MONSTER'S MAYHEM MATCH: LIVE, ONGOING MLP NORTHERN RISING 2026 COVERAGE FROM TORONTO

Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling’s North Rising is coming from Mattamy Athletic Centre at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, Canada, previously known as Maple Leaf Gardens.

The preshow is hosted by Arda Ocal and Veda Scott, and they run down the upcoming card. We then get a hype video for the main event of Steve Maclin vs. Adam Copeland made from the promos that have been airing on Mayhem. 

Our commentary team is Don Callis and Mauro Ranallo.

Jonathan Gresham vs. Vaughn Vertigo vs. Tarik

Gresham kicks Tarik and is driven into Tarik. They all run to the ropes, and Gresham is tossed out of the ring. Tarik gets a pair of blows, and they run the ropes. Vertigo gets a series of attacks and covers for a two-count, and Gresham breaks it up. Gresham works over Vertigo and tosses him, and Gresham is then worked over in the corner by Tarik.

Gresham gets a rollup for two, and Gresham starts to back off but fires a chop. Tarik fires back and drops Gresham. Vertigo then attacks Tarik and gets a shoulder breaker. Tarik starts to attack Gresham after Gresham is on top, and when he sees Vertigo charge, dodges and lets Vertigo knock Gresham to the floor. Vertigo and Tarik go back and forth with quick moves and two counts. Vertigo gets a Shining Wizard after a Vaughnton bomb for two, broken up by Gresham.

Gresham gets a rollup on Vertigo for the pin and the win.

Winner: Jonathan Gresham.

Next was a hype video for Psycho Mike vs Crazzy Steve and Dan Maff.

Jonny DeLucha vs. Rudra

They lock up and break quickly. They lock up again, and Rudra gets a side headlock. They move to running the ropes, and Rudra gets a tejaris. Then he gets a dropkick and a splash in the corner. Rudra goes for a power slam, but Jonny is able to escape out the back and run Rudra into the corner, and follows up with a dropkick.

Rudra gets a series of strikes, hits Jonny, reverses it, lays in blows in the corner, and hits a missile dropkick from two. Jonny trash-talks Rudra, and this allows Rudra to recover. Rudra gets a headbutt and then dodges strikes from Jonny and hits a big forearm shot. Rudra gets a diving clothesline after being whipped to the corner. Rudra gets a power slam for two.

Rudra sweeps Jonny’s legs when he goes to the top and follows with a knee strike. Rudra hits Rudra’s wrath, a spear from the corner, for the pin and the win.

Winner: Rudra

We then get a hype video for Pricilla Kelly vs. Nikki Storm for the MLP Women’s title. This is followed by a hype video for the Tag Team Title match with 1st Faction, Sinner and Saint, and Grizzled Young Veterans.

Jonny Parisi, Michael All Richard Clark, Gama Singh Jr w/Handsome Johnny Bradford vs. Luigi Primo, Mo Jabari, and El Reverso

Jabari and Clark start the match, and he gets an arm drag. They run the ropes, and Mo gets a series of kicks and a swinging neckbreaker for two. Parisi tags in and calls for Primo, who tags in. They lock up, and Parisi gets a side headlock and knocks Primo to the mat, where he keeps spinning his pizza dough. Primo gets a dropkick, sending Parisi to the floor.

Clark tags in and takes the pizza dough while Gama and Parisis pull Primo to the floor. Clark dives onto Primo, and Reverso dives onto everyone right after.  Gama tags in, as does Mo, and Gama gets a back suplex and lays in stomps. Gama gets a backbreaker and covers for two. Gama stomps on the pizza dough, still in the ring, and then sends Mo hard into the corner for two.

Gama lays in blows and tags in on Clark. Clark does push-ups on Mo’s back. He puts Mo in the tree of wood and tries for a baseball slide, but Mo sits up to avoid it. This sets off the tag team siren, and Reverso gets dropkicks and high-flying moves until Gama cuts him off. Gama brings Bradford’s pickleball racquet into the ring, and Luigi tosses his pizza dough at him twice and then gets the pin and the win on Gama.

Winners: Luigi Primo, Mo Jabari, and El Reverso

To close out the pre-show, we get a hype video of Stu Grayson and Josh Alexander for the MLP Canadian Title. 

Scott D’Amore, President of MLP, addresses the crowd. He thanks the crowd in person and those who watch MLP every week. He talks about how Canadian wrestling is back in this historic building. He says he saw a podcast with Adam Copeland, and he reached out to Adam to have him wrestle in this building. He thanks Tony Khan, Adam Copeland, and the crowd once again.

The show proper starts with a memorial banner for Benjamin Slattery, “Pac”.

There is a video of Adam Copeland talking about the importance of Maple Leaf Gardens. 

Johnny TV, TJP, and Gabriel Fuerza vs. Mascara Dorada and Subculture (Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster) - Lucha Libre Rules

TV and Andrews start the match by locking up and moving to mat work. They work to their feet, run the ropes, and Flash tags in. Subculture enters the ring, and that sets off the tag team siren, and everyone is in the ring brawling until the ref breaks it up. We are then down to Dorada and TJP, who quickly move to mar work and one counts. TJP gets an electric chair into a takeover. Dorada goes to the top for a tornado and an arm g+drag. From here, everyone starts diving onto members of the other team.

TJP is in the ring, and Dorada leaps from the top into a cutter. TV stars working over Dorada and gets a handyman neck breaker as everyone else is brawling on the floor. Webster pulls TV out of the ring,g and we then have Gabriel attacking Flash as Flash becomes the babyface in peril.

Flash leaps over his opponents and tags in Dorada, who runs wild. Gabriel and Dorada trade quick high-flying moves and run the ropes. Dorada ends it with a running shooting star press and then a Spanish fly. TV and TJP take out Dorada. Subculture works with TV and TJP back and forth. They're all sent to the floor, and then we get everyone getting a big move on the last person in the ring until everyone is down.

They all crawl toward each other and start throwing hands. We then go back to everyone getting their big moves until everyone is down again. TJP spits his mist into Gabriel’s eyes, and then Dorfdada’s team all dives onto TV’s team, and Dorada gets the pin and the win on Gabriel.

Winners:  Mascara Dorada and Subculture

Alexia Nicole and Kingsley vs. Jody Threat and “Big Al” Alice Crowley 

Threat and Kingsley start the match, and Kingsley tries a kick, but Threat catches it, and Kingsley escapes and tags in Nicole. Alice also tags in, and Crowley gets a series of kicks and strikes, followed by a Saito suplex for two. Threat is tagged in and Kingsley tags in again, and Threat runs through her and then gets an elbow strike. Threat gets a lariat for two. Threat gets a senton, and Crowley tags in for a leg drop and a two-count. 

Kingsley whips Crowley to the corner, and they work her over with quick tags and cutting the ring in half. Crowley is able to reverse a double back drop and tags in Threat. Threat gets a swanton on both of her opponents and then charges into them in the corner and gets a leap onto both of them in the ropes and follows with a German suplex on Nicole and then a stalling vertical suplex for two, broken up by Kingsley.

Kingsley gets a DDT on  Threat, and Crowley gets into the ring and hits an air raid crash on Kingsley. Nicole gets a circuit breaker on Crowley. Threat picks up both of her opponents and gets a combo Samoan drop and fallaway slam. Threat gets a Pop Shoppit, her version of the F5, on Kingsley for the pin and the win.

Winners: Jody Threat and “Big Al” Alice Crowley 

In the back, Ocal interviews Nikki Storm, who gives her side of their feud and talks about how she will be the forever champion of MLP.

Dan Maff vs. Crazzy Steve vs. Psycho Mike - Monster’s Mayhem.

There is plunder all around the ring. Maff tells Steve to back off and goes face-to-face with Mike. Maff drops Mike with a punch and then stomps him down. Steve is setting up plunder around the ring as Maff and Mike fight, with Maff in control. Mike gets shoulder tackles and a clothesline, and Steve attacks him from behind, and Maff goes back to beating down Mike.

Steve and Maff whip Mike into the corner where a garbage can is set up, and then Maff beats down Mike with a garbage can. Maff and Steve grab Kendo sticks and go after Mike with them. Maff gets a series of head butts in a full mount. Steve tells Maff to stop and hit a senton. They go back to work on Mike with Kendo sticks. Mike is able to get to his feet and gets lariats on both Maff and Steve.

Mike grabs a Kendo stick of his own and goes after Maff with it. He then slows down and goes after Steve with it. He grabs a second and beats Steve with both of them. Maff gets a pounce that knocksMikek to the floor. Steve holds Mike as Maff dives onto him, and Maff hits his head on the barricade.

Mike is sent back into the ring, and Steve beats and bites Mike in the corner. Maff then works over Mike in the corner. Maff pulls out a staple gun and uses it on Steve’s swimsuit area and then his head. As he poses for the crowd, Mike comes up behind him and goes for a body slam, but Maff escapes out the back. Mike gets a series of elbows on Maff, but Maff grabs a sleeper, and Mike drops to the mat. Mike raises his arm with the staple gun. Mike then staples Maff in his swimsuit area repeatedly. 

Mike then slams Maff into the chair in the corner, and then it’s time for a body slam through a table at ringside. Steve empties a bag of thumbtacks on the mat. Mike slowly rises and faces Steve. Steve gets a low blow and runs Mike into the corner. They go to the top and fight there. Steve is finally able to get a subset bomb on Mike into the thumbtacks for two. 

A board with barbed wire is put in the middle of the ring. Mike goes face to face with Steve, and Mike gets a body slam on Steve into the barbed wire for the pin and the win.

Winner: Psycho Mike

We then get a video tribute to Dewey Robertson, also known as The Missing Link.

Rohan Raja w/Aurora Teves vs. Andrade El Ídolo (AEW National Champion)

Andrade shoves Raja, and they start throwing hands. Andrade gets a series of unanswered blows, and Andrade yells at Teves for grabbing his feet. Andrade tries for the DM, and Raja rolls out of the ring. Teva rips up a fan’s sign, and Raja gets back in the ring at 9. Andrade gets a German suplex, then a dropkick, and Raja goes to the floor. Andrade dives onto him, and it’s time for Andrade to get a selfie with two women at ringside.

Raja is rolled into the ring, and Andrade goes to the top. Andrade gets a HIGH cross body for two. Andrade gets a suplex, and Raja stops him with a forearm strike. Raja runs into a chop in the corner, and Andrade gets a tejaris sending Raja to the floor. Andrade starts for a dive, but Tevas gets into the ring to stop him. She then offers to hug Andrade and instead slaps him. Raja then drops Andrade. 

Tevas doesn’t leave the ring, and the ref yells at both Raja and then tells Tevas she…is…outta here.

Andrade gets a rollup for two, and Raja lays in stomps before mounting for the ground and pound. Raja gets back to his feet and lays in stomps. He pulls Andrade up for a swinging neckbreaker for two. Raja grabs a rear cravat and then covers for a two-count and follows with an arm bar from behind. Andrade fights to his feet and fights free. They throw hands back and forth. Andrade gets clotheslined and then a flying forearm.

Andrade starts to take off his pants, and Raja attacks him from behind. Raja then goes for a suplex,  but Andrade reverses it into the Three Amigos for two. Andrade clotheslines Raja to the floor and then finally takes off his pants. Andrade goes to dive onto Raja, and Raja instead nails Andrade in the head. They fight through the ropes. Andrade finally gets a power slam from the apron to the floor.

Andrade rolls Raja into the ring and sets him in the corner. Andrade gets a meteora in the corner for two. Raja gets a flatliner for two. Raja grabs a STF, and Andrade rolls through for two. Andrade gets the Dia de la Muerte followed by the DM for the pin and the win.

Winner and still AEW National Champion: Andrade El Idolo

They shake hands after the match.
