also for the chance to represent lucha libre and our organization around the world.
Seeing Cucuy return to Japan for the third time and Espantapajaro earn his first opportunity to compete there makes us incredibly proud. Their journeys are different, but both reflect the progress, commitment, and dedication we strive to build every day at our Training Academy.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our partners at Dragon Gate Pro-Wrestling for their continued trust, support, and partnership. We are grateful for the opportunities they provide our talent and look forward to continuing to build together.
