How is Carmelo Hayes, a guy that they have told us many times is from Boston, part of the 946 “family”? I only see one thing that they have in common.
I only see one thing in common too. I hope they have a really good story for this because as you said, there is not natural connection between a guy from Boston and a west coast gang.
I know the booking in WWE has been on a downslide and deserves all the criticism it gets; but can anyone honestly say after the last few weeks and especially this weekend that Penta would be better off in AEW? When he came down the aisle with the briefcase, he looked like an absolute star. He has a top guy vibe, in every area. Thoughts?
In my MITB blog over the weekend I said he comes across as a rock star so I totally agree with you. I don’t think it’s so much what they have done with him as what he has done with himself. He has an aura too him that the fans gravitate to.
That was some serious bullshit with Chelsea Green. Absolute head scratcher. Roxanne rarely wins, and they decide to put her over the Women's Champion. I don't care about the interference ( same shit every week with JD ), there is no world where Roxanne should have won that match. Chelsea is the champ. She should have bitch slapped the living shit out of Roxanne as soon as she started chest bumping, I mean, pushed her forehead into Chelsea's sternum. What say you?
I agree 100 percent. Chelsea needs to be booked stronger given she was a comedy character and won the Title by climbing a ladder. It seems like they are doing the exact opposite with her. I love Roxanne and I think they have underutilized her, but that was not what I wanted to see last night.
Chad Gable is an absolute stud. I hope WWE knows (finally) what they have with him. He could go out there missing 3 limbs with an oxygen tank and have a great match. And they can run back Gable/Fenix anytime they want. That was a PLE quality match.
He is an awesome professional wrestler in that right and has been for a long time now. I think the braintrust finally gets that.
The main event over-delivered to me; from the 946 entrance through the crowd with no music, to everything in-between and the addition of Carmelo Hayes at the end. I was glued to the screen, 100% invested and didn’t want to miss any of it. I hope this momentum continues. What did you think? Likes/dislikes?
The presentation is what it should have been given all that they have done so far. I still don’t get how Royce Keys is the heel for wanting revenge for what The Bloodline did to him, but that is WWE booking in 2026. The one positive is that it will make sense when these guys end up in the cage at War Games. They have built the stakes up in a big way. As for Hayes, as I said about I don’t see how he fits other than the obvious. I hope they give us a better story than that.
