I just bought my daughter a Penta Funko Pop for Christmas.  He clearly made a great career choice by going to WWE.  What did AEW miss with him?

I think AEW appreciated him for his greatness.  It’s just that in AEW the focus is almost entirely on the in-ring work and the personalities and charisma are secondary, if that.  So, he was another cog in the machine of people who we also having strong matches.

Or what did WWE do differently? Or did Penta really step it up?  Anyway, good for him.

WWE saw his charisma and have let him connect with the crowd.  They focus on that to a much greater degree than AEW does.  I haven’t seen any change in Penta, he’s always been great.  It’s just now he is able to be a fully rounded pro wrestler.

Aside from the fact that it's dangerous to travel or be in Saudi Arabia at this time, WWE may not get the attendance at Crown Jewel that they would normally get as persons outside the country may not travel to attend the show and even those within the country may not risk attending such an event at this time.

The US is telling people to go home.  WWE is saying “Let’s send our people there!”  It’s insane to me.  There is no way I would go, whether it was if I were an employee, a wrestler or a fan.  The Houthis don’t mess around.

So even from a business sense, does it not make sense for WWE to move the event?

No, because The Saudi government pays WWE for the event.  They get paid if no one is in the crowd.  I believe them not wanting to lose out on that money is the reason that they are sending their talent there.  I find it sickening.

The US government has already issued travel warnings. What more will it take for WWE to yield to common sense?

At this point?  I have no idea as they should have canceled it already.

And do the wrestlers not have a say?

Guys at the top probably could get away with saying no and not face real repercussions.  The talent under them?  Probably not.

What if they all came together and refused to go?

I don’t see it happening but if it did, it would be AWESOME!
