BananaGoal Shows Its Work: Inside the AI Football Predictor That Grades Itself in Public

With 552 competitions, six languages and a track record that keeps every loss on display, BananaGoal.com is betting that football fans want transparency more than hype.

On a Tuesday night in early October, two of the free picks on BananaGoal.com's homepage told two very different stories. In the EFL Trophy, the model gave Port Vale against Mansfield a 62% chance of finishing under 3.5 goals. It came in. Down in England's Isthmian League, it rated over 2.5 goals at Maldon & Tiptree against Welling United a much stronger 79%. That one didn't.

Most prediction sites would quietly move on from the second result. BananaGoal can't, by design. Both picks were published before kick-off, both were marked won or lost after the final whistle, and both now sit in a public record that, in the site's own words, nobody edits later. That small detail is what the whole project is built around.

A prediction service, not a bookmaker

BananaGoal describes itself as an AI-driven football prediction service. Every pick on the site comes from a machine-learning model the team built and runs itself, not from a tipster with a hunch or a "lock of the week". The site is careful to say what it is not. It does not take bets, it does not hold anyone's money, and it calls itself "an analysis service, not a bookmaker".

That distinction matters in a corner of the internet crowded with affiliate links and too-good-to-be-true promises. According to the company, no bookmaker owns any part of BananaGoal or pays it through affiliate or sponsorship deals. The service is run by two registered companies, KickOff Ventures LLC in Delaware and NerdyTech HUB SRL in Romania, and is strictly for adults aged 18 and over.

How the model thinks

Under the hood, BananaGoal's statistical model reads the kind of data analysts and scouts argue about every weekend. For each fixture it looks at expected goals (xG) created and conceded, current form, home and away records, probable line-ups, injuries and previous meetings. It also reads the bookmakers' prices and how those prices move in the run-up to a match.

From all of that, the model gives every market a chance of coming in, from 0 to 95%. The cap is deliberate: BananaGoal never calls a result certain, because in football nothing is. The markets covered are the ones fans actually talk about:

  • the 1X2 result and double chance;

  • total goals over or under a line;

  • both teams to score, and whether each side scores;

  • the winning margin.

Each match also gets a single "best tip". This is not simply the most likely outcome. It is the market where the model's probability and the probability implied by the bookmaker's price differ the most. In other words, it is where the model disagrees most with the market. Picks with a chance of 90% or more go to the site's Bet of the Day page.

Just as notable is what does not happen. No person approves, selects or edits a pick, before or after it is published. The model makes the call, and the record keeps it.

The numbers, with the small print on top

BananaGoal has an unusual rule about its own statistics: a win rate should always come with its period and the number of predictions behind it. There is no single headline accuracy figure designed for a banner ad.

So here are the numbers, as the site published them on 6 October 2026. Since 19 May 2021, the model has recorded 187,405 wins from 281,763 graded predictions, or 67%, counted per match across 1,889 days of results. For the picks it rated at 90% or more, the tally is 6,633 wins from 9,326 (71%). Over the most recent 30 days, the best tip came in for 5,408 of 8,344 settled matches, or 65%.

The track record page lays all of this out. It shows all-time and 30-day rates with their sample sizes, a heatmap of daily results, monthly totals and every graded day, losses included. Anyone who wants to check the work can download the last twelve months of settled predictions as a free spreadsheet, with no account needed. Each row gives the fixture, the model's pre-match call and the final result.

From the Premier League to the Isthmian League

What makes BananaGoal stand out for everyday fans is its reach. In the past 120 days, 552 competitions received at least one prediction, covering domestic leagues and cups from 120 countries plus international tournaments. On a single October day, the board carried published predictions for 116 matches. The coverage runs from the Premier League, La Liga and the Champions League down to Colombia's Primera A, Israel's Liga Alef and English non-league football.

Every competition has a page of its own, with upcoming picks, graded results, the current table and season trends. Every club and national team gets a page too. It lists upcoming picks, recent form and, tellingly, how the model's picks on that team have fared over time. For anyone involved in grassroots or semi-professional football, that is a rare sight: the same data-driven treatment the elite leagues get, applied to the clubs they follow every week.

Match pages go deeper. A typical page shows the top pick with its chance, the model's percentages for home win, draw and away win next to the current odds, goal lines, both-teams-to-score probabilities, form and head-to-head records. There is even an estimate of each side's market value.

Built for every fan, in their own language

BananaGoal runs in six languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Romanian and Russian. Each edition has its own translated page names. Odds can be shown in decimal, fractional or American format. The site works in light and dark themes and is designed to feel at home on a phone, with a bottom tab bar that leads straight to the day's tips, Bet of the Day and the Bet Builder.

What's free, and what Premium unlocks

A lot of BananaGoal is open to everyone without signing up:

  • a daily set of up to six free picks on the homepage;

  • every prediction whose match has finished, since all picks go public at full time, whatever the result;

  • the full track record, plus every competition and team page;

  • one ready-made AI Bet Builder slip each day.

A Premium subscription unlocks the rest of the board: every upcoming pick in every competition, each with its odds and its chance of coming in. It also opens Bet of the Day and the option to sort the board by chance. The Bet Builder becomes a proper tool, where subscribers choose their target odds, the markets, the number of legs, the leagues and the minimum chance for each selection.

Memberships come in one, three or six-month terms, plus a lifetime option. Prices appear in the visitor's own currency: euros in Europe, US dollars everywhere else. A first subscription can be refunded in full within three days, and cancelling takes a single click.

Responsibility built in

For a service that lives next to the betting world, BananaGoal is unusually direct about the risks. Its position is that a prediction is an estimate, not a promise, and none of its content is financial advice. Every page links to BeGambleAware.org. A dedicated safer gambling page covers setting limits, recognising the signs of a problem and where to find free support.

That honesty is also the product. A model that shows a 79% pick losing on a Tuesday night in Essex is a model that respects its readers enough to let them judge it.

The bottom line

Football will always be unpredictable. That is why we watch. BananaGoal doesn't pretend otherwise. Instead, it offers something rarer than a hot tip: a clear, data-driven view of every match, a chance attached to every call, and a public record that keeps the misses right next to the hits.

Back in Maldon, the 79% pick that didn't come in is still on the record. In an industry that loves to forget its losses, that might be BananaGoal's most convincing prediction of all.

BananaGoal is for adults aged 18 and over. Predictions are estimates, not guarantees. If gambling is affecting you or someone you know, visit BeGambleAware.org.
