10/23 TNA XPLOSION REPORT

By Mike Johnson on 2026-10-23 12:33:00

Welcome to this week's TNA Xplosion report!

Destination X 2012 - Greg Marisciulo vs Rubix vs Rockstar Spud

Spud won the British Bootcamp and is making his first TV appearance for TNA since then, while Marisciulo is the former Trent Baretta, as the fans remind us by chanting his old name. Well, at least he wasn't Husky Harris. Spud plays the guy who's afraid to lock up with either opponent and spends much of the match outside and letting the other two go at it. He looks really tiny when he is in there next to the other two. He finally dodges a charge from Rubix and dishes out some offense, but Marsciulo is the former WWE wrestler and, by laws of physics, will look awesomer than anyone TNA has. He does hit an awesome dive to the floor onto Spud but gets drilled with a shot from Rubix. Spud tosses Rubix to the floor and steals the cover, but Marsciulo is out at 2 and Spud wastes way too much time screwing around making faces at the fans and allows Marsciulo to get up, hit him with the Jig & Tonic (which also happens to be Rubix's finish) for the win.

Your winner, Greg Marsciulo!

TNA Impact 10/22/26 - TNA Internationa; Champion Jason Hotch vs. Mustafa Ali - Two Out Of Three Falls.

The first fall started with a feeling out process as they each tried to out-think and out-wrestle the other.  Ali tossed Hotch out of the ring but the champ stopped himself and returned with a springboard kick, sending Ali off the apron to the floor.  Hotch followed to the floor and drilled him with hard chops.  They battled on the floor.  Hotch slammed him into the ring steps face-first.  They battled on the apron, where Ali caught Hotch trying for a move and nailed a German suplex on the apron.  Ali controlled the ring for a long time, but wasn't able to secure the pinfall.   Ali finally scored it.

Ali 1, Hotch 0.

Hotch battled back in the second fall and hit a dive to the outside.  He slammed Ali's face into the apron over and over.  Ali grabbed the International title and smacked Hotch with it.  The referee called for a DQ.

They are now tied at one fall each.

The final fall began.  Ali maintained control and whipped Hotch with a belt while the referee was down.  Hotch finally blocked it and drilled Ali.  He grabbed the belt and began lashing Ali, chasing him to the floor.  Ali sent him face-first into the ring post.  They battled over a superplex to the floor.  Ali was knocked to the floor.  Hotch went to dive out but was superkicked as he came down.  Ali was caught with a Standing Spanish Fly for a two count.  Ali and Hotch began slugging it out.  Ali scored with a dropkick to the head.  Hotch responded with a boot to the face.  Ali nailed a belly to belly and went to the top for a double stomp.  Hotch avoided it and hit an overhead suplex into the buckles.  Hotch nailed a GTS variation and scored the pin.

Your winner and still TNA International Champion, Jason Hotch!

Jason Hotch winning was the #1 Don West Trending Topic this week.

Destination X 2005 - Abyss vs. Jeff Hardy - Falls Count Anywhere

Abyss tried to hit Hardy with a chair but was stopped. He went for Shock Treatment but Hardy escsaped. Hardy hit a dive out of the ring off a chair. They brawled backstage into an area where TNA had catering set up. Abyss set up a table. Hardy attacked him but was taken out. Abyss set up a second table. Hardy threw Abyss into a wall and slammed his head into it. Hardy ascended a steel girder and hit a swanton off of it, through the tables. He got a two count for his efforts. Abyss slammed Hardy into a metal gate. They brawled back into the building. Abyss threw Hardy into the rear of the bleachers of the bleachers then crotches him on the guard rail. He throws Hardy into the ring and brings in a pair of chairs. He placed one over Hardy and hit a big splash off the ropes. He gets a near fall. Hardy clobbers him with several chair shots for a near fall. Hardy began looking for something under the ring, finally grabbing a ladder. Hardy set up the ladder and climbed it. Hardy took Abyss down then hit a leapfrog over the ladder to a legdrop for a two count. Hardy went for the Twist of Fate but Abyss hit Shock Treatment for a two count. Hardy shoved Abyss into a chair that was set between two turnbuckles, and rolled him up for a near fall. Hardy went to the top but was crotched. Abyss pulled a table from under the ring. Abyss set the table up as Hardy struggled to recover. He put Hardy on the table and climbed the ropes. Hardy cut him off and went for a top rope hurrancanrana but was caught and Abyss hit a top rope powerbomb. Abyss tore up his elbow during the spot. Hardy tried to fight back and hit the twist of fate on the ladder for the pin.

Your winner, Jeff Hardy!

Home Town Man vs. Thomas Heim

Kazarian joined Tom Hannifan on commentary.

HTM grabbed a side headlock but was sent into the ropes and shoulderblocked down.  Undaunted, he caught Heim with a hiptoss and stomped away at him in the corner.  HTM nailed a hip attack.  He rained down with punches in the corner.  He sent Heim into the ropes and nailed him with a series of punches to the head there as well.  The crowd was enjoying counting along.   Heim took him down.  The announcers bantered about how neither of them knew the name of the referee and wondered if he worked for Foot Locker.  Heim choked HTM against the ropes.  He nailed a backbreaker across the knee and drilled an elbow to the back for a two count.   HTM made a comeback and scored several bodyslams and an elbow.  He nailed an Airplane spin into a TKO for a two count.   Heim made a comeback and scored a two count after an F5.  He wasn't happy the referee (alleged referee, apparently) only scored a two count.  He caught HTM going to the top and went for a superplex but was knocked off into the ring.  HTM nailed a bodypress and scored the pinfall.

Your winner, The Home Town Man.
