ALLIE KATCH, SLOANE JACOBS, MARCUS MATHERS & MORE: 10/12 WRESTLING OPEN LIVE REPORT FROM CRANSTON, RHODE ISLAND

By Adam Cardoza on 2026-10-16 08:03:00

Wrestling Open RI

10/12/26 Cranston, RI

Match 1: Kylie Alexa, Sloane Jacobs & Paris Van Dale vs Allie Katch, Shannon LaVangie & Liviyah

These six women in this match but a 7th one is the biggest question: Why did Sammi Chaos help Kylie Alexa retain her title last week? Will that be a factor this Thursday when Allie Katch takes her shot at the gold? Match is good. Kylie picks her shots carefully, blindsiding Katch and getting her in the corner for a solid work over with her teammates. Liviyah with the hot tag sets up the final sequence of big moves all around. Allie finally nails Paris Van Dale with a piledriver and gets the three. But…she didn’t pin the champ.

Liv on the mic puts over Allie. She wanted to be the one to dethrone Kylie but she knows Katch can get it done. But for herself? Next Monday, she wants revenge on Sammi Chaos!

Match 2:  Vinnie Scalise (w/ Bryce Donovan) vs All Go Nelli

Poor Nelli. Already in the ring. No entrance. He’s doomed…even against the smallest member of the Verdict. Nelli hits the gas immediately and runs right into Scalise. Vinnie tortures the kid for a while, as Bryce eggs him on. Nelli has a moment of hope with a ddt…takes too long…Vinny crushes him with a dude buster for the win.

And then we have to listen to Bryce on the mic. Open RI belongs to the Verdict…and “tonight, we are taking what we want”.

Match 3: Jermaine Marbury (w/ Benny the Basketball) vs Jordan Cruz

Cruz was previously in the Discovery Gauntlet and looking to make an impact in his Cranston debut. He puts a good beating on Marbury, never really letting up….but a juke and a cutter later, Jermaine gets the three. Not tonight, Cruz. Sloane Jacobs was on commentary and feeling somewhat under appreciated by Wrestling Open officials, arguing with Paul Crocker for most of the match. That’s not how you get title shots. You gotta go on Facebook and complain. I saw that on a t shirt somewhere.

Devin Reno is getting interviewing and still mad about how his title victory against Bear Bronson got overturned due to cheating. Cranston calls him bald. Reno is getting his belt but on HIS TIME. Bronson has two weeks before they fight amid exposed steel.

Match 4: Bobby Casale vs “Astonishing” Anthony Vecchio

Vecchio continues to try and stake his spot as a Monday Night Ambassador at the expense of our tag team champ. Vecchio seeming more reticent to fight and spends a lot of the opening on the floor trying to bait the crowd. Casale looking great until Anthony pokes the eye. Vecchio on the attack until he makes the mistake of chopping up Casale’s chest. Casale tosses Vecchio around, almost ending things with a sitout bomb. Vacchio rallies with a sitout slam and a sleeper hold….Casale powers Vecchio up and hits a Bobbinator! This should be the end…but the Verdict runs down to distract the ref. Bryce Donovan cracks Bobby with the tag team title belt….Vecchio makes the cover and gets the three.

The Verdict left with Bobby. Bryce hits a chokeslam as Vinnie holds the belt up high. They are next in line…and they are coming for the titles NEXT WEEK.

Match 5: Rain Conway vs Aaron Rourke

The crowd is very much BEHIND Rain’s schtick…but that doesn’t mean we’re booing the Dimepiece. Conway has been in a ton of big matches recently and while Rourke has him beaten up early…Conway is getting good at weathering these early storms and starting to take control with some pure grappling skill. Rourke hits a pair of backbreakers and a powerbomb for two. Kickout! The dog is still barking! Fisherman’s suplex! Conway’s ankle gives out and Rourke escapes! Conway tries an ankle lock but Rourke rolls it through to a standing deathlock for the submission!

Main Event: Dustin Waller & Marcus Mathers vs Ryan O’Neill & Bobby Orlando

O’Neill has been on the injured list for a couple of weeks so this has been BREWING.  He has plenty to prove against Waller but he’s looking for revenge against Marcus after his friend’s betrayal. Unfortunately, it’s Orlando who gets trapped in the bad part of town with Mathers and Waller. Orlando hits a neckbreaker and gets to Ryan! Mathers eating a ton of offense on Mathers, just dropping bombs into his head. Waller with a blind tag and a shooting star…Orlando makes the save…but it leaves him open for more double teaming. Orlando with a reversal to a double suplex! Tag to O’Neill again as the match starts to break down into a 4-way brawl. Bigger moves start dropping bodies as the crowd chants this is awesome.  Mathers gets baited into wiping out Waller with a kick. Double superkick to Marcus! O’Neill hits a stunner! He goes to the top but Waller shoves him down…Mathers rolls him up and pulls the tights hard to get the three. Boooooo!
