WWE's first-ever Microdrama Agent of Shadows is now streaming on Reelshort.
For the uninitiated, a microdrama is a short-form scripted drama designed to tell a story in very small chunks, usually through bite-sized episodes that last anywhere from 1 to 3 minutes. The idea is basically to appeal to the younger Tik Tok/social media type audience. The format has gained a lot of steam internationally in recent years, particularly in China. For Agent of Shadows, there are 72 episodes.
The plot - "The world's greatest secret agent must protect and care for his six-year-old daughter while posing as her nanny. Now, without revealing his true identity, he must win his daughter's (and her mother's) trust, while secretly thwarting corrupt suitors, mafioso strongmen, and even a megalomaniacal billionaire who's using his family to get to him."
Michael Hayes, Drew McIntyre, Jacob Fatu, Nikkita Lyons, Joe Hendry, Ethan Page and Booker T are among those appearing over the course of the story. We are told that those on both the Reelshort and WWE sides worked hard to slip easter eggs in for the WWE audience, including Booker T's crown from his King Booker run and Drew using one of his actual swords from his ring entrance.
