WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN TOMORROW: THE WWE MONEY IN THE BANK TIP SHEET

By Dave Scherer & Mike Johnson & Richard Trionfo on 2026-10-09 13:08:00

WWE will present Money in the Bank this Saturday on ESPN Unlimited and Netflix from New Orleans, Louisiana with a 6:00 PM Eastern start time for the show.  Here is what we think will happen on Saturday.

Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match:  Lola Vice vs Jacy Jayne vs Lash Legend vs Roxanne Perez vs Tiffany Stratton vs Sol Ruca

Dave: To me it comes down to Lash and Tiffany.  Tiffany has the ready-made storyline with Chelsea Green so her winning makes the most sense to me.  Lash would be second.  The outlier would be Perez since it would make for an interesting storyline with Liv if she were to win.  But, Tiffany makes the most sense.

Mike: Roxanne!  I like the idea of using this to immediately elevate Jacy or Lola or even Lash, but I feel like Perez has put in the time and is the one here. Watching Sol diving off ladders should be fun.

Richard:   I will start off by mentioning the people who I don't think will win:  Sol, Lash, Lola, and Jacy.  Sol will do the most spectacular spot in the match, probably a Sol Snatcher or moonsault off the ladder.  She will probably win one in the future.  Lola is new on the main roster and she can lose the match and not have it affect her current trajectory.  It is more about her having a strong performance.  Lash has improved, but she is there to be the base for all of the crazy stuff.  Jacy is in the same boat as Lola.  You aren't going to win, but have a strong performance.  It may seem like I am not being consistent with my analysis of these two options.  If Tiffany wins, there will be the discussion about how she won the match in 2024 and she was friends with the champion . . . she turned on the champ . . . and cashed in.  We don't need to see that again because TIffany is a face now.  If she was a heel, I might think otherwise.  That is why I think Roxanne wins this match.  She has an issue with Stephanie because of the Judgment Day stuff and if they want to have us remember how Liv ignored Roxanne when praising members of the group individually.  If you remember when Finn was still in the group, Roxanne was his only ally.   What if Liv wins the title later in the show and Roxanne celebrates with a briefcase shot to Liv and a cash in?

NXT Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match:  Bron Breakker vs CM Punk vs Kevin Owens vs Trick Williams vs Je'Von Evans vs Penta

Dave: Punk and Owens should cancel each other out.  Neither of them needs the briefcase.  I would have said Bron but even with help from the rest of his group he still can't get much in on Oba Femi.  The briefcase wouldn't suddenly change that.  It's WAY too soon for Evans, way too soon.  So, Trick or Penta.  I could make a good case for either of them but if it's me, I strike with the momentum that Penta has.  It's easy to forget but he's 41 years old.  I say give him the briefcase and he can be a true babyface by announcing a rematch with Roman Reigns (or a match with LA Knight).

Mike: I feel like the most shocking result would be Bron winning, since he's been so deemphasized of late.  I also think Trick should be the one elevated here.  Watching Je'Von being all BOUNCY in this environment could be a ton  of fun.  But, my gut says Bron unless they want Owens or Punk to chase Sami into Saudi Arabia.

Richard:  Let's get the people I don't think will win out of the way . . . Evans, Bron, and Trick.  I think Evans and Trick can win in the future and Bron has been neutered so much that I cannot see him winning when I was saying he would win the Royal Rumble and look what happened.  Now he is Reed's understudy.  Of the other three, I think Punk is the long shot because I think some people will complain about Punk winning again like some complain about Cody's booking.  Penta is my second choice because I wouldn't mind seeing another Roman/Penta match.  My pick is Kevin Owens because, like Punk, has issues with both champions and to see Kevin messing with the champs and tease a cash in a few times.  I expect to see Evans do a cutter or some other crazy move off the ladder (and maybe passing up a chance to win to get the crowd pop).  Do we get a ladder swanton from Owens?  The thing I want to see in this match is a spear to someone on a ladder by Bron.

Men's World Championship Match:  Roman Reigns vs LA Knight

Dave: Given the build up, with it basically being Knight's last stand normally he would HAVE to win.  But since I have my doubts that will happen I could see him lose and turn heel.  Joining 946, just in time for War Games, would make sense.  Remember, Keys came after Solo, but not Knight.

Mike: I feel like if Knight doesn't win here, the audience is going to throw their hands up.  Perhaps he wins and then there's a cash in that takes the belt away?

Richard:   With Roman outside the Bloodline storyline bubble, he has had some good matches where we didn't get the same Roman booking we saw for years.  I don't see Roman losing because I don't think the people in Saudi Arabia writing the check wants to see LA Knight/Sami Zayn.  Knight needs to have his best match in WWE on saturday and I can see it happen.  If Knight loses, it is not curtains for him, but he might not get another title match for a while.  Please keep 946 out of this.  Let the build for War Games start on Monday night.  If Solo shows up, who will he help since he was associated with Knight for a while.  Roman retains in the best of the non ladder matches on the show.

Women's World Championship Match: Stephanie Vaquer vs Liv Morgan vs Becky Lynch

Dave: I HATE the way they set this up.  Vaquer tells them to figure out who is the number one contender among themselves, then she screws it up and it becomes a three way.  Ugh.  I hate for the champ to lose in a three way so I will go with Stephanie retaining.

Mike: This thing is so backwards, I expect Stephanie will pin both at once AND I AM NOT KIDDING.

Richard:  How predictable is WWE that on my hotline on Monday I jokingly (not completely) suggested that we would get a Triple Threat Match.  If my pick for Money in the Bank happens, I could see a potential cash in because of the way that Liv has treated Roxanne.  However, let's look at the three people in the match.  There is one person I can't see winning the match (so it will happen) is Becky Lynch.  She doesn't need the title.  A Liv win opens the Pandora Box of everything she has done to belittle Roxanne.  I don't want to see Judgment Day get involved, but I would say it is 75/25 there are shenanigans.  If there are shenanigans, it could backfire and help Stephanie retain.  Let's go with a new champion (and tension in Judgment Day)

Oba Femi vs Bronson Reed

Dave:  Reed couldn't get over with help.  How is he supposed to win here?  I don't see him doing so.  Probably a DQ loss would be the best they can hope to salvage how weak they have made The Vision look.

Mike: If Bronson loses clean, what was the point of working so hard to come back? Reed should win.

Richard:  I do not normally advocate for a non-finish, but this might be the time to do it.  However, that would be the second 'special event' where Oba faces a member of The Vision with a non finish.  The problem with this match is that there is no way that Oba should lose, but if you are going to make Oba dominate this match, it can hurt Bronson.  If Oba doesn't dominate after destroying all members of The Vision at once, it makes Oba look weaker.  Does Reed hit a Tsunami that Oba takes and no sells?  I hope no one interferes to try to help Reed.  What is next for each man after this?
