Adam Pearce joins Nick Aldis in the office and they talk about the stakes for Smackdown.
Trick Williams says he has unfinished business with the Ginger Bread Man.
Bron Breakker shows up and he thanks Adam and Nick for wasting his time.
Trick wants to know why Bron is interrupting him.
Lil Yachty tells Bron this is the blue brand and he says that Trick is going to win the match on Saturday.
Adam has an idea for a match between Bron and Trick, unless Nick doesn’t think his guy can’t go.
Trick says he is good.
CM Punk makes his way to the ring.
Punk says he cannot remember the last time he is here so he asks if it is great to be alive on a Friday in Lafayette. Punk says there is some furniture in the ring. Up the road in New Orleans, we have Money in the Bank with the briefcases above the ring. People are asking him why is he subjecting himself to this type of match and what can happen. Punk says in 2008 and 2009, he won Money in the Bank and he earned a title shot. We know the results and he cashed in both times. He is 47, middle aged, and crazy so why not him. Why is he doing this? He says he has the chance to make history. Punk says he makes history. He has the chance to become the only three time Money in the Bank winner. People say that he can’t do it and he tells the people of Louisiana to watch him.
It won’t be a cake walk. He says the participants are tougher than the current champion. HE has some people he hasn’t locked up with yet. He says Je’Von is fast, young, talented, and bouncy. He does things that he has never seen do. There is Penta. The man without fear. There is Trick Williams. He is super athletic, super talented and super full of himself, but he can back it up. He has gone toe to toe with Bron Beakker. Punk says he was told that Kevin Owens is in the match and he is not worried about him.
Kevin’s music plays and Punk says he got to beat Kevin in front of his mom in Toronto and that was cool. Punk tells Kevin to take his time.
Kevin asks Punk if he wants him to hurry and he walks at the same speed.
Kevin tells Phil thank you for the introduction. You can downplay him as much as you want now, but not tomorrow. Kevin says winning the contract is a priority because it allows us to do the most important thing, win the championship. He is going to make sure that Punk does not win. No one needs to see you as WWE champion ever again.
As long as Punk doesn’t walk out with the contract, he considers himself a winner.
Punk says that is the typical line from Kevin that he makes excuses. You won’t win and Punk not winning isn’t a consolation prize. That is what makes Punk the best in the world, because he thinks he is the best. You will always be down in the dirt looking up at him.
Kevin calls Punk a delusional prick and he climbs a ladder to be almost face to face with Punk. Kevin says that now that we are eye to eye, he wants to say what he sees when he looks in his eyes. It is a man who won’t walk out with the contract and won’t walk out on his own two feet. Kevin says he will win and then cash in on that bitch Sami Zayn.
Sami interrupts and comes out.
Kevin says hello to shorty since Sami is lower than them on a ladder.
Sami says that he has to say that all of this is very disappointing. It is symbolic that he is the WWE Champion, he is the one on the short ladder. The two who are struggling to win his title are above him.
Punk says it isn’t the size of the ladder, it is what you do with it. He will use it on Kevin tomorrow and then take the title from Sami.
Sami says he cannot believe the disrespect. Everyone is saying that if you grab the briefcase, you are guaranteed to be champion. He expects it from the others, but not you. Sami says he is a survivor. He says he finds a way. He found a way to win the title.
Punk says Kevin is the way to win the title.
Sami says he found a way to retain.
Kevin says it is because of that dumbass.
Sami says he is smarter and can see the forest for the trees. You cannot see that you are exactly alike. He knows it is insulting to both men. At least Kevin admits how much he wants to see Punk fail. It drives you crazy that Sami is here with the title and across from the man who you think cost him the title. Neither of you are going to grab the briefcase. You are not in the head space for it. You will walk out empty handed. Sami says he will still be your Undisputed champion.
We go to commercial.
Match Number One: Lash Legend, Tiffany Stratton, and Jacy Jayne versus Roxanne Perez, Sol Ruca, and Lola Vice
Jacy and Sol start things off. Jacy with a waist lock into a side head lock. Jacy with a shoulder tackle and misses a clothesline. Sol with a cartwheel into an X Factor for a near fall by Perez after the blind tag. Perez tries to send Jacy into the turnbucckles but Jacy sends Perez into the turnbuckles. Lash tags in and Perez with a slap and Perez curtsies. Lash misses a bicycle kick and Sol and Lola refuse to make the tag. Lash chases Perez around the ringside area and Lash with a forearm
Lash gets a near fall. Lola tags in and Lash sends her into the turnbuckles but Lash misses a splash. Lola with punches against the ropes. Lola with a spinning back heel kick. Lash goes to the floor and Lola goes for a rana off the apron but Lash blocks it. Lola counters a power bomb and Lola with a head scissors. Sol with a moonsault onto Lash. Perez with a suicide dive. Tiffany with a cross body and Sol with a moonsault. Lola with a clothesline and she tags Sol in. Sol trips Lash and Lola with a kick. Sol and Lola with a double super kick. Lash distracts the referee and Jacy pulls Sol to the floor and Jacy with a kick. Lash with a forearm when Sol returns to the ring.
Lash slams Sol’s head into the mat. Jacy tags in and chokes Sol. Jacy with a back senton for a near fall. Tiffany tags in but Jacy doesn’t appreciate it. Sol tries to make the tag but Tiffany stops her. Tiffany chokes Sol in the ropes and she hits a running hip to the back. Tiffany gets a near fall. Lash tags in and kicks Sol and sends her face first into the mat. Lash with a splash for a near fall. Lash with shoulders to Sol but Sol with a rollup for a near fall. Lash with a knee to the midsection and Jacy tags in. Kjacy with a thrust kick and snap mare. Jacy with a rear chin lock. Sol backs Jacy into the corner but Jacy holds on. Jacy sends Sol into the turnbuckles and connects with a double thrust. Jacy with a thrust kick to knock Lola off the apron. Jacy misses a cannonball and Sol crawls to make the tag and Perez returns the favor to Sol for what she did earlier. Jacy with a running neck breaker for a near fall.
Sol with an elbow and she knocks Lash off the apron. Lola tags in and she knocks Lash and Tiffany off the apron. Lola with kicks and Naomi kicks. Lola with Naomi kicks to Lash. Lola with a spinning thrust kick to send Lash into the corner. Lola with Shakira hips to Jacy and Lash. Perez tags in and they argue and push each other. Tiffany takes care of both of them and hits a handspring cutter. Tiffany with a Finlay Slam and she goes to the turnbuckles but Lash tags in. Lash blocks an inside cradle and Perez goes for a tornado DDT but Lash blocks it. Perez with a drop kick and she tries for Pop Rox but Lash escpes. Sol tags in and hits a springboard drop kick on Lash. Lash with a springboard cross body but Lash catches Sol and Sol with a tornado DDT for a near fall.
Jacy with a knee to Sol. Perez with Pop Rox to Jacy. Tiffany with a drop kick to Perez. Lola with a back fist to Perez. Sol hits Sol Snatcher on Lola when Lash pushes her into the way. Lash with Lash Extension for the three count.
Winners: Lash Legend, Tiffany Stratton, and Jacy Jayne
After the match, Lash stops the celebration and sends Jacy to the floor and hits Lash Extension on Tiffany.
Cathy Kelley is with Chelsea Green and she asks about the possibility of a cash in.
Green says she is going to be positive. Tiffany is going to win and then they will go to Raw.
Nikki says Green shouldn’t be worried about a cash in, but she should worry about what she does to Paige next week and what she will do to Green. She says that Green is a bootleg Nikki Bella and the title deserves an upgrade to the real thing
There is a crash in the back ground and Michin and B-Fab attack Charlotte Flair along with Jade. They send Jade into a production case.
Charlotte Flair says she is fine.
Nick Aldis lets Tatum and Alexa know what happened. Nick says that they are no longer in the building and Charlotte is not cleared to wrestle. Nick says the match is going to be postponed.
Charlotte says that Alexa is taking her spot so Jade doesn’t screw things up for them.
Nick says everyone else is banned from ringside.
Match Number Two: Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga versus Erik and Ivar in a Non Title Match
Talla and Erik start things off. Erik with punches and Talla with a clothesline. Talla kicks Erik in the back. Tama tags in and he head butts Erik and connects with elbows. Talla comes in and Ivar makes the tag and all four are in the ring. Erick punches Tama on the floor and Talla with forearms. Ivar with a cannonball onto Tama and Talla off the apron. Talla with an uppercut to Erik followed by a clothesline. Talla knocks Ivar off the apron. Talla slams Erik.
Tama tags in and gets a near fall. Tama with a punch and Talla with a running boot for a near fall. Erik with punches and Talla with a punch and he chokes Erik. Tama tags in and he hits a splash in the corner, followed by one from Talla. Talla with a side slam and Tama gets a near fall. Tama with cross faces and a Cobra Clutch. Tama with knees to the midsection and he takes Erik to the mat. Erik with elbows to escape but Tama with a punch. Erik with a forearm. Tama with punches to Erik. Ivar tgs in and he hits a side slam and a cross body.
Ivar goes for a slam but Tama escapes. Ivar with a cartwheel and Spin Kick of Doom. Ivar goes up top and Talla gets on the apron to stop him. Ivar with elbows to knock Talla to the floor. Tama crotches Ivar and hits a hanging neck breaker for a near fall.
Nakamura and Kiyoki come out and distract Tama.
Tama runs into a seated splash. Erik with a knee to Talla and he connects with a forearm. Tama with a flatliner and an drop kick to Ivar.
Kiyoki is knocked off the apron by Tama and Erik and Ivar hit Viking Experience. Haku hits Erik with the walking stick. Talla sends Ivar to the floor and then they hit a boot and leg sweep combination on Iver for the three count.
Winners: Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga
After the match, Kiyoki and Nakamura take care of Talla and Tama to send them to the floor.
Ivar hits Kiyoki and then he pushes Nakamure. Nakamure with a knee to Ivar while Kiyoki holds his leg.
Danhausen says he has detected evil in the room with Pearce and Aldis.
Finn Balor says he wants a match against Gunther and he wants it tonight.
Nick says Gunther has requested a match tonight, but not against Finn. He wants a match against Danhausen. Nick says it is justified.
Finn asks Danhausen if he can handle Gunther and mentions who he has beaten.
We take a look back at last week’s main event.
Miz complains about how he has been treated on his birthday.
Nick tells Randy Orton what he did last week was unacceptable.
Randy says Nick can save his speech. Randy says he could be home before the main event is in the ring so he will go home and do it. He says he is not the problem, Cody is. Cody says he will kick his head off his shoulders. Randy did what he said he would do and that is keep the title from Cody until he gets number fifteen. He tells Nick to tell Cody that he sent him home but we know he will not do it when he has the chance.
Miz comes out with Kit Wilson and he says Nick cannot push him aside. He is going to take over this show. When someone puts twenty years of blood, sweat, and tears into a company you get a birthday party.
Kit calls the fans toxic.
Before the singing can commence, Cody’s music interrupts.
Miz wants them to stop Cody’s music. He complains about the fans singing Cody’s music and not for him. He tells Cody since he is not champion, he can stay out of his ring or wish him a Happy Birthday.
Cody sends Kit to the floor and then hits CrossRhodes on Miz.
Cody wants to know what the people want to talk about.
Nick says this is what he was trying to avoid and why he sent Randy home. He doesn’t want this to go off the rails. If you tear each other apart in the back our outside, it does nothing for them. It risks injury. This is about business. Nick says his job is to get the match in the ring. This is a long way from being over, but he suggests they go to his office to discuss things.
Cody leaves the ring and then stays in the ring. He tells Nick to come into his office. He says he beat Randy at Wrestlemania. Randy kicked him in the head and he was bleeding with his eye swollen shut. You try to hide it from your family. His daughter didn’t have to see it and she cried in front of him. Cody says he is going to take the fear she had and take it everywhere until Randy Orton is no more. He stands here today because of mercy he gave to Randy. He says he would be champion if Randy wasn’t hiding in the shadows. Cody wants Nick to give him Randy Orton.
Cody says he is not above flying to St. Louis. It is not about what road he is going tto go down or who owns his soul. He says he is going to finish Randy and he has some not nice things to describe Randy.
Cathy is with Damian Priest.
Priest mentions that he cashed in and he would be champion again if it wasn’t for R Truth.
Cathy asks where they stand.
Priest says if you are too stubborn to understand, it is your fault. He Is not going to explain himself.
Priest tells Axiom and Frazer to say it to his face if he has something to say.
Frazer says he doesn’t like what Priest is doing to Truth.
Priest asks if he should apologize.
Axiom says he should apologize.
Priest walks away and then he comes back and attacks both men. Priest apologizes...
Truth attacks Priest and punches him. Officials separate them.
Match Number Three: Danhausen verus Gunther
Danhausen stops the referee from calling for the bell and he tries to curse someone but Gunther with a boot. Gunther with a power bomb. Gunther with a chop. Gunther pulls Danhausen by the hair and chops him again and hits a power bomb. Gunther chops Danhausen in the corner and puts him on the turnbuckles. Gunther with chops. Gunther chokes Danhausen on the turnbuckles.
Finn Balor’s music plays and he comes to the ring and Finn with a double leg take down and punches. Gunther with a knee and Finn escapes a power bomb and he kicks Gunther. Finn escapes a slam and hits a reverse DDT. Finn with sling blade on the floor and he goes for a running drop kick but Gunther goes over the ringside barrier to stop Finn.
Finn checks on Danhausen and Gunther comes back and he sends Finn into the ringside barrier. Gunther goes for a power bomb but Finn gets to the apron and he kicks Gunther. Gunther blocks a kick and he sends Finn into the apron and the ring post. Gunther with a back drop driver onto the ringside barrier and onto the apron. Gunther power bombs Finn onto the announce table.
Johnny tells Candice that they should be Mr. and Mrs. Money in the Bank.
Sami shows up and he talks about the disrespect. Sami says he wishes Johnny won last week.
Johnny says Sami could help.
Candice and Johnny want to know what Nick said to Sami. Sami says he was told he could not interfere. He says they need to reassess.
Bron shows up and he says he will see Sami soon.
Match Number Three: Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley versus Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley for the Women’s Tag Team Championship
Reid and Alexa start things off. Reid with a forearm when Fallon distracts Alexa. Fallon tags in and Alex with punches. Alexa sends Reid to the floor. Fallon with a blockbuster for a near fall. Alexa counters a pump handle slam and Tatum tags in with forearms and a drop kick to Reid. Tatum with a German suplex to Fallon. Tatum runs into a back elbow and Reid tags in. Fallon sends Tatum to the apron and Tatum with an elbow to Reid. Fallon blocks the enzuigiri from the floor and Reid knocks Tatum to the floor.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Fallon kicks Tatum on the mat. Reid tags in and they Irish whip Tatum but Fallon is sent to the floor after a forearm from Tatum. Reid stops Tatum from making the tag. Reid blocks a sunset flip but misses an elbow drop. Alexa tags in and connects with forearms and strikes. Alexa with a DDT and a blockbuster for a near fall. Reid with a knee and Fallon tags in. Alexa goes for Sister Abigail on Reid since she did not know about the tag and Fallon with a forearm. Fallon with a flap jack and Reid with a DDT for a near fall. Tatum breaks up the cover. Reid sends Tatum to the floor.
Alexa sends Reid into the ropes and Tatum with an enzuigir. Alexa with a kick to Fallon and Tatum under rotates on a 450 splash and land son her feet. Tatum gets a near fall but Reid puts Fallon’s foot on the ropes. Alexa with Sister Abigail to Reid on the floor and Tatum with Cemetery Drive for the three count.
Winners: Tatum Paxley and Alexa Bliss (new champions)
Next week, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton will be face to face. Nikki Bella faces Paige and R Truth faces Damian Priest.
Match Number Four; Trick Williams versus Bron Breakker
They lock up and Trick with a punch on the break. Trick with a drop kick. They go to the floor and Bron sends Trick into the announce table. Bron goes to the apron for the clothesline over the announce table. They return to the ring and Bron with shoulders in the corner. Bron puts Trick on the turnbuckles. Bron sets for a superplex but Trick blocks it and punches Bron. Trick with a flying clothesline. Trick with a punch. Bron avoids a punch and hits a German suplex for a near fall. Bron with a rear chin lock and a cross face. Bron sends Trick to the mat. The referee warns Bron. Bron with a reverse chin lock.
Trick with elbows and punches. Bron with a German suplex and he sets for a spear. Trick with a kick to stop Bron. Bron with an elbow to stop the uranage. Both charge at each other and connect with clotheslines. Trick punches Bron and Bron punches back. They go back and forth. Trick with a jumping side kick and a second one. Trick with a flap jack. Trick sets for the back hand slap and connects. Trick with catchphrase kicks.
Trick gets Bron up but Bron escapes and Bron runs into a cyclone kick. Trick sets for the running knee and Bron with a double knee gut buster for a near fall. The straps come down and Bron sets for the WARP spear and Trick with a jumping knee.
Austin Theory attacks Trick and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Trick Williams (by disqualification)
Austin with more punches and Logan punches Yachty. Evans comes out and hits a rebound spin kick. Bron attacks Evans. Penta comes out and he hits a few thrust kicks on Bron. Penra with a flip dive onto Bron and Theory. Bronson Reed with a running body tackle to Penta. Reed kicks Trick.
Theory holds Trick for a spear from Bron and Reed with a Tsunami.
