4 - Shingo Takagi, OSKAR, Yuto-Ice and Jeff Cobb vs. Zane Jay, Great O-Khan, HENARE and Callum Newman
Takagi hits a Death Rider on Jay and gets the win.
After the match, Takagi mocks Jon Moxley.
As everyone was leaving the ring, Callum Newman chop blocks OSKAR in the leg. He throws OSKAR in the ring and HENARE and O-Khan was about to destroy OSKAR's leg when Unbound Company comes to make the save. The announcers ponder whether Newman was doing a favor for Will Ospreay or for Great O-Khan, again teasing the past dissension within United Empire.
5 - Ares and Yota Tsuji vs. Zack Sabre Jr. and Ryohei Oiwa
Ares is a Vietnamese wrestler and this is first match in New Japan. Ares was brought into the company by Yota Tsuji, when Tsuji went to Southeast Asia to scout new wrestling talent.
Ares hit an F5 on ZSJ. ZSJ trapped him in an arm submission and Ares tapped out.
Ares looked good at times, but small when compared to the larger Zack Sabre Jr.
A video of MJF plays. He talks crap to Ryohei Oiwa and challenges him to match.
6 - Tatsuya Matsumoto, Hechicero and Aaron Wolf vs. Hartley Jackson, Robbie Eagles and Kosei Fujita
Eagles forces Matsumoto to tap out to the Ron Miller Special.
Wolf and Fujita continue to brawl and fight after the match. Hechicero holds Wolf back and the young lions separate Fujita.
7 - IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship: YOH vs. Robbie X
YOH hits a ripcord knee strike and a Direct Driver. YOH pins Robbie X.
YOH retains the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship.
YOH puts over Robbie X and thanks the fans in Korakuen.
Robbie Eagles comes out and declares himself the next challenger. Eagles puts the Ron Miller Special on YOH and forces him to defend the IWGP Jr. Title at King of Pro Wrestling on 10/12/26.
This is was not a good angle. Is Eagles a heel or face? Eagles looks weak by attacking the champion after he just wrestled. But it is what it is.
AEW has a presence in New Japan now with mentions of Jon Moxley and MJF showing up. MJF essentially said New Japan is not a place anyone wants to be as they are all moving to AEW. Yet he challenges Ryohei Oiwa. That does not make sense. Are they building towards Moxley, Ospreay and MJF at Wrestle Kingdom? Or an AEW show in the States? We are heading into Tag Tournaments for the remainder of the year in New Japan. To mention AEW wrestlers in New Japan, there should be a payoff for the Japanese fanbase at some point.
