By Mike Johnson on 2026-10-08 21:05:00

Welcome to this week's edition of MLW Fusion from The Melrose Ballroom in NYC!

They aired highlights of everything that has gone on the last few weeks leading up to tonight's Street Fight.

All the call are Joe Dombroski and Tom Lawlor!

Opera Cup: Andrew Everett vs. Ikuro Kwon with Josef Samael

Everett drilled Kwon and scored with a standing moonsault press for a two count.  He nailed a leaping rana, sending Kwon into the corner.  Kwon drilled Everett and wore him down with kicks and stomps.    Kwon scored several near falls.   Everett came back with an overhead belly to belly suplex.  Everett nailed a springboard kick.  Kwon came back with a series of kicks.  Everett hit a springboard flip off the ropes and nailed a dropkick.  Kwon snatched him with a cutter variation for a two count.  Everett struck with a kick and nailed a twisting splash for a two count.  Everett was knocked off the ropes and landed hard on the apron outside.  He and Kwon fought in the corner.  Samael distracted the referee, allowing Kwon to spew mist in Everett's face.  He drilled him and scored the pin.

Your winner, Ikuro Kwon!

Rich Bocchini interviewed Austin Aries on the stage.  He said what Aries did to Mistico was disgusting.  He told Bocchini his teeth were disgusting.  Ouch!  He said he had a plan and executed it.  The crowd chanted, "Shut the f*** up."  Aries said he made sure Mistico would not win so the path is clear for him to fulfill his destiny and become the champion.

They aired a vignette on the Glasgow Boys.

Opera Cup: Big Damo with Josef Samael vs. Wolfgang

The two big guys each tried to charge and rock the other to no avail.  They went to the floor and charged around the ring, crashing into each other.  Same thing.  They battled into the ring, where Damo wiped him out with a leaping shoulderblock.  Damo nailed a kick and a splash in the corner, then hit a legdrop for a two count.  Wolfgang made a comeback and hit a running splash in the corner.  He attempted to slam Damo but it didn't work.  Damo hit a chokenstein for a two count.  Damo went to the top but took too long, allowing Wolfgang to cut him off.  Wolfgang nailed a superplex into the ring.  The crowd chanted, "This is awesome."  They recovered drilled each other with clotheslines. Damo went for a move but was caught and slammed.  Wolfhgang went to the top and went for a swanton bomb but Damo pulled his knees up.  Damo hit an evil looking inverted impaler for the pin.

Your winner, Big Damo!

LaBron Kozone was interviewed by Rich Bocchini.  Kozone was asked for a Teddy Long update.  Teddy told him to keep winning.  He's not done with the Glasgow Boys but his focus is winning the Opera Cup.

JUMBO vs. Rich Moya.

JUMBO was billed at 400 lbs.  JUMBO smash.  The end.

Your winner, JUMBO!

They aired a promo building to the debut (finally) of Tessa Blanchard.

Matt Riddle said Killer Kross owes him and he wants a shot at the MLW title in Chicago.  Austin Aries said if anyone deserves a shot, it's him.  Riddle said he would smoke him.  Austin insulted Riddle, who said he'd knock out Aries' ass anytime, but not today (since Riddle has a match).

They showed the ring crew having to adjust the ring after JUMBO competed in it.

NYC Street Fight: MLW Champion Killer Kross with Scarlett Bordeaux & Matt Riddle vs. The Skyscrapers

Everyone brawled.  The crowd chanted for Kross.  Weapons were brought into the equation.  Due to the building standing, I don't have a great sight of the brawling, so I apologize.  They battled back into the ring, where Kross nailed Bishop with a big DDT.  Kross was whipped into a chair wedged in the corner.  Riddle unloaded with kicks on Bishop.   They battled back around ringside. Scarlett misted Dijak with water.  They put a trash can over Bishop and beat it with kendo sticks.  Lots of battling.   Bishop chokeslammed Riddle.  Dijak nailed a moonsault for a two count but Kross broke it up.  They beat down Kross.     The Skyscrapers set up a table and were going to put Riddle through it but were attacked by Kross with kendo stick shots.    They battled back snd forth until the Skyscrapers used stereo low blows.  Kross and Riddle worked them over and nailed suplexes.  The Skyscrapers came back.  Bischop hit a Razor's Edge through the table on Kross and pinned him.

Your winners, The Skyscrapers!

They played up that the crowd was shocked Kross was pinned, saying it was the most shocked NYC has been since Bruno Sammartino lost to Ivan Koloff in 1971.  They wondered what could happen now that it was proven Kross could be beaten.
