What happened to EC3 in TNA? Was he only under a short-term deal with the company?
I don't know that he ever signed a deal. He made the one appearance and was then out touring and got pretty banged up. There was also a big creative change since then, so my guess is it's all in f
With all the rejection this rumored Punk vs Cody Mainia Night 1 Main Event is getting, especially with fans/analysts throwing suggest suggestions like Randy winning 15 or Pulling the trigger on Bron, do you think this was just WWE getting a gauge on fans reaction to a potential SummerSlam rematch or maybe a Red Herring so HHH can “surprise” us and rub our faces in it the next season of unreal? Because Randy winning or defending 15 in front of a crowd that worships him and are dropping 150M, seems like the most logical option for a Night 1 Main Event IMO. What’s your thoughts?
WWE didn't put anything out to see the reaction. They could do private focus groups if they wanted that sort of feedback. I also don't know what rejection you are talking about - social media? You can't put any stock in that, nor can you assume any match, except perhaps Roman Reigns vs. Oba Femi, is locked in stone for Wrestlemania. Night One of Wrestlemania 41, a top WWE exec told me the plan for 42 was Cody vs. Punk "if we can get there." Those words should always be included in booking plans, because it only takes an injury, something unforseen or a better idea to change even the best laid out plans. WWE is like SNL, until it is live in the moment, anything can happen.
Who was the Samoan Savage in WCW?
Tama aka The Tonga Kid.
When I was a kid, WWF would push fans to write in to Mathilda the Bulldog when she was kidnapped or to Hulk Hogan when Earthquake beat him up. Obvously, these were works, so what was the point of having kids like me write letters?
It was their way to get you on their mailing address list, so you could be sent merchandise catalogs and so forth.
As a kid, I used to call a 900 line to get wrestling news from a Coach Kurt. Whatever happened to him?
That was Coach Kurt Schneider, who had a 976 line (not a 900 one) produced by Detroit Sports Phone, which was a company that handled different hotlines you could call for weather, movie times, news, etc. He wrote a weekly column for Daily Tribune.in Michigan was also involved in the local independent scene in the Motor City area. He passed away in 2018.
