WWE Hall of Famer Madusa Joins Cast of Horror Film The Last Hunt
GEORGIA — WWE Hall of Famer MADUSA (a.k.a. ALUNDRA BLAYZE and Debrah Miceli) has joined the cast of the upcoming horror film The Last Hunt, taking on the role of Dawn.
Written and directed by Brock Drury, The Last Hunt follows Cash Walker, a hunting vlogger who brings his family and film crew to Blackwater Lodge, a remote hunting retreat, to shoot his next episode. What starts as a routine trip turns into something none of them planned for.
Madusa is best known for her groundbreaking professional wrestling career. Performing under the names Madusa and Alundra Blayze, Miceli competed for major promotions including WWE and WCW and became a three time WWE Women's Champion. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015.
Madusa's casting in The Last Hunt brings her into the world of horror, giving audiences an opportunity to see the longtime performer in a new role. “People think Hall of Famers sit on couches. I still work. I still plant trees. And I still know how to make an audience lean in when the blood hits,” said Miceli.
“We’re incredibly excited to have Madusa join The Last Hunt,” said writer and director Brock Drury. “Audiences know her for her legendary wrestling career, but we wanted to put her in a completely different environment. Her role as Dawn gives us the opportunity to show audiences a side of Madusa they may not have seen before.”
The film is produced by Bradley Harrelson and Lone Pine Productions. Principal photography for The Last Hunt is expected to begin this fall in Georgia.
